Opus Player - WhatsApp Audio Search and Organize
Opus Player was born as a simple audio player for the opus format, but now it is something more.
As most audio players, you can start it in your file manager, but differently from the others, you can choose the audio output, selecting the main speaker or the earpiece (the speaker for the voice call). It is useful if you don't have a headphone with you.
Opus Player is compatible with most file explorers on Google Play.
Moreover it provides a lot of features for managing your audio messages such as deleting, sharing and organizing, that make it the best audio manager for WhatsApp's voice notes.
Features:
-SHARE THE AUDIO ON FACEBOOK: Opus Player is the only app that lets you share an audio as a Facebook post, a WhatsApp status or an Instagram story.
-CHOOSE THE AUDIO OUTPUT: you can switch your audio output between the standard multimedia and the voice call's speaker. Use it if you have problems with the proximity sensor when using WhatsApp.
-USE IT WITH WHATSAPP: if you listen a voice message through Opus Player, the sender will not know you’ve listened it. Just long press on the WhatsApp VNs, press on the share button and select Opus Player.
-WHATSAPP VOICE NOTES HISTORY: Opus Player takes a history of all your voice messages, received and sent, and it shows them to you in order of date, giving you the possibility to easily find an old voice note and share it with other apps.
-ORGANIZE IN CATEGORIES: you can create a category, giving it a name and an image and associate to it all the audio messages you want. After created the categories, you can filter the voice notes choosing to show only those belonging to one or more categories. Moreover you can delete all the voice notes in a category with only one click.
-RENAME THE VOICE NOTES: you can change the name to each audio message without worrying about the compatibility with WhatsApp: the name is stored and shown only in Opus Player, without modifying the file, in order to avoid problems while running on WhatsApp.
-SET A TEXT NOTE: you can relate each vNote to a text note, maybe for summarizing the content of the audio or for taking note of who is the sender.
-MULTIPLE SELECTION: you can select multiple voice messages received in a day and you can perform different actions on them:
-delete
-share
-add to a category
-set an icon
-set a text note
-SELECT THE FOLDER: you can manually select the folder in which Opus Player must search the .opus files. You can select the Telegram folder (Telegram\Telegram Audio\) as well. Just remember to select the "select the ogg files" option, because it uses the .ogg extension instead of .opus, and "use file's date", because it doesn't save the date in the name as WhatsApp does.

Amazing app !! My music teacher uses the voice notes feature of whatsapp to record audio to clarify doubts, and this app helps in storing them chronologically. What would be more useful is if we have an opportunity to play the same note repeatedly, as in a loop. This will help in practice more significantly. Thank you for the app. The paid version is amazing !!!
Very disappointed, i try to support creators so bought this app without realising that it wouldn't work on Samsung tablets and can't see a way to refund, they could have warned of this problem therefore bad experience and out of pocket. **To the credit of the creator, they contacted me and offered to try to resolve the technical problem, but were quite happy to give me a refund so happy to acknowledge that they did their best so credit where it's due.
This app does exactly what it says it does and nothing else. Good at finding and organizing the note files. Makes them easily accessible. But it does nothing else. I need an editor and converter too. Would be so cool to add the editing feature.
Very happy with this! I no longer need to backscroll forever to find old voice notes. I am also with the reviewer who said a download/save feature would be greatly appreciated. I LOVE this app. But I have a voice note on my WhatsApp that it won't retrieve. Oddly it retrieved one other from the same day but not the one I want. What can I do? Edit: thank you for your reply, the message was not deleted. Since the number was not a saved contact, my WhatsApp did not auto download the voice note, preventing it from being stored in my file manager and Opus Player.
Recently lost my fiancé & I wiped my phone literally the day before it happened. So I thought I lost all our conversations & all the thousands of voicenotes that we have sent each other over the past few years. Luckily even though my whatsapp memory had been deleted, the voicenotes remained in a folder but I had no way of listening to them. I googled an app to play the voicenotes & I thought I would have to convert each & every one of them, but then was pleasanly surprised by your app. Thank you
App was working just fine but two weeks ago, when opened it, it didn't display folders. Nothing. Tried pressing everywhere with no success. Today I tried again still nothing. Decided to update it just now but still, no folders displayed. What's happening? Edit: Had to uninstall and reinstall it. That fixes the issue.
This app can find all what's app voice notes in your phone's memory and sort them in folders by date. I was able to find a voice note from my deceased father from 2018, using this app. It only took 5 seconds and I had spent hours looking for it. I thought I had lost it. I found his voice again.
It's the best for listening to WhatsApp messages. However could use some sort of Home, or menu interface that blends better with phone's media, and perhaps any way to make it the default application for audio files without having to choose between this and any other audio app the user may have [in my case I have to always choose between this one and Amazon Music] and/or without having to go to the File Manager and selecting the "open with" option to open a given audio file? Apart from that 5/5.
It's not bad, it does what it says and it's useful for Wattsapp. I wish there was some way of sorting and searching through the audio though. Like grouping some in a folder together. It would be easier to search them when I need to share them but don't know the month, etc...
I love this app, I think it's better than the one I used before. It takes less space and retrieves all past audios so long as the files are on your phone. It's very organised also, nice and simple. Perfect for me.

I got an audio on WhatsApp and wanted it to post on Facebook. The audio file opens only through Opus player and I installed that from Google Playstore. Then with the help of the player, I made a video file, but couldn't post that on Facebook despite a number of attempts. I wrote my issue here and immediately got a helping hand (from an expert named Pasquale) through mail. He helped me a lot to resolve my issue and finally it works. Thanks indeed to the entire Opus team and I'm 100% satisfied.
Cool app. It didn't lie: it just let's you hear the opus files amd there are no annoying ads. I would give it a five but it lacks the opportunity to convert the opus files to mp3 files. So that's a new feature that should be added. Other than that this app is great
Useful app! It would be a life saver if u could save the voice notes according to chat in addition to date. Definitely 5 stars if u could include that. It's hard to go through every single voice note.
It doesn't work for all opus files. Secondly after paying for no ad version it wants to wipe out all other apps in order to update, when there is enough space on my phone. Just how much space does it need to update??
Great app! WhatsApp suddenly decided it won't play any voice notes, just get a "can't load audio" error. This app is a great workaround, works perfectly!
App is good but the " advanced option " doesn't work , after opening this option, it shows only advertising, please fix this issue and also before this app showed all content but now show only little files.
Was ok until i updated my phone. Having a terrible experience now. Keeps closing, voice notes noy in order etc
This is exactly what I have been looking for many years.A simple no nonsense app .It clearly sorts your whatsapp voice notes into folders by years,month and date.To every person involved in the development and release of this app- May you get the best parking spot.May your coffee never get cold(Unless you wanted ice coffee ,of course)
It is very good but I have an issue the App doesn't add the folder you want only open old folders when I choose latest folders it works very slow then shutdown really disturbing I hope it will be fixed
Extremely poor quality user interface. Use material design like everyone else please. Or at least make your own layout much more intelligible. Otherwise it works as advertised.
Rubbish app. It does not work. Rather spend your time to develop something that works. And drop the adverts, nobody is interested in that rubbish. We have shops to go to if we need anything. This app is now deleted. I found somthing that works right every time.
Useful app: simple and effective plus all voice notes are sorted by date & time, so are easy to find & access - and exporting is easy. My only feedback, if the developers are watching, would be to introduce an autoplay feature. It's a little annoying having to keep pressing play each time. Other than that, thanks very much for making a useful app 👍 P.s. Just downgraded my 5* review to a 4*, as flipping my phone into landscape mode stops the voice note playing. Another UI fix maybe?🤔 Ta 🙂
