As long as you turn on location, the app connects pretty consistently. Buttons don't always function the first time they're pressed, though. I usually have to press turn on/off, then back on/off to get the halos to do what I want. I've also had the color change randomly on me without touching my phone. I find myself getting out of the vehicle each time to make sure the lights actually went on or off.
App doesn't work. Just bought a new Jeep and had these LEDs installed. Downloaded the app, and it doesn't work. I click the "My Device" in the menu, nothing. Does absolutely nothing. So, that means I can't pair the headlights to do anything with them. This app says it was updated last year (2020) but looks like it's from 2018 and hasn't been updated for newer Android versions.
Same issue as everyone else, won't connect! Using Samsung S21 Ultra and tried 2 different Iphones as well, no luck. Uninstalled the app 2 or 3 times on each phone and pulled the fuse on the controller to reset it; as stated in the 'troubleshooting guide'. My Bluetooth on my phone SEE'S the device, but unfortunately you have to use the App to connect. **Update 2-24-22** I stumbled on another app searching for a solution, it's called "Magic-led" which DOES connect to the Bluetooth controller!!
For as much as I spent on the underglow for my car, which are the Oracle underglow lighting ($600.00) their app shouldn't be this crapy to use. Its a 50/50 chance to even get a signal from the transponder in the engine bay. Even the signal range is a little disappointing. I should not have to stand on the hood of my car in order to get a signal. They really need to update this app.
Would rate 5 stars but it has trouble connecting and staying connected to bluetooth. However, there is a super simple fix for this. Just wire in a quick disconnect on the power line before the inline fuse. Anytime you have issues, pop the hood, quick disconnect to reset and you will instantly have control again.
Worked for a long time till recently. Now I cannot connect to my lights on Android. I had to pull the fuses to get my lights to turn off. I cannot use the app since it freezes and does not work nor let's me click on anything. Deleted it and reinstalled and still will not work like it did for the last year I've had it
This was my bday present. Installed the lights very easy. Got the app, it worked for 1 day and now I can't connect to the lights. They show up under my device but have been unable to connect. It's been a week now and I'm fed up! I have uninstalled and re installed, I have reset my light from the control box. For the price that was paid for these lights you would think the app would work! After seeing all the negative reviews I wish my husband would have bought a different brand!
a lot of comments are saying how it doesn't work but ive had it for about a week and its working fine. one issue i had was when i tested it before installing the lights it worked fine then after i installed the lights the controller wasn't even showing up in the app which was confusing but the reason was because when installing i somehow blew the fuse so i just changed the fuse and since then its been working fine. also you have to keep your bluetooth and location on when using the app!
Not staying connected to blue tooth connection need better blue tooth connectivity. Figured out problem for newer Androids you have to turn on your location on your phone as well as the app too. Haven't had any problems since and could use more lightning options if possible only thing really missing. Keith D think this might be your problem though I to have a Galaxy s10+ turn on location on phone and app.
I'm a Dealer for oracle and its embarrassing and frustrating trying to use this app. On my S20+, if I turn off the screen with the app open, the phone refuses turn the screen back on until i plug it into a charger or use the quick access keys to open the camera which lets me access the phone. Also, it won't show me any BC1 modules that haven't already been paired to the phone before. Makes it impossible to test product for customers after I install it.
This is the worst app I've ever used. Constantly freezing. Never know if the lights are off or on unless you are outside the vehicle. Gets stuck and forced to pull the fuse from the kit. With a 2.1 rat8ng, you'd think Oricle would fix the issues. Won't ever buy Oricle products again.
Having problems with the Bluetooth controller hard to make a connection especially if vehicle is mobile. Poor range and always have to have your phone location on for it to work at all.
Would love to see a custom preset mode. But overall the app is fairly easy to use and when I do have connection problems it seems to fix itself after turning the lights on/off. Not exactly perfect but couldn't be more happy with my lights
I've had this app since it 1st came out. Worked awesome. Never had a problem out of until they just updated on May 20th. Now everytime I try to open the app it says app stopped working close app. I've uninstalled it reinstalled it. Restarted my phone etc but everytime it still says app stopped working to close app. Hopefully they get it fixed cause this is actually a great app
Need more color combination options or ability to customize color patterns in fade and strobe. Need a color selector for music driven so only specific colors are shown. Need a custom solid color dashboard with ability to select favorite solid colors. Strobe page could have two sliders, one for time between flashes and another for flash length.
I've had this app for some time now and haven't used the lights in quite some time now, trying to open the app and connect it doesn't do anything go to playstore see if it needs update and nothing. I pop out the fuse plug it in and the lights come on only in red. I have no control of any of it, kinda sucks for the price we pay for these things.
I couldn't get the app the respond what so ever to connect to the 300.00$ kit i bought so long story short the kit is absolutely useless if you can't turn them on period. I even tried 2 other phones i have. I definitely would not have bought them for oracle if I did more research prior. Glad I checked before installing them
Great app, although my Halos default to flashing every time I shut them off and back on. My rock lights always default to the last setting when turned off and back on which is what I like them to do. I would really like the Holliday themes to be add like on the old app
I wish the app would either have a timer for the lights to turn off. Also it always has to be reattached to the Bluetooth constantly. It would be nice to also be able to change the pin.
Consistently won't connect or loses connection to the BC-1 controller. It shouldn't be this hard to maintain a Bluetooth connection to a device 3 ft away. For the price of the devices I expected reliability.
Doesn't work. App stop seeing the device so now the product is useless. And the app stopped seeing the device while it was on, so it got stuck on and I had a dead battery the next day.
For those that have issues with it not connecting like I did. I called oracle and they said to use "Happy Lighting". There app developers are working on a fix for the connection issues but don't know how long it will be. Some work and some don't. USE THE APP "HAPPY LIGHTING"
The app rarely wantsLighting anymore after 4 months installed. Whats the point of spending all this money just to have the app not to work? I tried giving it time but it's just getting worse. It won't even link to my RGBs to turn off now. This app sucks and it makes me regret going through Oracle Lighting for my lighting.
Need to fix this App, so new phones will connect to the device and be able to work. I have a galaxy s10 and it does not work, got my old phone out and it worked fine. Need to update this software.
When it does work it's great but it only works like 20% of the time. So frustrating! Trying to find a different app that will allow me to use the very expensive lights I bought that are just sitting there as this app wont connect
No issues with it. Bought with plug and play headlights and it was a simple install. The range could be better but I can be about 40 ft away and control with app.
Your lighting is now completely useless.. Won't connect to bluetooth...ever. Went through all the troubleshooting for nothing. Glad I didn't pull the wiring on my RF before installing this garbage.
Wish I had seen all this sooner...complete junk. Spent the time installing. Lights come on flashing every color of the rainbow..but absolutely no communication between app & control box. Bluetooth will NOT connect to Galaxy S21+. Sending them back..done buying any Oracle products!
The app doesn't work on my phone. Paid nearly $400 for wheel lights just not to be able to use them. Really disappointed, being such a good brand and having excellent lights.
Cannot use app at all due to when trying to connect to the device in the app it doesn't let me click or work. Everything is working but I cannot connect so therefore I cannot turn off the device or change the colors or anything. Wasted my time installing. They really should fix the app cause it would be fine then. But until then, it is worth buying their Bluetooth controlled devices. Waste of money.
