I understand that newspapers are under extreme duress right now but this app could use a little work. The link from Google News app to the OC Register is currently not working. I imagine that is likely one of the best ways for the OC Register to get new subscribers. BTW, I am currently a subscriber. Hope they fix it quickly. Thanks for listening.

Used to check OC news daily on here, but now there's a paywall and the subscription fees are absolutely ridiculous. It's probably a good idea to lower the absurdly high $174.99 yearly subscription, and the promotion is a complete gimmick: "only $51.99 for the first year!". $14.99 a month for NEWS? What an outdated business model. Enjoy your new&few customer base of only country club kingpins. I would have loved to support at a much more reasonable cost. Goodbye OC REG. (App functions well).

Works alright, I have a Sunday subscription and can log in to this app. Would be great if there was a dark mode setting for reading the news.

Lots of uneducated people here rating their opinion of the paper when you are supposed to rate this app... Which works perfectly on Android version 10. I get all my local news as I want and not a bunch of lies from MSM. The options work better as a subscriber too.

There isn't any current news worth reading and it is very boring, hardly any articles and it just keeps repeating itself

This is my favorite news app for local news. They are mostly neutral on politics and that is difficult to find these days

Clunky, and difficult to navigate compared to the LA Times App.

A total waste of space. Unless I am able to see the entire newspaper, it I of no use to me.

Its a better paper 📃 than New York times. And cares about good News practices not just editorial work.

Pushed notifications are a pain that you can't stop!

It will not start after a fresh installation. No info about why either.

Can't turn off unwanted alerts

Paragraphs are cut off. Gives multi day news rather than today.

App closes often for no reason while reading.

What a joke. Local uselessness. Really needs proper perspective. All these people and businesses. And u get mud. Nothing to read here. Useless . Way over priced news source with nothing. No future here . Give this business to a proper schooled leadership. Lots of schools in CA and we get tp for news here.

Like to support the local paper/news website. Can get a good deal on Groupon for Sunday paper and internet access.

This app can give notifications of major news stories but when the notification is clicked on it opens the website with its limits for views. I have to see ads but still don't get the full content.

This app worked when I first downloaded it, but it doesn't work now. All I get now is that damn spinning circle which seems to mock me every time I try to use this useless app.

This app is way more than just useless. There are many missing articles that are in the paper edition. What's more disturbing is that the Register can now collect data and use it to sway readers opinions (social engineering) based on what you read. If I wanted articles fed to me based upon past stories I read, I would just get my news from Facebook. This app explains why the prices for the paper edition are so much. They want us to use their app. Remember, just because you're paranoid, Doesn't mean they aren't out to get you. Uninstalling.

Don't offer display flexibility. You don't see some stories that are in the print version.
