One of my ORBIT KEY finders calls my phone randomly and non stop. I tryed to restart my phone, remove that Orbit from the app and then to reconnect, to reinstall the app and finally, to take more than half full battery out of the key finder, to wait a bit and return it in, but no difference after all. Just I connect the Orbit, it flashing a blue light and calls my phone. The same Orbit in the same app is functioning absolutely fine. No customer support ph number in your app hence I write here.

After the latest update all of my saved Orbit devices dissapeared. Also, it seems that I cannot add any Orbits with the app!? Great Job with finding problems before the release! Update: Deleting all app data and reloggin in to the account fixed the issue. But still this could have been prevented with a better app update strategy!

(2022/ update, 5☆s. Still and for sure. Great product, great company, I highly recommend. Using for years now. ) Not only is the device amazing, but the customer service may be one of the most exceptional I've ever had to use. It took weeks to fix my issue but they never stopped- even after I had long given up! Now problem is solved and I'll never be without one of these little contraptions! Thank you so much. highly recommend this product and company!!!5☆s!!!

All photos taken with orbit app have very wrong aspect ratio. Also app tells me that without position detect enabled it will not be able to ring my orbit - but if within Bluetooth range that should never be the case!

Finally, with much Support help, I'm able to login to the App. I got the Keyfinder due to its GeoFencing. An alarm will sound when you're out of Bluetooth range, but that could be many feet away. Too bad you're unable to set a range. GPS needs to be on & the App needs to run in the background. All this may kill the battery. Take the battery out of the tracker if you're not going to use it, as it's Always On. Also, if you switch phones, delete the Orbit from the App to save yourself headaches.

Battery optimization is switched off. Now that is out of the way, I've had one instance where I could not find my glasses and the app would not connect until I tried the phone. Next, the glasses lose contact with the phone about 6-8 times a day, even when the phone and glasses are next to each other on the desk. The separation alarm is a great idea, but it's too annoying when you get so many false alarms, and yes, I have extended the timeout period to the max. Now unable to connect at all!

Occasionally a bit erratic in reporting battery level of the Orbit, and occasionally seems to lose contact with it from the app. But most of the time it's fine and has saved the day a number of times for me so I can forgive it the occasional lapse. I regard it as well worth having and, but for those small issues would happily have given it five stars.

Always loses connection with the tracker even when they're sitting on the table next to each other. They won't re-pair unless the app is reopened and I wait for a minute or so for it to rescan. This makes the "find your phone" function completely useless. I've tried setting the app to run in the background, preventing it from being optimised in battery settings... it just doesn't work consistently. Waste of money.

Love Orbit!! This app and actual hardware just works. In todays age where things dont seem to link or connect all the time this app and the simplicity of using it just works. The orbit system is one of the best out there. There is similar items out there but I have never run into an issue with the orbit system. I even turn off all connections for a week at a time turn em all up again and look for the keys and bam. It just works.

The product is faulty. I just bought 3 orbits last week and used the battery it came with, and it is already low on battery! The manual says it should last about 4 months, possibly up to 12 months if kept on stand by. My phone won't ring when I press the button on orbit and I always have Bluetooth on. Very disappointed with this product. The app itself is user friendly, but unfortunately the orbit trackers themselves have failed me.

On my glasses--huge timesaver, but requires bluetooth which runs down battery. Bluetooth must be on and within range or it cannot signal the unit. It can show you on Google Maps the last place it remembers the unit being, but that doesn't help if you misplaced it in your house. You have to walk around until you get within range and the bluetooth reconnects. Can be set to alarm as soon as item gets a set distance away, so could prevent you from losing the item in the first place.

My daughter bought four Orbit devices, but gave them to me, because they refused to connect her phone - a Samsung 9+! Great, I thought. We have two cars, each with two keys. After a lot of hassles, I got them connected to my HTC M9+. I can usually (though not always) get them to ring my phone, but my phone can only rarely ring the Orbits, and it seems completely random which can be rung, even if they are in the same room, and even if they are all reported as 'last seen 1 minute ago'. Sometimes the Find button does not accept a press, sometimes it does, but nothing happens. The app kept trying to update software on the Orbits, but the update always failed - until I tried moving all but one out of range. Eventually got them updated - some went to v1.07, and one to v3.35 (the version is sometimes displayed, but usually not), even though the current version is supposedly 4.something. Seriously buggy product.

I have tiny wire Rx darkglasses made in Italy without which I'm effectively blind, and Orbit looks great with them even though technically frames are too small! 5 stars because it WORKS! However every time I open the app, I have to get rid of the "optimize battery" dialog – a step I did during setup, and the app wouldn't work if I hadn't taken that step. So please, next app release, have an option to remove annoying dialog! Still: 5 stars! Fix the app and I'll look at more Orbit products!

Great to have a divice that makes a sound from wallet or keys, but the idiots who made this app did not consider putting an off button in the app so it just keeps going off over and over. Closing the app does not stop it. The buttons on the devices will pause it from ringing but 5-10 minutes later it keeps going off. Over and Over. Had to replace battery 2x in less than a year. Product is garbage until the UPDATE THE APP with a STOP button!!!!

Love this, especially the range in which I can locate my glasses. Also, very helpful to have the function to ring my glasses when I have forgotten where I last left them. Only been using about a month and a little concerned that it will be able to stay fastened to my glasses though. Otherwise I would have given it a full 5 star rating. The adhesive to the device shows evidence that it is not securely fastened .

The app doesn't work in the background even though I did all the suggestions. To ping a device, I have to open the app wait 5-10mins for orbits to be found and connected, which deems the whole thing unnecessary. Finding the items by classic looking-around way is faster than waiting 10 mins to connect to the devices.

Giving 3 stars because it does not always connect. I must walk around and wait to see if the green circle starts. Also it could flash a light because the blue is not very bright. On the other hand...It has worked several times when I walk around the house and I get 10". Also it's the cutest of all the finders and it comes in hot pink, purple, silver. 1. Needs better connection and range. 2. Must be louder and maybe a light 3. Battery only lasts a few months. I recommend for value and style.

The fact that it is useful is cuz i can search for my keys/mobile vice versa. As long as you have bluetooth switch on, it connects immediately. However, my only gripe about it is the battery that it comes in... says it last about 6 months but the battery is always low for some reason before the 6 month mark... so i changed it to the new battery and it still is low...

The problem of this app is that once card starts to ring it is impossible to stop. There isn't a bottom on the app that stop or even clear instructions.

Kyr. L. Apr 28, 2022

Orbit devices are connected. But even when "within" range cant get them to ring to make it easier for my son to find his keys n wallet. Just useless and a waste of money.

dav. h. Jul 7, 2019

this app is extremely heavy on the phone battery when i leave it running in the background. when it's on i have to charge my phone every 18 hours. when it's off that goes to 32 hours. without it running in the background the device fails to connect to the phone when i try to use it. at least with the previous build it would take a minute to connect. now its useless.

Units not connecting after app update After the recent app update through the play store, neither my orbit O.Keys or O.Card are connecting to the app. When I try to add a new orbit, the app displays “Please connect to the internet to add your orbit”; this is displayed when connected to both WiFi and Mobile data networks. Both units are powered on and are only 2 months old and both connected and operated well prior to the recent software update ~5 days ago. I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling, powering the units off and on (by removing O.Keys battery), resetting units by 10 sec button press and units are not connected by Bluetooth pairing, but through the app. For the app, I have ensured all requested permissions are granted, the app is allowed to run in background and on “unmonitored” list in battery consumption. Orbit units = Keys and Card Orbit App = Version 4.3.4 build 170 Phone = Samsung Galaxy S8 OS = Android 8.0 Country = Australia Any further suggestions to reconnect my app and units? Thanks

Works great. Only negative (which is why I knocked off one star) is that they give you the world's cheapest button batteries with the dongles. Out of the entire pack, only one battery lasted longer than 2 weeks-and it is still working after about 2+ months. Great idea and nice app-just be prepared to replace the batteries relatively quickly.
