Orbit - Playing with Gravity

★ Winner of Google Play Indie Games Festival 2016 ★
ORBIT is a gravity simulator at the heart of a puzzle game. Launch planets with a flick of your finger, and try to get them into stable orbits around black holes.

Can you make enough orbits to progress to the next level?

New: ORBIT now features a Sandbox (premium) where you can create your own levels! Control time, disable collisions, and paint with gravity. Publish your creations to the world for everyone to play.

• 45 free levels, with new mechanics are introduced over time — like repulsive black holes and planets with their own gravity that attract each other
• Play community-created levels — virtually limitless content made by other players, all completely free
• Launch as many planets as you like, and watch the mesmerizing orbital mechanics unfold
• Planets leave colored traces, so that at the end of a level you will have created a beautiful piece of art
• See the future trajectory of a planet before you launch it
• Play in an environment of smooth, minimalist graphics while listening to relaxing classical piano

What a beautiful, relaxing game. It can still use some work, but it's so nice. I do wish there were a way to either move the starting point of an object (planet, etc.) after you start it, other that just releasing it into space. Also, I can't find how you play your own levels in the (paid) sandbox - it always opens in the editor. In all, especially as the UI grows and is further developed, it's wonderful and I expect it'll only get better.

It's a bland response, but the game is fun, especially the sandbox mode. It's most definitely worth a shot, for everyone. The physics are fonamanal. There are so many things you can do with this, you just have to have the motivation to recreate your blank canvas. And the ads, I almost fergot. There arnt very many, unlike those other games with 30 seconds of game play and you get an ad. Overall very good, nice job developer!

This is a fun game, and a well programmed one. It doesn't feel like the usual cash grab unity apps. That being said the controls are frustrating. In a game where moving literally one pixel will drastically change the path taken, the controls are far too sensitive. I wish you could use a second finger to make fine adjustments to where you're aiming.

The game has lovely music and a special simplicity about it that makes you love it. Controls are simple. Touch the screen. The ability to make orbits then shoot down your own planet is the factor I really like. Graphics are simple, white background and an array of colourful planets. Nothing so far in this game needs fixing so I give a 4-5 star. Sandbox is pretty cool, trying out levels where people have spammed black holes. Cool no-internet-needed time waster. If you think the ads are too much (which they're not) just turn off your internet. Like seriously one ad every 5-10 minutes isn't much and the developer needs them if he/she is gonna keep updating the game. Definitely give the game a go.

It's a very fun game to play and it gets your brain working in a new way. My only criticism is that from the start it is very hard to predict where the orbit will sit and is quite challenging at first. If chetan is reading this then can i suggest that it orbits at a more regular pattern and then eases into the difficulty later on. Other than that a wonderful game (especially from a one person team) that I would highly recommended .

I would only call this a "game" in a lose sense, and I mean that as a positive. It's more like playing around with tinker toys or play dough; relaxing, but not mindless, fun. As others have mentioned, levels dont end when you "beat" them; you can continue playing as long as you like. The music is perfect, and the ads are almost non existent. If you are looking for a challenge, this probably isn't my first recommendation. But if you are looking for low-stress fun, give it a download.

I don't think I've ever rated a 5 star before... it's the perfect mix between not too easy and not too difficult. It's also really relaxing and entrancing which I never thought would be something that keeps me coming back. Almost hypnotic. I find myself launching a lot of extra planets after I've completed the mission just to see how many survive and how interesting and complicated I can make the orbit patterns. Seriously earned my only 5 star review.

So it's a great game, I've played the older version a few times, but I think the targeting algorithm is a bit off... whenever I'm trying to make a very precise, low orbit, the guidelines say it should work, but the "planet" jumps off the original course and hits one of the black wholes. Other than this it's a great game :3

So, the game isn't all that. It's pretty and the music is great, but you can always spam launch planets and beat the level. And making an infinite orbit seems impossible. Not what I expected. However, the message from the developer went a long way to sway me to purchase. I hope the care and support continues.

Is it just me, or is this game super boring? The game is about just launching some planets around the black hole, and that's pretty much it. You dont need to think that hard to complete the levels. Launching planets randomly is enough to complete some levels. Sometimes you can complete a level by launching just 2 planets, or you can do it by launching some thousand planets. There is no reward for completing the level in the most efficient way. Uninstalled the game after playing for over a minut

This is one of the best mobile games I have played. It is satisfying to get the bodies to stable orbit and beautiful to watch. The music fits well with the visuals. The only things that I think may improve it would be a zoom control and a way to adjust the sensitivity of planet positioning. There seem to be many options available that will keep game play interesting for a long time.

Great game! One suggestion is to allow the player to change the view scale when in sandbox mode. Being able to view slightly bigger systems would be really neat, especially given the artstyle. Only other tiny nitpick would be to increase the resolution for S8 and other phones to prevent the cut-off on the edge of the screen. Cheers!

This is honestly a wonderous game. The simple elegance the soundtrack gives to the gameplay is phenomenal, let alone the gameplay itself! Please, note, I have not bought the game, as, well, I'm kinda short on funds, you could say. Even without a single purchase, however, this game is beautiful, simple, and fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone. Let alone, its unique how the designer talks to you during the game. It added a hint of personalization in the game that was to die for.

Pure Zen. Orbit's smooth gameplay, and pleasant interface, is the soothing and refreshing recharge I crave during the moments between the moments of a busy day. I love seeing the trajectory paths of the orbs as they sweep past the gravity wells and how the various elements subtly effect each other over time. Also the classical music a perfect touch.

Great game! It helps to realize just how special and hard it is to have a solar system like ours in such a perfect balance. It is the perfect balance of challenging & fun. It's the only game I've ever played that I'm ok with failing a challenge at and redoing it over. I also feel like it would be a difficult game to create with trying to get the gravitational pull between the objects in the game and real life.

I liked it very much, then the quality of games went down and old favorites disappeared. From within the game, the back-arrow doesn't work, you must bail out entirely and come back in to switch games. Still like it. I'll try uninstalling then reinstalling. I'm running it on Android on my year old lg g4 and the junk tablet ATT bundled with it.

I think this is a good app, but I don't see it as a game. It seems to be to me an app that allows us to get experiment with simulated push pull of gravitational force. Completion of levels is very easily done by simple creating slot of dots rapidly in succession. Was able to go through 28 levels in about 5 to 10 minutes without even thinking about how to do anything. Just make dots randomly quickly. No gaming involved.

It is very relaxing but it would be a lot more entertaining if we could see orbitals in 3D And after a while it gives a sense of cosmic indifference. If you've never felt *that* then download the game and try it Other than that, the sound effects are repetitive, they should change the sounds frequency once in a while

Fun while it lasted. It isn't very long, though. Completed it over the course of one afternoon. Unfortunately, rather than seek out fulfilling and stable solutions to the puzzles, the game seems to encourage spamming as many planets as you can until one works. At least, that proved to be the most effective solution to the later puzzles. Shame, but the game is a solid concept and I enjoyed it.

I love screwing around with orbital mechanics and the physics in this game are incredibly realistic, yet simple enough that you dont have to be a rocket scientist to play it. Mostly puzzle, but if it really clicks in your head you can turn it into art or therapy, and for some icing on top this delicious cake, the bg music is peaceful and relaxing.

This is a good gravity sim. Its rare to find one that that includes the effects of gravity between the orbiting bodies as they are affected by the larger well, which this one does. It would probably require more processing resources than are typically available (and make lasting orbits much more difficult for the user to create) to make all of the effects more realistic. This is about as good as can be found for observing gravitational effects on multiple bodies of varying mass.

If you can speed up transition time in between rounds and at start up, it would make this game much better. The lag factor in the waiting and the prompts are painfully slow and can get boring. But the actual play time and launching the planets is really a nice experience.

I really liked the concept, and the gameplay is good, there are a few visible lags though, that i didn't expect for fairly straightforward 2d looking game. Some ui improvements can be done to make the game more attractive and professional, that will really help making this game standout from the crowd. As an individual unity developer, i appreciate your effort in making this game. The game still has a few things to fix in regards to levels also, seems less matured. I can email you my feedbacks.

I simply fell in love with this. I use it for a quick break between stressful moments. The challenge is just big enough to keep it interesting but not so demanding that it would be stressful. You can increase the difficulty anytime by trying more than the game asks you to do. Endless freedom. 😊 Well done, Dev!

Nic. R. Dec 12, 2019

Very nice effects, and when you complete the level you can keep on going, as if you need 3 orbiting planets, once 3 is successful i continue and see if I can get as many as I can before its self destructs. At which time you can take a snap shot and share your achievement..... only wish the lines were darker so your plotting is easier to see.

I didn't think I would like the app, honestly, when I first got it. I thought it was like those other app games that look nice for a while but in 2 days delete off your phone. This is NOT that. It's really fun to play and beat the levels. After every level I appreciate the idea that you can just play with the planets and gravity all by yourself. Overall, I just love the game.
