I have changed my original 1 star to 4 stars. After complaining that I was able to access subscriber content only on the phone used to purchase my subscription via Google, customer service reached out and made my subscription available on all my devices via Google. Thanks for the excellent customer service.

Was really hoping bad reviews were wrong, but this app is nearly nonfunctional. Articles don't load, links are broken, searches don't work. Of the articles that do load, the corresponding photos never load. I searched on the exact title of an article published yesterday, part of a 5-part series. No results. (Using fast wifi and a Galaxy Note8, which is working fine with other apps.) I normally err on the side of keeping an app installed. And I do want to support the Oregonian, if only for the tiny shred of community they still provide. But this app didn't even last 20 minutes on my phone.

Over the years, this app has had bouts of non-functioning. Today my Samsung Galaxy S10+ informed me that the Oregon Live app was unresponsive and consuming great amounts of battery. I checked it and sure enough it was unresponsive. That was the last straw. Uninstalled. I will just read the paper in the morning or look the web version.

A functional app but nothing I would use on a daily basis. The most annoying thing is when I click on an article that shows up in Notifications, the app simply goes to the home page, not the article I want to read, and I can never find it, even after clicking around. What's the point of the notification then?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 Note. I can no longer read the stories on Oregon Live. I have the same problem that others have reported. The Headlines and pictures are fine but the text/narrative portion of the report is unreadable due to black background with dark grey letters that overlap. This have been happening for the last two weeks.

I kinda like the app because of the news, but I dont want the push notifications. I have all the notification settings turned off in the settings and this app still pushes "important" notifications at least 3 times a day. What. The. Hell.

Installed the app because home delivery is very inconsistent. App requires me to restart after every other story. Only thing the app does well is ads. Any site that expects me to spend more time on ads than content isn't worth my time.

Just subscribed, downloaded the app and got an error on sign in to check my connection. The one I just used to download the app. Update: have been told they only support Android 23. The current latest version is 11. Not sure there's hope for this app.

I'm not sure who formats what I can tap on to select what I want to read, but the comic section in particular works poorly, and sometimes the app locks up and I get a black screen.

I'm new to Oregon & signed up for a subscription. Sorry, but this is worse than a free game app. It requests authentication credentials constantly. Quite literally, the freebie paper delivery on Sundays is more reliable. Ugh.

It has all kids of problems, at least on a Samsun s8. Articles will have funky text sometimes, sometimes the body of the article, it freezes, the comments section is terrible - if someone replies to you, you have to click on the notification which takes you to the article, not the comment, then click the comment button which takes you to your comment. However, it won't show the other person's reply to yours. You have to fish through all the comments if you want that.

It still doesn't load correctly. The article is a black background with superimposed print. It's not usable. I even uninstalled it and then installed it again. It didn't help.

This used to work well. Not anymore. Not able to read any stories. Headlines are fine, but tap on it and the text is unreadable.

Wont load and only shows an ad at the top. Horrible. it's been like this for almost 2 weeks and nobody at Oregonlive seems to be fixing it.

When I get breaking news notifications, and click on the notification, all it does is open the app, but it doesn't go to the story in question.

Pictures do not always show, whole articles do not show (some are 1 scentence). Fairly useless. Just use the website. No dark theme.

The app doesn't let me turn off "important notifications". I'm sick of getting notifications for random stories that are by no means important. I am Uninstaller this app because of this idiocy.

Stopped working awhile ago, jumbled text on a black background. Tried reinstalling but didn't fix the problem.

Not a good move. Can't download the app to my Fire tablet and read it on there. It's almost more trouble than it is worth. Not a good move to alienate your long term subscribers. Maybe it's time to admit defeat and go back to what worked.

No real search feature. There should be access to current issue rather than a digest of stories chosen for us.

All of a sudden serious problems with reading content. Black background with jumbled words and text written over other text. Fix this please....I need this app!

On Android, articles with lists never finish. The article just hangs. Seems to happen on most list type articles

no news... I guess could be good news but the app has NO articles or any information. its posting a blank screen with an ad for candy crush at the top.

The latest version of the app is a step backwards. It demands that I log in every time I open the app. It then loads far more slowly than the previous version.

Waste of time. If you don't want to disable your ad-blocker don't even bother with this app or the website.

App works, but I don't see much benefit over going to the website. They really should turn off ads for subscribers.

The app no longer allows a registered user to sign in. It takes your login name and password, but then just spins until you shut diwn the application.

it worked fine on my Samsung Galaxy 7, and works on my wife's iPhone, but on my Pixel 3 I get the OLive logo and an ad, but that's about it.

Cant see latest edition. It's the 22nd of April and the latest i can see is the 14th.??? Even after updating.

I uninstalled the app. It kept freezing and had to keep restarting my phone.
