Organic Chemistry Nomenclature

I have downloaded like a million app for organic chemistry and I can say that this is the most helpful one ! This is the perfect way for anyone to get familiar with structures and names :D the heterocyles part is awesome. . i am totally astonished please add more and more questions .. Thanks a lot

Quick flashcard-like repetition of the functional groups is sticking in my mind much better than any method my professors tried for teaching functional groups. Two things I would like to see added and changed about this though. 1) on correct answers, don't have the next question come up so fast. Sometimes I don't know the correct answer so I guess, and when I guess correctly I don't have time to look at the group and correlate it with it's name. 2) a study option to see groups and their correct names.

I am a chemistry student and found this app very entertaining and simple to understand. I would love to see new content, like naming molecules instead of just identifying functional groups, with a hint option for those who struggle a bit, overall I think this app is heading the right way. Keep it up!

I was looking for something to help me with extra practice naming formulas in my chemistry class. This is not what I was looking for. And whats said in the description is not simple nomenclature stuff (or at least not to me) it seems to describe. You should make one like name these formulas: NaCl- Sodium Chloride. NH4O - Ammonium Hydroxide. Naming polyotomic ions and stuff simple, like that. Idk. This was way too difficult for what I was looking for.

The concept is really good and it really helps me, but sometimes when I look at the statistics page it marks answers wrong that I've gotten right

This is boring app and you can only find chemical groups. Actually you have to know about what chemical group it is.

I like how it repeats and goes over the thing answers you got wrong I just wish it gave you a little longer to look at the answer you got wrong. Other than that I find it very useful

I'd guess it's an American thing but I'm looking for the other form of nomenclature. The app is good and does what it says on the tin.

It is a very nice app. It really helped me bcoz I m little weak in chemistry. It is really awesome.

Hannah, it clearly says ORGANIC chemistry in the title... And this is the basic nomenclature for O-Chem. Don't down rate a good app just because you're in general chemistry.

This app is wonderful for practicing naming and reviewing compounds. It could be slightly better overall but it certainly exceeds expectations for a free app.

I think this app is good but if you choose a particular topic the questions repeat.. there should be more questions and it should have good graphics too to make it more interesting .

Good for rote memorization. I started recognizing structures unconsciously and the more I used it the quicker it became. Great refresher also. Is it prefect? No, it's quite boring but there are worse ways of studying this topic.

This app has really helped me, especially to remember the structure of compounds like toluene, phenyl etc. The questions are very standard questions. Thank you team. Please do add more questions and structures.

It's only a quiz but v can't learn basics nd it's occurence

It is so hard to train your mind to remember the foundation of Organic Chemistry and many students struggle with that. Apps like this make it much easier.

I love how quick it is and the variety that is available. I would like it more if it showed us how many we got right vs how many we get wrong or something like that and perhaps or progress?
