Signed up to origin partially because I would be able to get bill estimates and now they've taken that function away. Had a fair bit of trouble with billing also, seems to have been fixed now but getting a quarterly bill for over 4k is a bit stressful!!
Was a good app, The app is now broken hasnt worked in a month, i cant see a bill i should have reveived and i cant see the cost of my usage for anything more than a day. If you click on monthly it actualy misrepresents what i would own by excluding the data, There is no longer access to download the raw data so that i can work it out for myself. There is a note saying sorry and to keep checking but its been there for weeks
It doesn't show estimated usage for the current quarter anymore. That was the only reason I use the app. The previous usage graphs are super glitchy. Highlights different quarter names than what you select and flickers.
Guys, fix your app. It's not showing any usage data, just a blank screen, same for the website as well. That issue exists for a month already, can't believe it isn't fixed yet. Tried clearing cache already, still not working. Fresh install not working either.
I have need to manage the billing for 2 address, but the app can only show the details for one address at a time. Currently it depends on luck for which address detail i can see, and it doesn't allow you to switch between the address. Regret putting the two address under the same account.
UPDATE: The app looks great, and I'm glad my previous concern about naming of the app has been addressed. Why not five stars? Because the app has FAQ that talks of being able to see actual usage in 1-2 days (because I have solar) BUT I cannot see anywhere I can see usage apart from the quarterly usage. If daily usage is available in the app, it's not obvious (I can't find it for any of my four accounts - two gas, two electricity)
What happened to the previous version? You ruined it. Why change something when it works perfectly fine? Why did you removed the gas meter read feature, to check how much you bill would be? Why can't I see the up to date billing estimated for my electricity account? Please reverse your update, to the previous edition of this app. Hopefully someone reads this review, because you have done a terrible job ORIGIN.
What a useless app was working fine till origin decided to upgrade their system and I lost all my usage data.Now it won't even let me login,have deleted and reinstalled app still can't login. About time to jump ship I think?
cannot open usage, keeps saying try again later, been trying for weeks now, very disappointed Update. No reply to email, been waiting for nearly 3 years. Have uninstaller, reinstalled numerous times. Still rubbish. Can't see if my gas has been changed over, can't open hourly usage, can't open monthly usage. Waste of time
A once terrific app, but now does not give up to date usage or upcoming bill estimates. Certainly not anywhere as good as it was. Falls short of expectations.
Really liking I can now see my internet as well as electricity plan in the app. All the info I need at my fingertips, I find it very useful. Thanks.
Easy to pay my power bill using the mobile phone app. No need to jump in the car, drive to the post office and pay it over the counter anymore or ring up and pay over the phone. This is a breeze 😉
Used to get estimated cost by entering your own reading. Now no longer available. The only useful feature of the app disappeared. Bring back the old version plz.
my smart meter is now useless as usage is not visible in the app. according to other review comments origin has "technical issues" on their side and is going to take months to fix.
Each. Time. Origin cust service and I have talked they have been very. Quick and sorted out what I was calling about I’ve had many calls to change power companies but I won’t leave origin as I trust them and don’t want my energy in the hands of companies I know nothing about friendly customer service
My gas bill isn't visible, and my electricity and hot water bills are on seperate tabs and I had to set up direct debit separately for them. It is very confusing to have to switch between them all the time and it just has my address at the top of the page so I am not sure what bill I will be looking at. Also it keeps asking me to set up direct debit even though I already have, did it not work, will my bill actually be direct debited? Who knows??
The app is intuitive and useful, and payments are verified quickly. Well done.
The latest update is a really poorly developed app, would keep the prior version... Well done Origin, did you do any research or test on the latest version?
App was great, could see daily usage, costs etc. Since updating it won't even log in.
customer needs to be able to adjust easy payment plan payments, without having to cancel and set up again. Electricity supplier adjusts amount debited but bill falls short at end of billing cycle.
Was a good app. But now for some reason I can't swap between my electricity and gas accounts. Has app been updated and changed?
Started off brilliantly. I knew where I was on a daily basis as far as usage and cost. Suddenly without warning my usage data disappeared. This quarter have no info re costs at all. I have contacted Origin several times, the last response I received said they were having technical difficulties which could take up to 3 months (my next bill) to fix. Very disappointed.
Great features and easy to navigate. Would be great if gas showed real time usage. Perhaps self-entering data into a calculator type function could be available. I could then input the reading manually to get an updated usage reading/costing. I like that my pre- payments show against my predicted costings. Helps plan for when the bill arrives and no shock from an unexpectedly high bill.
App was great to start off with but is now no longer working and appears to be trying to load.
Making life soooo much easier. Easy to understand and by far best rates in Sydney.
The app is good. Appears to be reasonably bug free and does what it's advertised to do when given the opportunity. Unfortunately, it is only be as good as the data the vendor provides. And there's the problem. Periodically, all the associated usage data disappearance rendering the purpose of app totally useless.
It takes forever to get into the app. And also when I was in credit in my Origin accounts I used to be able to transfer that credit to my bank myself. I've told Origin 3 times about not being able to transfer and each time they say will look into it and fix it. Annoying cos obviously it has not been fixed.
Useless app, useless company. I've had nothing but issues from day 1, which started with me not showering for 4 days in the middle of winter while heavily pregnant because the idiots couldn't understand "I don't have hot water" while going through the agony of signing up for gas. Now the app just shows blank screens, no info which is stressful as I know my bill is coming up next month and it'd be bloody helpful to see the estimate. I see others say this issue has gone on for a month? Pathetic.
