This app used to work well but for the last few months it's been freezing up, just spins, or you get an error message something like we are experiencing technical difficulties and to check back later. Once it starts spinning there's no backing out of the app, so you never know whether or not you're really logged out or not. I see responses from ORNL suggesting to reinstall the app. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times and it didn't help. Very frustrating.

The menu is alot harder to use now, the old version was much better. Instead of showing my payment amount and due date on my loans I have to click through menus. Then I have to remember the exact amount and click through MORE menus to make the payment, would be easier if you just added my loans to bill pay or something but still showed the payment and date on the main screen. I prefer the old look but let's be honest I'm not opening my banking app because it looks cool, could be plain white and it's not going to make a difference. Thumbprint log in isn't working, but I actually know my banking password so not a big deal.

This app is great for the most part, but the mobile check deposit feature could be improved by removing the feature that automatically takes a photo as soon as it detects the check. I always end up having to retake the picture multiple times. Also after taking the picture, add a feature so we can click on the thumbnail of the photo to make sure it isn't blurry.

This app is so much more primitive than the old app. I can't even check a hold list to see what has not cleared yet. I would like to see after each entry in checking account balance. The old app would show on the first page who the transaction was with and now I have to go to the second page to find out. The graphics on the old one was better and this one has none.

Terrible. Painfully Slow. Unreliable. Why does it take 3 minutes to log in? I have to tap to keep my screen awake several times, because if you don't it won't log you in. And when I do, I just get error messages. I have had to delay payments sure to this, and it's been this terrible for more than a year. They have my money but I cannot pay bills today due to their issues. Now I feel like I need to look for another bank.

The new app update is horrible. The old app was so much better and had better options. This one is plain and doesn't give as much info or versatility as the old one. I have more than 1 account and instead of having a drop down with the accounts in it, I have to enter it in everytime now. Makes it a pain when you run a business and need to move money quick.

Good app for a great bank! Security can be a pain (your online banking account gets frozen after 2 incorrect login attempts), but they make up for it with great customer service. I love this bank! I've been with them over 15 years and they have grown and progressed so much! I live in a different city and its nice to be able to deposit checks from out of town... Whenever I have issues, they're always willing to help resolve them.

Hit or miss app. As we speak, it's freezing up on the last screen for mobile check deposit. Tried live chat and can't scroll down on my phone, so that's useless. Guess I'll try again later or drive 45 minutes to the nearest branch tomorrow. Sometimes it works great, despite being outdated, sometimes it barely works at all. Bank itself it wonderful, they just need a new app.

Updated last night. Removed app from home screen. Was able to log in, however new version looks as if they hired a 7 year old to design it. Tuned on quick balance feature yet it's not on home screen. Not sure I'm comfortable with them handling my money when such a poor decision was made to launch this new version. They would be better off scrapping this app and investing a little time in the previous version. I'm extremely unhappy with this new version. 0 stars

I've tried unsuccessfully now for a week to sign in to the app. It gives me a "we are experiencing technical issues" response each time. What's up with that??! I've never had issues with this app in the past for more than 24 hrs. A week is a little excessive when you depend on the app to keep up with your banking needs!

I tried 3 times to register my device, but each time it said I entered the code incorrectly. I entered the code exactly as it was sent all 3 times. Since I can't use the app, I tried to close it and it crashed. I was able to uninstall it a few minutes later. Please don't ask that I contact someone for assistance, as this defeats the purpose of an app that is intended to make things easier. This app is unlikely to make anything easier for anyone.

This is THE WORST mobile banking system in existence!! I wish I could give it a half star. They have technical difficulties an average of 1-4 times a month!! Lasting for days sometimes. There is no number to call to find out what's in your account which I don't even think is legal! And if you want to view your account by desktop you have to change your damn password!! Over and over!! Worst banking system in existence!!

I can no longer search for transactions, it says "No transaction available" New app is much worse than the old one. The UI is messy, and your "simplified menu" is a joke. A one step process before, now takes four. It's like you're trying too hard to make it modern. Why fix something that wasn't broken? New motto? "If it ain't broke, fix it till it is." Based on all the 1☆ reviews you obviously don't care about your members anymore. I will be coming back to Tennessee just to close my account.

I generally do not leave bad reviews; as negativity is not productive, however... The January 2019 revised ORNL FCU app is AWFUL! It constantly crashes during the SIMPLEST of tasks-- attempting to merely ACCESS the Transfer Menu; and forget about trying a remote deposit-- the app freaks right out; is not as user friendly as the previous app; does not show the running balance; etc. Please BURY it.

Tried using the app on a S22 Ultra and when I go to enroll I am told that my credentials are invalid and the app is experiencing technical difficulties. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times and made sure permissions are on. Sadly this seems to be a theme with ORNLFCU as their app hasn't worked proper on my previous Note8, Z Flip 3 and now not on my S22 Ultra.

this app is horrible, doesn't work most of the time. Now when I try to just log in on the website, I have to have a code, every single time. Even though I check the box to "remember me on this device" They need a whole new internet makeover!

Would love to update to the 1/29/19 version and see if it's as awful as I've read but the current version already has too much access and I can think of absolutely no reason why the ORNL app should need access to my contacts list. Won't be updating until this permission isn't required, even if it means I lose use of the app.

1) By default, only the transactions within the current month are shown. It is possible to change the date range, but this functionality is in the "Advanced Search" submenu. 2) It is not clear how to transfer money to another ORNL member unless "Pay a Person" is used. 3) It is not clear how to make a recurring transfer using the app.

This app has not allowed me to login for a week straight. I've had no problems with it before this one, but now anytime I try to login it just says "we're facing technical issues right now." 2 days after the login started failing, I changed my password and logged in just fine on a web browser. Please update your app to match the recent changes to your online system.

I'd like to know where they think that this is a simplified menu you now have to click so many buttons to get into make a loan payment, you also have to go back to know the exact amount which is not showing up on my screen now. thank you for making me now have to go back to my web browser to use my online banking. the app used to be a simple One Touch and was easy to use in the middle of a store when having to check your bank account no longer is this the case

App runs great and works almost 💯 of the time (maintenance mainly and even still is usually done in the early hours of the morning before sun up). You can transfer funds between accounts easily, setup autopay, pay existing loans and manage them, and even apply for a line of credit through the app. Very well done and easy to use!

I am only allowed to access app/website from my home. I have changed settings on phone, on app & on system..still will not load until on home wifi & YES I tried laptop (with regular then also adjusted) with wifi off and desktop version for phone...still will not work! 🤔I have to call to transfer money if I am out. luckily, ya'll have some awesome customer service agents who help quickly, politely and always fix the issue/need. As far as the app? no one can tell me how to fix it. :(

There is a fingerprint login, it asks you at the beginning. I have had no issues transferring money between accounts. The layout is a bit different, but works basically the same as the other one. I find it a bit more user friendly.

This is one of the worst banking apps I've ever had the displeasure to use. I am very limited to what I can do and that's if I can get on the app. So far this app only serves to check my account balance, anything else is a phone call or trip to the bank. Great bank horrible app.

When taking pictures for check deposit, the app automatically takes the pictures when it thinks the check is properly framed. Most of the time its blurry or out of focus making it so it has to re-take a dozen pictures. Just add a freaking manual picture button and do away with the dumb auto picture thing.

When on a secure wi-fi at home and I try to make a payment or tranfer funds, it has stated many times that I am not on a secure network which results in the payment/tranfer not being made and I have to go on my computer instead to do the transaction. Sometimes there isnt a problem but its frustrating not knowing if it works or not. If I always had access to a computer it wouldn't be as frustrating but I don't.
