Not sure why others find this so hard - it is actually super simple! We got the Creative Genius set for the Amazon Fire Tablet and my 5 year old loves it all: Monster, Masterpiece, Words, Detective. Newton is a little challenging but he will grow with it. All easy to download and easy to set up. So glad we discovered this, especially now they are back to virtual school for the next month or so.
This app is so helpful! It shows all the analytics I want so I can easily follow the games played.
pathetic!!! waste of money!!!can even login, it's been 2 days & my email hasn't been verified yet!!
It's really missing insights to their newest games, and once the new year passes you can't see any previous activity
It's nice that I can see what they were working on. The store only shows ipad options and we have a fire. It would be nice if the store showed what add ons we can get to play different games and not repeats of what we already have too. I also wish it was easier to figure out what games we can play with the items we have.
I can not review the media/pictures my daughter created. It seems like everything else works correctly. It's just that reviewing her work of art was the main reason I downloaded the app and it's exactly what I can not do. Please fix. On a positive note, my daughter absolutely loves her Osmo.
Seems like great gift for kids however the set up is frustrating, annoying, you have to swit3cg back and forth between registering through one website, then again on parental app, half the stuff doesnt work. Each game the genius set come with you have to download and load the game onto the app, which btw if you have android NONE of the games actually exist to download. Spent 3hrs trying to figure out how this stupid system works and still no luck! Returning back to store tomorow. What a waste
The app does not sync with my child's progress. It indicates that she has played recently but does not show any stats. This app is basically worthless since it does not sync.
Application fails to load. It's able to send push notifications, however when the application is launched or one of those push notifications is tapped, you're greeted with a hanging "Osmo" splash screen.
We've been using Osmo for about two weeks and not one stat has been recorded. A completely useless app that seems to have only been designed to use up my data and time.
Horrible parental app. The actual game is enjoyable and my daughter likes it, especially stories. But the app for the parents NEVER works. The app appears to have important information that would be great to read if it was not frozen every single time i open it.
The set up is unclear and frustrating. The compatible devices should be stressed up front in the advertising. Still not sure if my issue is a compatibility issue or something else.
Does not load on Pixel phone. Notifications appear, you click it and then the app tries to load but never gets past the initial OSMO screen. Same as other users have reported. Sad.
I couldn't play osmo just because I didn't have a iPad or a fire this is a waste of money for Samsung users
Sometimes the progress is not shown but overall the app is excellent
I was able to get this to work on my Android by closing all my windows and clearing all notifications that were on main page, then opening up osmo. Cool stats when I was finally able to get it to open : ]
Slow as anything and you need very specific hardware to do anything with it. Does not work with anything besides iPads, even though you can get the software for other systems.
What a disappointment! We received a starter kit and with the kids' excitement opened it to set up - not only is it not compatible with android(despite an android app in play store) - they have next level up-selling. We are all bummed.
My kids have been playing most of the day and nothing is showing under their profiles.
I just bought this for my son, am setting it up with him and realize we have the wrong reflector for our Fire tablet. Although, I had purchased the one for Fire tablets!
because is very funny.
So far not good. It keeps having me put in a code and I do then it says camera won't except allow camera I do that still can't play. Very disappointing
I would like it if I could actually see the image of the picture/letter my child created. That way I can see if she's improving. It would also be nice to have a month by month or week by week compare to see the progress.
great educational games my kids love it!
March 29th 2020: Does not load on Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Notifications appear, you click it and then the app tries to load but never gets past the initial OSMO screen. May 26th 2020: still doesn't work...
I receive push notifications for the app but when I try to open it to see details, the app does not progress beyond the Osmo opening screen. It remains frozen.
The games are great but the set up is horrible and unintuitive. This is by far the most frustrating and infuriating set up for parents.
Edit: added 2 stars once I was able to get all the apps added to the dashboard. Would still like someway to add relevant content like the weeks spelling list from school. Not very helpful so far. I'm not sure it's worth the space it takes up. Seems like knowing the actual words my kid spelled or even being able to add specific words that are on his spelling list would make it more helpful.
