Doesn't record what you have watched on your phone to your videos watched on computer. Does not override the timeout on phone. So you have to change the timeout interval when you want to watch as osMosis. If you don't, it will time out and turn off the video as often as your lock screen turns off. Makes watching things hands free virtually impossible. Content is quite good. App is trash
The app used to be great and I used quizzes all the time. With the new app there is no way to access specialty specific quizzes (eg. all of paeds or gynae), you can only access small quizzes by selecting a video and looking at related questions. The new app is awful and I wish I could go back to the old one. I would cancel my subscription if I could because I am so annoyed by this update.
The new update is annoying every time you pause the video to jot anything down, the video automatically restarts from the beginning. The app puts itself in landscape mode despite the auto rotate feature being disabled in the device settings. This is tiresome for when you want to watch in portrait view whilst lying down since it automatically shifts to landscape. The screen also locks whilst a video is playing, thus you have to tap the screen every now and then to prevent it from timing out.
Was alright, but latest version is a long way short of expectations. Videos still okay. Flashcards only show up sometimes. When they do show up they sometimes show the answer before they're meant to. Clinical questions don't show images that come with the question so you end up with questions impossible to answer.
The app's UI is really bad. It cannot be viewed in the full screen mode. There's no way to remove the notification bar in the full screen mode. Lags multiple times even in a phone like Oneplus 7 pro with 12 GB RAM. Edit : While opening the app it crashes automatically, can't open from the latest update.
Do not download the app and don't purchase a licence till they fix this absolute mess. The content is amazing, I've been a long time user. Joining with Elsevier and this app is an absolute joke. I can't sign in, your log in code entry doesn't work and people tell me you've removed the clinical questions from the app. It's a shame that whoever developed your app stuffed it up so much. Unless this is fixed asap you've lost my subscription.
I love Osmosis, and I love the idea if an app so much that I'm giving it 2 stars, but I can't log into my account on the app. Specifically, my problem happens when putting in the verification code to log in. The app sends a verification code to the email associated with your account (makes sense), but when I go to type in the code, the app refuses to accept input. I can't type input or copy/paste it from email. Once Osmosis fixes this, I'm sure this app will be great.
Great app but not the best experience on tablets. Needs support for landscape mode and I would love a picture-in-picture feature to allow easier note taking on other apps while watching videos.
I liked the older version better,the recent update is different and seems difficult to use, the app crashes and also it is difficult to find the flashcards feature and other features The app is getting slower and slower day by day.
The old was great as you could access flashcards and quizzes easily!! Now the new app only shows the videos which renders the app almost pointless! Please fix this ASAP as I can no longer do practice exam questions on the go
Very buggy:( The application lags nonstop. It's a really nice app though by any chance could you maybe lower the price for subscription so it's much fit for students? Still kinda on the expensive side. But overall, good app.
This app needs a lot of improvement. It crashes a lot. Browsing videos is difficult. Most of the features don't work. Please improve the app. The content is superb. 3 stars only for the content.
Please the app is now useless for non prime users, and the money to pay per month is too much just to learn, you can't even watch a single video now because they are now all for prime users plus the app is slow to use and still demands a lot of money, please if you want people to truly enjoy the app reduce the price drastically so that a lot of people would be able to afford or remove the price and let it be free for everyone, we just want to learn more and it's costing this much.
Limited features. Can't add videos to playlists created on website. Can't look at other study materials like notes. Video player kinda funky. The download function doesnt work. POS app.
Best App. Makes everything easy to understand as well as Fun. I used to feel so stress with big books but the notes made by Osmosis is perfect:)
5 stars for content. 1 star for app, it doesnt work, very slow and crashes frequently. I wish they made their application better.
After updating the app, it logged me out. So, when I try to log in again and put in my E-mail, it doesn't let me open my keyboard to write the verification code that was sent to me by email.
The app is being struck for few min even though there is good internet connection... Otherwise, the app is a great platform for learning difficult topics in an easy manner
Good content but still disappointed as the features in the app itself are inaccessible plz fix them can't properly download and play videos...waiting for an update.
Very terrible app. How long is it gonna take you guys to fix this app ? I regretted updating the app. The last version was far more better and not this plagued with every possible glitch.
Your useful actually, but you spend a lot of money in ads but cant fix glitches in your app! Why my downloaded aren't vissible in saved folder?

Was a great app but it looks like they removed functionality like viewing your study schedule! Why would they take that off!

I love Osmosis - I use it both for a fast orientation in a topic and also for details. But. The app really annoys me. It doesn't keep the screen on when the video is playing! So I need to keep tapping the screen to keep the screen on. And that is really distracting. To note, when I play videos in other applications, they maintain my screen on all the length of the video.
Missing a lot of features, but more importantly, it doesn't always work. Lately the flashcards haven't been loading so now I'm only using it for the occasion video. Makes it impossible to do cards on the go because I'm not going to pull out my laptop on a commute. Messaged support about this bug and they are great at acknowledging your comments but they don't seem to act very fast because it's been 2 weeks and this bug is still present! Honestly, flashcards are the main feature for me too :(
I love Osmosis. The service you provide is amazing. But unfortunately, the app is trash. I can't even open it. As soon as I get to the "choose your school" screen it crashes and the screen goes blank. This is only quite recent since I got my new phone, but before (on my old phone) when I was still able to open it, it wasn't very usable to be honest either.
I got the app on my iPad and downloaded a few of videos offline, because I was going somewhere without wifi. The next day I tried to watch the videos. My downloads page was full of the videos I downloaded. I clicked to watch a video, watched 2 mins after which froze saying there was no internet connection, followed by the whole app freezing. I restarted the app, the downloads page was empty. Samething happened when I tried again. So it is basically a pointless app to use without wifi.
Lost ability to do questions and access to my study schedule in the updated app. This new app looks great but functionality is terrible. You have taken away access to features mentioned earlier, and instead I only have the ability to watch videos. The one issue I had with the previous version of the app was that when videos were playing the phone screen would lock and this hasn't been fixed. This was not a good upgrade and I wish I could roll back the app.
