So far so good. I installed the app, opened it, connected my scope, and experimented briefly with their operation together. All features appear to work: Brightness, Rotation, Pics, Video. Pics & videos were stored in their own album. I have not tried to transfer them elsewhere on or off of my device. No ads so far. I closed the app and removed the camera. I have not been prompted for a review. This one is voluntary. I will edit this review to reflect future experience if it differs.
Android 11 on a SGS 20 FE. The app views live and takes photos fine, but videos are a green garbled mess. Would also be nice to have a way to take the photo one-handed easily, like using a volume button, since you're usually holding the phone in one hand and maneuvering the camera with the other, and stretching your thumb to the shutter button on-screen is not convenient.
This app works with my Pixel 2XL running Android 10. The manufacturer's prescribed app ("Endoscope Camera") crashes immediately after the splash screen; many alternative apps were loaded with ads. So it was a pleasure to find that this works -- and that it works without ads. I granted the storage permission and that was sufficient to capture pictures. Haven't tried videos yet. The real-time display of the camera was my key interest in order to utilize this as a bore-scope.
The app works great and opens automatically when I connect my borescope. However it loses 2 stars because it doesn't have an option to keep the screen on. My phone screen keeps turning off while I'm still using the app. The only way to make it stop is to repeatedly tap on the screen so it doesn't time out.
Tried it out, worked flawlessly with a cheap alibaba endoscope on Android 10 lineageos. Endoscope came which instructions to use the USB Camera app (reviews say it has ads, didn't try it), but this works to view, take pictures, record video. Can rotate the view 90' (does not do small angles and does not automatically rotate with movement) and adjust brightness (only affects view / pictures, does not change physical LED brightness).
This app has not been updated since 2017. But, to my surprise, it is one of the few apps that works with my LG V40 ThinQ with Android 10.0. The pictures quality is good and it takes stills & videos. The only negative is the size of the view screen. It only fills about ½ the of my phone's screen.
5 stars for an app that works with no advertising. Connected to my scope straight away. Would like more functionality to the app such as flipping the image, however, for a free app you can't really complain. Screen can be rotated unlike other apps, so a larger view screen can be seen.
works on my old droid maxx, but wont work on Google pixel2. also noticed you can't plug it into the computer to charge and use your cellphone to view the pic. The picture shuts down as soon as it is plugged into the usb port on the computer. Hopefully there are updates coming to work with newer phones.
Tested version 1.01.013 of this app on my Pixel 4 phone connected to an Anykit endoscope, and the app works well. This app seems to be the only endoscope camera app that functions properly (I tested all of the top listed apps and they were simple advertising apps posing as camera apps). My hope for the next version of this app is that it does not cause the camera/phone to sleep as currently happens; my work around is to simply keep one finger on my phone screen to keep the app from sleeping.
It actually works, I tried 5 or 6 others and none of them worked and they were all bogged down with apps. They'd close while trying to open the camera. This app actually opens, let's you use your camera, and gets you where you want to be seeing with your endoscopic camera.
I bought an endoscope to attach to my OnePlus 7 handset and tried many different apps to try and get this working without any success until I installed this one. Worked like a charm from the outset, simple and easy to use, thank you Devs, I didn't find the ring I was looking for down the drain but the fact that I found a working app has made my day :-)
Finally was able to find an application that would work on my endocscope ,after having tried so many apps. Although there are not too many adjustments to make the video clearer still would consider it a good apps.
I bought an Object endoscope from Eurocarparts and this app works perfectly with it. No adverts. Some of the other apps I looked at had extremely dubious reviews as well as complaints of adverts that affected ability to use the app! This one is great Try this one.
The app works when conditions are perfect. However there are no settings, and if for any reason the attached device is unplugged, even for a second, the app closes itself. This has made using it very difficult, almost useless.
Three stars for not launching with adverts, even if the app doesn't obtain pictures from my USB cam. Perhaps list what phone / cam combos you have tested, and offer in app submit debug so you can determine what causes the app to work on some camera phone combos and not others.
Finally an app that works. So far no intrusive or interrupting adds. Starts working when camera's attached. Tried many, many disappointing apps and switched phones over a year. Great job developers.
Works fine on a new Galaxy S20 FE with the latest software release (t-mob). I'm with the other positive reviews - it's simple and ad free and exactly perfect for an inexpensive endoscope. I plug in the camera and the app fires right up.
FINALLY!!! A program that will actually save the pictures to my device. I tried at least 25 programs before stumbling upon this one. If you have a USB endoscope download this now. It works better than the programs suggested by my endoscope manufacturer. Very happy with this program!
Worked seconds after install. Yea! Plus, when you plug in camera, App's dialog box opens on cue .. no hunting for app. Went through many apps on play store. Many "stopped". Ya gotta figure "hoser" code blocked by Android security?
The camera was inexpensive and did what it was suppose too. The usb app was plenty acceptable for the use that I needed to for.. Being able to see 15 ft into the ground and the convenience of watching it on phone...
Works fine... I have a s20 phone and the screen goes dim and shuts off after 20±seconds. Not sure why the programming of this app didn't compensate for this. It's annoying...
It works! There are so many garbage USB camera/endoscope apps out there (most of which just show you adds), but this one only asks for permissions that make sense and then actually works!
This app does what it says. Bought a very inexpensive boroscope camera with HD resolution. Was up and running in seconds. Other apps I tried did not perform at all. I recommend this app for easy connection.
I go through alot of cellphones and this has been the only app that has worked on every phone so far.i was looking for escape Gecko , bugs rodents or see if dust gets in your car stereo. its very good
Tried lots of apps. All were absolutely rubbish, even those with 4,5 stars. All had tons of advertising and crashed every time. This one worked straight away with no adds. The only reason I have done 3 stars, is because it won't take a picture or record, but I'm only using this to view, so no need to record or take a picture. Has the added option of rotating the screen through 90 degrees. If you just want to view with no fuss, use this app.
