What a horrible application. No search functionality. Click on the "Feesback" link and it will send your comments and questions to an email address than doesn't exist. Extremely disappointed.
it is a daily paper. I like to see just today's news. can't find the comics. The SECTIONS button does not work all the time. if I have a paid digital subscription why do I get ads?
Subscriber login doesn't exist. So why did I pay when I can view everything without a subscription? And wouldn't a subscriber be able to bypass most ads? Please improve this app.
This app would have scored 5 stars if not for their "bright idea" to post totally unrelated news videoclips above each article. Confusing, annoying, distracting...

Loud volume ads 🤬 Hate the invasive ads when opening the app up.

Update April2021, has not loaded content for days. Removed and reinstalled and still won't load anything.
Also has video ads that auto-play at full volume.
Current news had not been posted, everything is 12 days old.
Over the past few weeks this app has only shown local news or "OC Now". Every attempt to switch to national news or another tab results in a notice of "data unavailable" please rectify this.
Getting worse. So UNRELIABLE This app is awful. I have to reinstall every month or it reads connection error - data unavailable. The oc now section is mostly sports. And the national news is disproportionately B.C. and Vancouver.
Not bad. Must be a new version. Works perfectly on my Android BlackBerry.

Im a Canadian by birth.im homesick so i saw the newspaper my grandparents always read, they loved it.so i downloaded it.
The new version is very good. I like the layout and new navigation features. Great job.
Overall the redesign is a great improvement. But why is the sharing menu limited to either emailing or using Twitter to share a story? It should use the default Android menu for sharing that all other apps use.
Only been using it for the past hour but so far its a great improvement
Keeps you up to date with city's events not too many annoying push notifications previous versiin took some time to load but all in all good app
This paper sold its entire front page to a single party the day before the election. The ad was disguised to not look like an ad but instead look like a warning from elections Canada. Do you care if the app is any good when you know they have so little regard for their job as journalists
It is great to get access to Ottawa news when living outside Ottawa. Would be great, though, if The Citizen would also have a BB10 app available to download as well.
But what really annoys me is the lack of landscape support. Especially as the Ads seem to support landscape oddly!
Worked great for years. Now, all of a sudden, a video ad shows up when you open the app. The ad is without warning and loud, making the app useless in a quiet environment.
