OU Anywhere

What's the point of this? I can access the materials on the online pages easily. I want an app that gives notifications and shows you the student planner for a week on week reminder of what you should be working on with links to the articles etc. It should link to the various forums and have the ability to browse the library. This one is half assed.

Would have given ZERO stars if I could have because I've no idea if it's any good. Won't let me sign in, just keeps telling me there's a connection problem and to check my Internet connection (my connection is fine). Rather worrying being as it's a University app. Makes one wonder what the tuition will be like if they can't even get their app working. I'm doing a computing degree and now I'm dubious about the quality of their computer dept.....

No Frills but not as bad as some reviewers suggest. I can easily download module resources and read them through a third party app. Unlike those complaining about not having native reader support, I much prefer the flexibility to choose which to use.

To those who complain that the app does not read your books: it downloads the course materials in one neat package onto your phone, but YOU NEED A SEPARATE READER for pdf/epub etc. Download any reader from Google Play and viola! Hence, not the apps fault. The app also gives you access to study planners, module websites, module discussion forums etc. A decent app, useful when away from the laptop; all in one handy place.

Having used an older version last year, I had hoped to be able to use it again. However, I can't even get it to install. After multiple installs/uninstalls and restarts of my device, it STILL won't allow me to agree to the terms. It DOES, however, allow me to disagree. Useless for me.

Same as the other reviews. It's a pointless app, only allowing you to download the module books, before being unable to open them. I just want an app that replicates the module pages for each active module I am studying.

I don't know what's going on but I cannot get past the t&cs page, I press "I agree" after typing in my log in details, the app closes down. I press "I disagree" it happily takes me back to the sign in page, I type my details in correctly shows me the "by using the OU anywhere app...", I press "I agree", the app closes out. What is going on?!?

Can't access the materials at all despite having a pdf reader app, so always have to go online to access the materials, which is annoying as I'm always out and about this would be so much easier but it's not.

Brilliant for study on the move. Easy to use for those who couldnt log in it had a glitch with passwords containing certain characters that has now been fixed. Really give it a go it's worth a go

Does what it says. But note that it doesn't support email sign-in (it does state that in several places though). You also need third-party PDF/EPUB readers (again, this is stated).

Needed to get access to my textbook in a pinch while babysitting and the app has let me down as I can't actually open the file I have downloaded. Absolute rubbish, what did you do to the app? It was good last year! Looks like I'm going to have to try and get to the webpage on my phone and dl the pdf.

Just use your browser app. Really hard to use and has limited features. The old student home app wasn't perfect but it was 10000% better than this one. Can we make the old one available again please???

I've just updated the app, and now when I try to log in, I don't get any further than the agree/disagree to terms and conditions page. The "agree" button doesn't work. Please fix this ASAP.

Couldn't log in at first. When the app stopped freezing at last, I couldn't open any of the files. Very disappointing.

Keeps freezing whenever I open it on Android. Once I get onto the module site it won't open anything to read or to download for offline use, so is pretty pointless in all honesty. Hasn't helped me access OU material, better of going through the student home website

I've had no issues using this app for read-only module that I completed. I have yet to use it for upcoming module, so if my experience changes, then I'll update my review but so far so good! p.s I'm using android Samsung galaxy tablet and Samsung galaxy phone to access this app.

DOWNLOAD AN E-BOOK READER. This app is pretty handy. Very good idea. For people saying that they can't read the materials, this is true, the app would benefit from an inbuilt pdf viewer or similar however you can download these (=

The app opens and links to my modules. But cant open any of the down loaded material. Iv tried several apps that could possibly open the materials but nothing. Absolutely useless

I use the web version but it is SUPER laggy and I get signed out ALL THE TIME so i downloaded this peice of junk and I can't even sign in because you can't use your username FOR WHAT FREAKING REASON?!?!?! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME DOWNLOADING THIS AND FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVE UNINSTALL IT BECAUSE IT DOESN'T WORK AND YOU WILL JUST GET FRUSTRATED, SO STAY FAR AWAY FROM THE THOUGHT OF DOWNLOADING THIS

I have had no problems with this app. I have logged in and downloaded all my materials for my course and I have been able to open them all by installing another app. I have this on my laptop and mobile without any problems

Doesn't work. Good idea, absolutely would love an OU app for study on the go. Sadly this particular one doesn't seem to work. Can't get past the login.

I downloaded the app. Signed in and downloaded my unit books. When I enter the app to read the books it says " no program that can read this " and doesnt open them

Useless, downloaded several Epub apps still didn't work. Can we have the previous version it worked!! Why don't you reply to these FB comments and address them !!

I can put my username and password in and then the app lets you go no further. The button to agree terms does not function at all

You need to download an ePub viewer app (NOT eReader app) to read units. Once done it works fine. eReaders tend to not pick up on the files.

Will let me sign in but then cannot accept terms as I agree button does not work. So frustrating as it worked fine before I updated the app this morning arrrrgggghhhhhhhh

Perfect for my needs. No issues with how app works I have been able to download the activities for my module so I can work on the go.

Would love to use this app but it keeps saying I can't sign in as I'm having an Internet connection issue, please check you are online..... Which I definitely am. Disappointed
