Now that it's updated, all my history and previous points are wiped out. To request the points, you have to say when you were there and how much it was from previous trips. You know, the stuff that was in the app to begin with, but was wiped clean when the app was updated. What a total piece of junk.
The new rewards program is absolutely horrible. I love how the marketing team tries to spin it off as a good thing by saying "We heard feedback from our member community that you wanted a simplified program, where you can earn rewards sooner" where in fact it's lipstick on a pig. With the new program you have to spend $280 to get $20 off. Whereas the previous program you only needed to spend $20 per visit for 3 visits. You now need to spend 4.66 times more for the same reward. LOL! 😂
App won't allow me to place order. After customizing my entree and hitting "Add to cart" it just keeps popping up an error that I need to select an entree first. Maybe I'm just missing something, but it's un-useable for me.
We can finally see our rewards and actually use them in-app, but you can't see or update the credit card on file in your account, AND the menu is different than when ordering through the Outback website! A big example which is a deal breaker for our family, is that when ordering through the app, you cannot order Seasonal nor Mixed Vegetables as a side with your meal! Only as an Extra add-on! If you can order it on the website, it should be available in the app, too!
The app works great, but there is no way to let the resurant know when you have arrived at curbside. So you can end up waiting in your vehicle for 15 minutes hoping someone will just happen to see you are there and bring your order out. Or you get tired of waiting and go inside anyway. It's really frustrating. I would give 5 stars if it had that feature.
User interface is unintuitive and doesn't work half the time. Also forgets user info frequently.
You Cannot Edit Your Order. Thus the four stars. It would be so, so, nice. I realized I put the wrong time on order. No way to fix but call. Kind of defeated the purpose of app.
New app is garbage. Keeps asking me to sign up after I'm logged in and asks to accept cookies all the time, won't let me join the wait-list.
Maybe it's me? I have not been able to change the temperature of our steaks. I've tried adding as cooking directions and still getting medium rare when we ordered medium and medium well. Having to put it on the stove when you get home isn't really my idea for curbside/ ready to eat.
This app never works, asks.for name, put name in, asks for name. Can't order food on it, so why bother. Add instructions, that doesn't work either. So why do you even have an app.
**Update 3/31/22: Radio buttons to select meat temp *still* unavail. M is the ONLY option. 🤢 9/21/21: Currently unable to select temperature for steaks. Default & only option is M.
Will not let me use my gift card. It keeps saying "incorrect parameters" when I'm typing in the correct ones. Very frustrating. Also, it does not have all of their menu items available, definitely do not recommend the app!
Tried to add a new visit the next day and got errors and glitches. Tried again and it can't find the transaction. I tried every possible "charged amount" with and without tax, tip, military discount... nothing worked. UPDATE: Two days later, still not working. UPDATE: Uninstalled.
the app is easy to maneuver thru. you can customize your order with ease. it's probably the best order app I deal with! (only issue is there is nowhere to order an extra loaf of their yummy bread)
0. Your app declined my card because of a typo. That's fine. What's not fine is it still charged my account and THEN I had to pay again to get my order to go through. Your food is good, but nowhere even close that I would want to pay twice for it. Fix it please.
Very hard to add missed visits and servers rarely ask if you are a rewards member. App should state if the charged amount is before or after tip. The menu is helpful.
I do love the rib appetizers however the last two times I ordered it not much meat the other 5 to 10 times I ordered it they were so thick and juicy and wonderful so I ordered again today and I'm hoping they're back to being thick and juicy we'll see
App can't add up bill correctly. Even when setting the Tip to 0% to figure this out, it still comes out 15-20% over the sub-total shown on the bill. Ordered from the website to not be overcharged.
From what i can tell, its great to use if youre a business person and eat out often with clients. Seems hardly worth the effort, because, once earned, according to the website's "How it works", you apparently have only 90 days to use it or lose it; I would assume then that the accumulated points are on a 90-day rolling program. Hence my low rating. Deleting app and likely the initial account I have set up.
New app update deleted my 3 purchases and $20 reward...and exchanged it for $10 with the new points system.
Well thought out app. Easy to use. I wish other places would do the same. One problem is the "Get on the wait list." It tells you this is not a reservation. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN USING THE 'Get on the wait list" and just showing up. I reported in and to my surprise I had the same wait time as the people who just showed up. Just delete this useless feature. Won't be using it again.
The app seems like it would be easy enough to use...unless you want to order the 6 oz filet. It defaults to 8 oz filet & even when I changed it to 6 oz it still showed 8 oz in the cart and charges for the 8 oz. I decided to d/l the app cuz we order Outback often. But the app doesn't allow me to order what I need so I had to go back to ordering online.
