If you have received an access key, download the Outline app to get started.
If you haven’t received an access key, you’ll first need to set-up your own server. Get started by downloading the Outline Manager from getoutline.org. Creating your own server is quick and easy, and instructions in the Manager will guide you through each step.
How Do I Set Up Outline?
- Outline consists of two related products: the Outline Manager and Outline.
- The Outline Manager lets you create and operate your own VPN, and share access with anyone you choose by sending them an invitation directly from the Manager. Once you’ve downloaded the Manager, you can easily set up a VPN server on a cloud provider in less than five minutes.
- After setup is complete, you can download the Outline app on your phone and desktop.
- Share internet access with coworkers or friends by inviting them directly from the Manager.
- If you’ve received an access code from someone using an Outline Manager you’re all set! Just download the app and get started.

Very good VPN app that I highly recommend. Therefore, there is some efforts to do like smart proxy. Since we may not want everything going through the VPN connection especially for slow internet connectivity environment, adding this feature in order to allow user to filter apps they want to proxy is great idea. Overall, this application is really the best.

A really good product. Would be better if I can select apps or programs (on windows) to use the VPN instead of running all the network traffic through it.
Please make it easy for us to create servers now I have not been able to use the app since I downloaded it
Outline serves as a cross platfrom ShadowSOCKS Client in my case (I do not use Outline server, I use vanilla ShadowSOCKS instances). My only main issues are lack of IPv6 support and DNS passthrough which the ShadowSOCKS client on Android can do without issue. But overall the app is easy to use and very secure.
Looks like the timeout has set so short sthat when I want to connect to the same working server that I use on Outline Pc version it gives me the "invalid key" error. There's no way to change the app settings whatsoever.
Great app but I just wish there was ability to add a quick settings toggle to quickly connect to a server. It's really annoying to open the app every time I wanna connect to my VPN.
It's been a while that it keeps crashing and stops working and I can not figure it out why!I deleted all the data and stuff to start the app over but it is still the same.

So far so good. Can you add the option for Android to access the quick drop down menu and add short cut icon for quick access. ( Shadosocks app have this and it's quick and convenient)

It consumes a huge amount of battery, even when the phone display is off. It consumes about hulf of my battery only itself.

If wifi internet disconnected then mobile internet connected, the app doesn't reconnecting automatically, I need open app and tap connect button. Very disappointment. Samsung S8.
Ouline is awesome but in past 2 days, it connects but there is no data transfer. On my pc it works ace, but on my phone does't work anymore...
It does what it promise. I would appreciate a better display of the servers available, so to switch in a faster way. Real support not existing: never reply to email.
Very slow.Problems to see provided website. Difficult to find keys.Policy doesn't make an user understand that, whether this app is taking data from user anonymously or not....
Occasionally it's shown still as connected when VPN is disconnected via Android settings. Better with App Shortcuts support.
Simple UI, Good Efficiency, Affordable prices, Secure Network. Good for a choice if you ever need a secure network.
There is a bug On this new update that cause no server accept after paste from clipboard and saved servers from last version are gone!
Great app, working well. But it would be awesome if I can turn off/on vpn without opening an app. At least turnoff is possible to do with notification actions
