While it is nice to find service point or load more credit on the card, all of that opens the browser. Anyways, what I expected most from this app was to actually leave my plastic Chipkaart at home and use my phone to check in. Essentially the app is quite useless. Only the quick check of your balance is handy (which is the only reason I still have it installed) , but that's about it. Very disappointing.
it would be absolutely amazing if this thing w would update itself in time. not exactly a fan of putting my card in minus and having to spend a lot more money then needed if I can avoid it.
When opening app, I get a message that the app is outdated so am not allowed to use it. In play store, it is the most updated version. Uninstall + reinstall does not solve the problem.
I do not see the benefits of using this app. If it were possible to use this app in combination with an NFC function for my card I would install it immediately. Less cards in my wallet is always better.
Based on the name I would expect to check in/out with my mobile... Stupid that this is not possible. Useless. Another thing: the app does not accept the strong password as suggested by Google (I really would not have guessed that....). Why is public transport usage in the Netherlands made so utterly complex...?
I want to add multiple cards to this app and there seems to be no option for this even though all my cards appear on the website. Not having this option has completely destroyed my ability to use this app. Very crappy!!!
Can't do anything without an account, which I have absolutely no interest in. A shame that, in a time where even low budget phones have NFC readers and iOS 13 enabled access to the NFC functionality, we still can't see the credit remaining on our OV cards by accessing the NFC chip. Not user friendly and completely useless in the current state.
Very easy to see your balance and where you use it to, also to correct when you forget to check out or they charge you too much for your travelling.
Useless, app. Easier to top up using the NS ticket machines. Https does not allow Autofill for card / exp fields The OV app login process links card/userID, accessing crd History. Thus sometimes knows /Computer design to repeat tasks like typing 16 digits.. I've changed to a Flex subscription. Neither product' is RTM - No testing, wmateurish!. Source DB non-ODBC to billing DB. resulting 2 half entry . Cu svcs implied I should x'd., WHY? SHAME ON ALL INVOLVED. Me? Data spec / guru. LinkedIn.
It does not show my personal ov card even though i added it on my ov, on the website. It basically does not work. It keeps redirecting me to the website, why make an app then? I am going to have to call customer services.
Never thought there would be a company worse at IT then the goverment. Making your app EOL and then working on a new one is not the way to do things. Do everyone a favour and stop the development aswell to save us from your incompetence. Congratulations, you have hit rock bottom. Please stop digging.
Unable to login keeps giving network/timeout errors, both on (high quality) wifi and LTE connections. Same with my wife's phone/account.
Stupid app. Transactions are not realtime. Money is deducted when I recharge the OV chipkaart BUT I have to again confirm the same on the GVB kiosk. The app is useless. It is just a bunch of links to the official website.
If you are in a network out of Netherlands it doesn't login or update the informations !! It happens also in login area on website !! I also sent a contact form by website to let you know the issue !! Hope help you fix it !!
We're working on creating a new App??? Buuuuuut... we're going to disable the perfectly working App before we complete the new App??? Probably the worst IT department on the planet (facepalming myself right now)!!!
Nothing special, no option to use the app to check-in and check-out, you can not see your travel expenses when you have personal OV, i still didn't get the purpose of this app 🤔😬
Terrible experience lately. App does not work. Keep getting "Fout 101" when trying yo view my history or card details. They seem to no longer have a Customer Service. Only feedback.
The app is in English only. There is an option within the app to change it to Dutch but it doesn't work. The app is in English anyway.
Login using mobile data doesn't work. It's not even an app, just a bunch of URLs to their website.
Redundant application: To recharge money in the account, you need to find a yellow ticket-macine. Check-in/check-out/transaction history is not real time, you need to wait a few hours
It says security risk, app must be updated. But there is no update on Google play. Unusable and a waste of time.
Useless. Merely a front end to the website. Despite the name this app can't read the OV-chipcard to give stored value or journeys, it requires a login.
Bought topup from the application. Money was paid, but my balance did not increase. Terrible experience. This app is a fraud.
Who was the dim bulb that thought it was a good idea to disable the app through an update...!??! Thanks for nothing on that idea....this is what you get from "no competition monopolies".... garbage support
Cannot log in, says constantly i have no or very bad internet connection, even though that one is more than good enough.
Unpolished and technically outdated front-end for data that is available on the website anyway.
We're getting the new app ready but in the meantime we'll disable this one. Great idea!
Fairly underwhelming app, it's merely a companion to the website as it only shows transaction history (the most useful feature) and a map of service points. Missed check-out as well as topping up the card are only browser links. Especially topping up is a very painful experience, it only supports iDEAL (no cards) and despite linking my chipkaart to my account in the app, I still have to type card number and email again. No NFC functionality at all. App has potential, but so far not very good.
