This is a decent app for what it does, at the moment, it is working better for me than paper charting. Pros: so much data you can enter. App automatically draws you cover line, sets peak days etc. When I had a short luteal phase, it offered an article about why that might be happening. Cons: the app is not very intuitive. It took forever to find previous charts. There is no way to simplify the data available to enter. Since I skipped some info on some days, the app didn't draw my cover line after a clear thermal shift. Overall, this app gets the job done, but isn't wonderful, customizable, or intuitive.
App works fine, could use some improvement when it comes to adding information in the daily log after having closed out of the editing window. If I accidentally fill in the wrong blank (e.g. dry instead of sticky in the cervical fluid section) and then go back to correct it, it takes up to five or six tries for it to actually correct the information. Other than that, it does what it's supposed to. I definitely prefer the simplicity of the app over printing and keeping a written log.
I love how clean this app is to look at! Like any charting app, it takes a little while to get used to the format andact, but I love this app! The only problem I have with it is that it sometimes says it is saving my data, but then doesnt save it. Sometimes I have to enter the data several times before it will save, and sometimes I just give up because it wont save. The latest update improved this issues considerably, though, and it is much less frequent. :) I love this app!
So glitchy. The app doesn't save my info most of the time, and seeing any updated charts requires restarting my phone, sometimes multiple times. They keep saying they will update it but this has been happening for a while so I'm not sure how long we need to wait for it to be fixed. I really want this app to work but I'm about to switch to a different one. Updated: the glitches have really calmed down since an update, which I really appreciate. Still slow, but much better!
I used to do paper charting and I became very inconsistent about it, especially when I started a new cycle. With this app, I never forget and I can look at it wherever I go, instead of carrying one with me. This is much more convenient and private. An improvement I would like to see is the ability for the user to add in their own custom fields on the chart.
I have used the FAM for many years while planning my family. I love having my chart right on my phone to update the data so easily! I take screen shots of my charts before starting the next cycle tho because I haven't figured out if there is a way to view past ones. All the info corresponds to everything I used to do paper pencil and learned from the book, ...but now I don't have to make sure I have a blank copy ready to go!
Android version doesn't sync and hasn't for a year. Keeps saying "Login Failed, we tried to log you in and something went wrong, check that you are online and try again." and "You are currently in offline mode. You can edit/add cycle day information in this mode but you will need to reconnect before you can view your charts. Tap here to reconnect now." Tapping takes you back to "Login Failed...."
This app is the worst app I've ever dealt with. The online support in the forums is GREAT. But the app is terrible. It is either extremely slow or just doesnt work, all of the time. I have to go to the website and enter the data from there. When the app does let me enter my data,it doesnt save it. If it does save it it doesnt update my data,I have to go to the website to view my chart and data. The app is pointless, might as just use the website, you'll be spending most of your time there anyway.
This app is lovely in that it allows you to chart your cycle on your phone. There are few frills, and the app very rarely glitches up. If the company/app producers wanted to take it to the next level, they could add features for more manual interpretation (placing coverlines, determining pk day, shift counters, etc.). I don't want the app to do those things for me.
Fantastic way to chart cycles based on the Fertility Awareness Method detailed I'm Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It's not super pretty, and has a TON of options for data to enter. I'd much prefer a simpler interface for daily entry with just the three primary signs, but it certainly does the job and creates easy to read charts.
I like the simplicity of the data entry and chart, and the customizable chart settings. I do not like the waiting to log in after app start or the updating after every info input. You should be logged in when the app starts, and you should be able to swipe and edit ALL dates before having to save the info. Just saying.
I've used the TCOYF charts for years and have always been a huge fan of the book. I believe every female bodied person should be given the book as a teenager. I was thrilled to discover they created a digital version of charting and am very pleased with the app. It's very easy to make updates and chart everything I need to. This app doesn't simplify the fertility cycle like some other apps do. It is still useful to have a thorough understanding of female fertility in addition to using this app.
I used to love this app, but it's getting so frustrating! ever since they "fixed" the time on the bbt, it won't upload or save the other buttons. normally I wouldn't mind, but it's very hard to look for trends when they're not recorded. it's enough to make me want to go to charting on paper
In my previous review I said " you cannot add data to previous days" and I got a reply that you can by accessing 'today's data' and swiping thank you for that information but honestly that is not obvious at all, when I wanted to add things I tried everything on the app and it got frustrating then I gave up ... all I am saying is that you need to at least add arrows left and right that indicates that this is possible... I use many apps and it always user friendly and easy to use... try adding arrows, use more colors this will make it easier and trivial ..thanks !
I appreciate charts looking exactly like the paper charts from the TCOYF book. However, long list of cons: 1. Bad cache management, with user having to wait for app to log in, wait to update, wait to refresh, etc. unnecessarily. This can be handled better so user doesn't have to click, wait, click, wait. all previous info should be in a cache. 2. inability to go back and edit / add info in days in the current cycle.
Great app. I like that it goes along with the book. My only complaint is some of the interface elements are clunky for the User. Such as buttons in an odd order with Clear being the largest oppose to Save. Consider the primary goal the user should accomplish in any area and make those actions more predominant. Other than that love it.
This was the best app out of 4 that I have tried. I say WAS because all of a sudden it's stopped working & telling me "login failed". I've religiously used the app for almost a year. I've uninstalled & reinstalled the app several times today & no change. There isn't even an option to logout so I can try to login again. Your app holds tons of very important information for those of us having difficulty w/ getting pregnant & it's nerve wracking for it to not work. Will change to 5 stars when fixed
The new update has made it so that you cannot zoom out and see the whole cycle chart on the screen, even if you rotate the screen. Fix this! This was one of your best features for chart review that you had. I do not want to have to scroll to see the whole cycle charted! Enable it to zoom out more so the chart fits the screen! Edit: Fixed! Thank you for listening to your users!
