OvuView: Ovulation & Fertility
This app can be used both as an advanced birth control tool, or as a simple menstrual calendar, and help you to:
• maximize your chances of conceiving a baby/getting pregnant
• avoid pregnancy using natural methods (contraception),
• plan your next holiday with future menstruation and ovulation dates predicted,
• track weight, headache, appetite, PMS and other symptoms,

Based on your cycle symptoms (such as menses, basal body temperature, cervical mucus and/or cervix), OvuView automatically evaluates and charts your fertility using proven natural family planning (NFP) methods. I use this app to sync to my tempdrop. It plots my temperatures. I love how it gives the info in chart and calendar form. I keep a separate (paper) chart to record my mucus symptoms, though I could also input that info into this app too, I just prefer having one on paper. I use both sets of information to confirm ovulation. Overall I find this app excellent and I love how it builds up all my stats and history as the months go by.
Recentlt lost data that was recorded for the entire time I've had the app. I purchased the premium version years ago. Very few issues after updates. Now all I have are my notes and the assumed period start times or spotting. I always have auto sync on for the app but that was turned off over the past week as well. Very unhappy with what has happened. This information was being used for health issues. Now I don't have anything. Thanks OvuView (the new owners) for nothing!
I just noticed it has upgraded and I have lost all my data recorded. My account was always sync to it, but now when I try to recover it, it stays "loading" never showing anything else. Is there a way to recover it? Besides that, it is a pretty good app in my opinion. Please take care of the adjustments you make, some people (like me) use this for medical record.
Used this app free for eons. The ads are so annoying now. Thanks TempDrop. 🙄 Edit: The sync feature works again! Yay! I love this app and have been using it for years now. Unfortunately it has become very buggy and the functionality is declining. Reminders do not work and today the app won't even sync. Downloaded all my data in case the app declines further.
UPDATE: a year later, and no resolution. They gave me free 3-month coupon codes for the ad-free version (which I'd paid for before the change of hands and was supposed to have forever), but I'd then get charged and have to reach out. Every time, it was, "Oh, we're working on a solution. Here's a coupon code and we'll refund you." A year later, and still having this happen, which is a hassle. I'm done. I shouldn't have to do this in perpetuity. I'm switching to a new app.
No other app on the market allows you to record as much detail as this app. Describing CM for instance is in depth. I branched out to see what else was out there, and came back to this. Easy to navigate, graphs are easy to read. Predicting ovulation once you put in your data is very accurate. I inputted 6 months of data from this app into 2 other similar apps and one was completely off with the crosshairs. Don't change a thing! This app is perfect the way it is!
Loved this app until the other day. I opened the app to record something and somehow all my information that I had saved for years is gone. It was all there a day or so prior. There's no way to get it back since the most recent sync was virtually blank. So now I can't even restore some of my information since it's lost. I have no idea how this happened or why. Edit: Feb 12, 21 The saved data problem has been fixed and restored. All is well and back to normal with the app. Thank you, Tempdrop!
I've used this app for 4-5 years. There are many things I like about it: ease of use, interface, what's available, etc. However, I can only give 3/5 stars because of the constant (recent) problems. First it was not syncing, then the Google authentication, now the app crashes every time I try to open it so I can't access any of my history. It's quite disappointing.
After using the app for years, I opened the app one day and saw that all of my data was gone. Moreover, the support team sent back an automated reply (as the issue is too common, I guess) that apparently there is no way to restore the data. No prior warnings that it could happen and users should take care of saving their data, nothing... However good the functionality of the app might be, if you cannot trust the app with the very fundamental task of saving the data, the app becomes useless.
Updated: thank you for the quick reply and making the updates to mute ads. --- I have used the premium version of this app for years and always loved it especially after integrating my tempdrop. But now it is playing loud ads every time I log any symptoms. Not what I want to hear first thing in the morning! I thought when I bought the premium version there wouldn't be any more ads or payments. Now I need to pay a monthly subscription??? What gives?!
App got totally messed up after I switched phones, as in previous data was just gone and the calendar interface suddenly had all these apparently pointless yellow dots that made it hard to read at a glance. It was frustrating, but I just dealt with it until the app started showing me an ad about DJT's wall, only that ad again and again and again. I've started using a different app and I'm genuinely wondering what took me so long to switch.
I love the design and the ease of which you can add data. Only thing I'm a little bummed about is not being able to place your own cover line since it doesn't always place it in the correct spot per sympto-thermal rules. Other than that, great app, no gitches, and only having to pay a one time $5 fee to get premium and remove adds is a definite plus!
Good app. It has TD integration and a really nice variety for CF data. The coverline and temp shift tend to get placed incorrectly. I also wish the displace for CF on the chart gave more information (only displays a + or - sign). Have used for several years because it is compatible with TD, but also had to put in all my data from another app by hand. Good, does the job, just not the best.
DO NOT USE THIS APP!!! 5/1/19 - Tech support for my issue is non-existent. I sent screenshots and a detailed description and no response has been received in over a month. 3/26/19 - I've been using this app for years on a Samsung Alpha with no problems. Switched to a Samsung S8 recently. The back-up synced fine, but I can't update my temperature symptom anymore. The "save" button is greyed out.
I was a big fan of the app, not your typical cutesy pink and flowery tracker for women. It had all the functionality I've wanted from an app like this. I've bought the premium version once, but it didn't transfer across accounts when I swapped phones and that was the end of it. Now, the ads are terrible. Intrusive, screen stealing, timed with a timer forcing you to stare at a stupid game ad each time you try to modify a days data. It's too much. After years of using it, I am looking to abandon all the handy data it has collected and switching to a new ad-free app.
