Oware & Mancala
This game does not have fancy graphics and rather focus on gameplay, which also means the download size is tiny.
Oware is the oldest board game still generally being played today. This game is also known as Ayò, Awalé, Wari, Ouri, Ouril, Uril, Warri, Adji, Awélé, Awari and some other names depending on where you live. This game follows the abapa ruleset. If you do not know Oware, please read the instructions before playing.
Kalah, also sometimes called Mancala, is an easier game played with three seeds or marbles in each house and where multiple moves by each side is possible. This is the most common version of the game rules in the USA.
For playing against the computer, the hard level for Oware is significantly harder than the hard level for Kalah.

Good app, but needs an update on options, such as being able to save gameplay for later, possibly playing others online, as well as having an option to change interface (I.e. beads, stones, or numbers)
Does not ask for access to my photos, device ID, contact list, or wallet. Also a fun game, but deserves more praise for permission sanity than anything. If all developers respected my privacy this much, I would install more games.
You have to know how to play if you want to win. Its not easy.

But I couldn't stand it, having numbered pits instead of the usual beads. Most Mancalah games show the number in addition to the beads in each pit.
It takes some gutting used to as it plays real fast. It is fun and good for the brain.

Its different from the Akan version. Takes getting used to, but its good and fun.

Contrary to the advert, lousy visual with numbers telling you how many stones inea space instead of piecea. Morw important, when the computer moves u cant actually see what it did, the numbers just instantly change which os diaorientong and detracts from the impression of having an opponemt. Dofficulty is pretry polarized too, i blew the ai out on easy and med and got crushed on hard. There are several better mancala apps to choose from.
They don't even have clear sides so bum get the real game stupid
Nice game -- gives a choice in game play. Also nice that no special permissions are required and that the file size is so small. But there are no rocks or beads to move, making it difficult to follow the game play as it takes place. Add some graphics and I'll download and give 5 stars. Until then, I'm uninstalling.

great app: - lightweight - has both single player (with different levels to choose from) and two player - offers instructions - i particularly like that the pits have numbers instead of grains, which means you don't have to start counting every time - NO permissions asked! great app!
