Lousy only encase no cash option. Maps is lousy. Don't bother download. No drivers wasted I f space in my phone. Foreigners don't bother to download wait long
Still just as useless as they were when they started. I tried signing up using FB, but loads nowhere.
App needs more improvement with its performance and interface. Sometimes it lags. Personally, I'd like to see my pickup and destination points even if the app is already searching for a driver. Also, in the future, hopefully there is an inclusion of a ride sharing feature, much like UberPool. Nonetheless, great initiative! Finally a worthy competitor for Grab. :)
The service is actually good. The app could use major improvements as once you are in transit, it no longer shows your destination in the app and the route to take. The biggest problem however is the scarcity of vehicles. I've been trying to book rides for months, and i have only managed to successfully book a ride twice. Statistically, that is a pathetic rate. Please get more drivers.
From a rider's standpoint, the service is just as good as its major competitor but the application itself still needs a lot of improvement. As to the price of its rides, it's still has one of the lowest available compared to the rest of the TNVS applications. It should fix it's GPS, as it is not yet as accurate and there are still places which I couldn't find in its search feature. The app itself is buggy and hangs every now and then. Whenever I try to book, more often than not, it doesn't arrive at the "searching for drivers" part when I just have to wait for a driver to accept my ride. I remedy this by restarting the app whenever this happens. Unfortunately, it doesn't save the last point of pick-up and destination I choose, so I have to enter them again. How primitive, as compared to other TNVS applications. The drivers are generally okay. I have not encountered any problem with them and they usually pick me up even though they're far from my designated pick-up point. After finally ditching Grab, I think it's still the best available option left for me to use for booking rides. I have been using this week for two weeks straight now and I think I would not encounter problems other than its app. The drivers are also, most of the time, available in Taguig. If only it would put a lot of premium on fixing the application itself (which, I think should be its top priority aside from advertising it), then the probability of getting more customers to book rides from them would go up. In other words, they should fix their user-interface and make the app more seamless to be as user-friendly like its other TNVS competitors' apps.
Fare is definitely lower than Grab and surge fees too. So far, it's easier for me to book Owto during rush hour. What needs improvement is the interface. Sometimes, it's hard determine where the car is en route. Plus, I think addresses/pin are not updated. I've been dropped off and picked up at the wrong pin a few times.
Pinning of pickup and destination is very, very difficult. Prior to the update, I am able to search my pickup and destination. Now, the navigation map of the app doesn't recognize it anymore. Plus, drivers would hardly respond to passenger's chat. Lastly, there is no way to see how near/far the driver is. Overall, 1/5 until things get better.
Saved us from the hopelessness of Grab. We were trying to book there for more than an hour when I finally came across Owto as I was looking for other alternatives. Much easier to book, much cheaper, and much nicer drivers! Still tends to lag from time to time and hope they can improve on bugs over time but overall a happy experience.
Though prices are far compared to grab, the app itself is not friendly. There's no way to rate the drivers so, it has a minimal chance to also improve customer experience. Additionally, you cant pin places that easily as the app is not that updated with the places/addresses. I hope this can still be improved. Not a good experience with OWTO so far..
First time to use the app since I was both curious and delighted to learn that it is being run by Filipino developers. Though offered a cheaper rate, it took me a long time to get a confirmed booking and even a longer time (30mins as opposed to the ETA displayed) for my ride to arrive. The map has been glitching while I waited, and I agree with other reviews that the UI could really use some major improvements in terms of bug fixes and functionality. Will stick around hoping to see better changes
kindly improve your UI, kindly show the route the driver is using going towards the pick up point so that we can advise and coordinate were exactly to be picked up. Some addresses are still unavailable on your search box and I usually use pin on map which is a bit of a hassle so this is another issue that can be improved. Please also move the "im here" button of the driver farther away from the "start trip" as some accidentaly clicks "im here" and won't be able to msg the passenger
Just registered the other day and immediately got a ride. Their rates are LOWER- almost double that of grab. The only thing about owto is since they have fewer units, you gotta give them some leeway time to pick you up. but recently, the app changed and you lost the ability to communicate with the driver. You can't cancel the ride with a button and has to resort to shutting down the app. Wish you cao see the ride approaching in your app
I cannot use this app during rush hour (7am-8am). I was looking for a cheaper alternative to grab. However, it said that I have no internet connection when it was otherwise. Due to my frustration, I had no choice but to go back to grab for booking. Please improve your system. You have just started and you are actually trying to clash a giant. If your system won't improve at all, sooner or later, you'll be gone in this business.
It's really indeed cheaper compared to other TNVS apps, but I highly suggest to improve your system ASAP. It was hard to pin my pick-up & drop-off that I have to call the driver to make sure he has gotten the right information so as not to have any conflict. Looking forward to Owto's future improvement!
Been trying to log in in the app for weeks. It does not let me. It keeps saying oops something went wrong. That's great. Nice start.
