So far it's ok but even with load external images enabled it fails with pc magazine newsletters some load sometimes and other times they dont might be a timeout issue slow server or something not sure. It's on a new account so I dont have many emails set up yet to tell if it's just pcmag. After further use it seems to have serious issues loading external images down graded to one star.
So frustrating. Opens fine on my Chromebook but when I try to log in on my Android phone it sometimes lets me in sometimes not and always asking me to log in when I just want open my inbox by pushing the app. Keeps saying password has changed and then saying password or email is wrong - it's not!. Just wish I didn't have to use this server for my work.
Your app is so impossible to use. I have no idea what a driver url is. Explain and walk people through it. Not able to connect my business email into an app so it will be easy. No way to contact anyone for instructions. Screw this, guess I'll just have to sign in and check it through my domain provider. Absolutely ridiculous
Excellent email app. Syncs easily with Outlook on desktop and easy to use with standard Samsung email program as well. Update: 11 May 21. Was working well but started getting notifications for emails that had been deleted. Reinstalled but now I get the message like others that says server isn't responding using same details as desktop version.
I very rarely leave reviews but have felt the need to go out my way with this one. The whole point in OX Mail is to cater for business customers however, it is a matter of Russian roulette as to whether it will allow me to log in or not. Repeatedly being denied access to my account due to 'wrong email address or password' (it's not) is so inconvenient and frustrating. I now have to load up the PC numerous times a day just to keep myself updated. Annoyed and wish someone would sort it out.
Logs out randomly and doesn't allow you back in. It can be days or hours but you try and log in and it says that your password or email has changed, it's very frustrating and means you don't have reliable access to your email. So if you need an urgent reply or are waiting on a response you might need to go to a desk top or laptop to use the ox service. Very poor.
Simple and easy mailing app :(update: app died without warning few days ago. This is a communications app, which people [used to] rely on for being reachable. The users should have been warned or at least updated about any outage, particularly if it is a scheduled one.
I'm no longer getting timely notifications for new emails. I'll get a notification once every few days with all of my new emails instead. I don't have any of the app's notifications disabled in Android. I reinstalled the app and I'm still having the same issue. Please fix!
the app features are very basic compared to others. - can't change the view settings (eg to only see the email subject, not the first few lines of the email). - can't change the actions for sweeping right or left etc
Push notifications did not work and they sent me back to my (Ox-based) email provider for support. However, the issue was with their app, not my provider, as I have no issues receiving push notifications for the same account in the app I've switched to. Would have rated 5 stars otherwise.
Can't even get past the login process. After filling my credentials I just get "Server is not responding. Please try again later" over and over. The servers in question (PrivateEmail, which is built on OX) are working perfectly fine from my browser on my desktop. Can't get much worse than this.
I've tried to access my business email from app with no success. I can't even open OX Drive on my phone or Windows PC. Thnx. After sending an email with my case, the support team was able to resolve and enable my access to my email
using this for a business email that I paid for, server is constantly down or being maintained. notifications dont come through to my phone so have to go into the app and refresh to see if I have new emails or email replies... that's if the server isn't down. how can I run a business like this!!
App doesn't actually send emails. Just puts it in the outbox and never sends. I can get emails though. If my work didn't require us to have this exchange I would never use this willingly.
Please try again later, server is not responding. Too often do I see this message, it's ridiculous. I'm lucky in that I don't really get that many emails for my business. However, if I did, I would be really concerned that this mail service could end up costing me a contract or two. I can't believe how many negative feedbacks there are about this app and yet, it continues. 😞
App seems to be working fine but it doesn't seem to automatically look for emails in sleep mode. I.e I have to open app to see if any new emails have come. Can I change this via settings?
App quit working. Cannot check email. Updated, uninstalled and re-installed. Continually gives "Server not available. Please try again." Absolute trash since update to app by developer.
Totally Useless I use ox for my buisness mail it's riddled with issues tecnical help is unavailable and over all it makes my life so difficult even when it works not at all user friendly compared to other platforms available take my advice. AVOID!!
Configuration is frustratingly opaque. You're presented with a login screen and no instructions as to how to get the credentials it's requesting. If you're not going to confirm to standards like IMAP & SMTP server names, at the very least tell me how to give you what you want. I'm on EuroDNS using openxchange.eu.
I've been unable to log in, when I eventually get to the stage where I can put in my password there is a red error message saying "The server doesn't seem to respond. Please try again later". I've tried at several points and still no luck.
Better off just typing in the IMAP SMTP into your own mail program. If it's not complaining about compatibility with its own server, it can't communicate with it because the server isn't responding. Junk
Can't add more than one email account. Even can't login from separate android devices. Web version is good. But App is not.
Very unreliable app. It won't connect to server. Developers, please check to make sure we can fix this issue
Can't even log in half the time. This app makes no sense. Frustrating and would never recommend.
If you had setup 2FA this app doesn't work. Where as it works with other clients. Not sure why it is designed this way. Give advanced configuration such as manually entering IMAP configuration
Has to be the first time I've downloaded an app, logged in, then right away had the app close on me. Great on desktop but the phone version has bugs.
Not a great user experience. The place to tap for selecting emails constantly opens an email rather than selecting it, making me need to mark it unread again. It also moves messages to the wrong folder, and if I move or delete a message from the message itself, it marks the next email in the system as read, even if it's been moved into a folder. I almost rated it 2 stars because I can't create a new folder while moving a message from reading it.
