This is NOT a free reference set; it's only free to download it ...& presumably to use it briefly. The first time I tried looking up a word in it, most of the screen was covered by a notice telling me my trial was over and I needed to buy this to be able to use it. And this apparently is in addition to the ads you get, since there is no notice I can see on the play store page for this saying it's only a trial. But it does say it contains ads and sales in. FAIL!
I would have loved to use this app more, as I use my dictionary and thesaurus daily, and quite often, and even paid the $7.50 during the 50% off sale to have the premium. Not only was the payment taken out twice, by no fault of mine as I only confirmed it once and that was it, I STILL don't have the premium version of the app. Would love some answers and a refund of my money, otherwise I'll have to talk to my bank.
Having a sophisticated vocabulary is important to communicating with people. They won't take you seriously if you have a primitive approach. This app helps fill the gaps and gives me the resource I need to upgrade my conversations.
Very easy to use. Perhaps if it can make pop up words suggestion if I set it to be, rather than go to the app and type it, it'll be great. But like this is good and the app size is not too large. So..love it!
this app does not show you the words you have saved offline and as a matter of fact it doesn't even work offline,you have to buy the offline version but i have to give it a stellar recommendation because it was very informative when i used it even though it required me to use data
When this app said it's free and can be used offline I've installed it but the moment I switched off my mobile data and go offline, I wasn't aware that it's not free..you must buy..so it's no different from others.. The free thing is just a bait. But anyways, it helps so I gave 4 stars😁
Excellent app when paid. The adds on the free version are very restrictive. If you buy it you'll be happy. If you don't pay, don't bother with it.
Can't believe I paied for this, it does not do in-app translation. There's an option for launching the app automatically if a word is copied onto the clipboard. 👎🏻
Terrible. They put so many annoying distracting ads in the free app in order to pester you to buy the $15 version that's it's practically unusable. Don't waste your time.
Very informative. Presents information in an easily read format. Also provides other information (i.e. synonyms and origins and translations) all in one app!
It is superb!... But, for some reason that I could not understand, it stops functionong in a matter of a few weeks of service. I have to delete and install again.

Overall, satisfied. However, I am curious why the ad (on top right) does not disappear after purchasing the app. Adding the dark mode will be greatly appreciated.
Overall the app is great. I docked it one star as a few of the words I entered the app had no definition for. Perhaps I needed a more extensive dictionary
I got a message saying the trial was over the first time I looked something up and I had to buy a subscription before I could look the first word up. So you don't really even get to try it first
Horrible App., really hard to switch between sceens. Was advertised as a dictionary & thesaurus. But it would not give a thesaurus for some simple words.
Use this app all the time. It's nice to have a thersuaraus and a dictionary all in one. Easy to use and I like the word of the day feature.
The app is great. The dictionary makes definition easier and the Theasarus brings the meaning of the word out.

I was looking for an app that would give me the "look up" feature while in other apps. I thought this app had that feature, but so far I haven't been able to get it to work.

Purchased Oxford English Dictionary and Thesaurus which is an combined application, but I cannot locate the Thesaurus in the application.

So many ads, I can use Google to look up the word and not have to pay a subscription and there will be fewer ads

It's an invaluable asset, having the ability to search definitions, synonyms and similar grammatical references on a readily available app. I'm a writer, of various genres, and today's day and age, our phones are essentially an extension of ourselves. So yeah....this Oxford app... AWESOME.... CONVENIENT AND NECESSARY.
