2.7 GB of download. Took an hour. When started, displayed a mysterious error message and can't even translate "boy". In response to the developer's reply: I did go to the "Catalog" section and tried to select a dictionary. Everything there was read-only, nothing I pressed changed anything. Perhaps it was because of the error message. Just to give a bit of context: I have been a senior software programmer and architect for 20 years.
Spent many hours to download the 2.9 GB app (yes, 2.9 GB). Upon opening the app, it asked for permission to access local media / files, which I did. Then it showed: net:ERR_INSECURE_RESPONSE at bottom. Searching any word will result: no match. I also confirmed from Settings that the app has permission to access local media. Had a high hope, and now so disappointed.
When i subsribed the dictionary for advanced learners, i remember it said that i could cancel my subscription at any time and that i would be charged proportionately. i decide to cancel the subscriptio because i found the app disappeared mysteriously in my phone. i tried to cancel my subscription today and found that my subscription can only be canceled after the full year subscription. i feel upset.
I had bought several Oxford dictionaries in the past and also feel very satisfied with this version of dictionary. One blemish is "I could not incorporate this dictionary as one of the pop-up dictionaries when long-pressing the word during the article reading". Is it possible to add this "pop-up" feature in the future release? More suggestions: (1/13/2019) I really love the feature of making all the Chinese explanations in this dictionary as searchable items that places this dictionary as the most coveted C-to-E dictionary. (I actually made this suggestion to your company a few years ago). One more added segment will make your dictionary as a transcendent one. If you can add a section with most of the Chinese-specific words such as 饅頭, 油條, 魚餃 (and make its Chinese searchable), by doing so, it will be the crowning glory of your dictionary.
cannot finish the installation after update to Android 10, I have tried reinstalling several times, each time stuck at "resume downloading" failed page. Please investigate this issue. Thanks.
Can not use this dictionary after upgraded android 10. Always stay at 'resume donwloding' page. Downloading is always failed. Pls fix this bug. I just subscribed one year.
Very useful. I hope you can make Kindle version, Kindle have not good English-Chinese dictionary, especially Transitional Chinese version.
Good for some people, not me. Due to some other people having good experiences with this app, 3 stars. Problems: as this app is 2 GB, takes 1 whole day to download. I'd rather just buy the paper version. Oh yeah, I have it. 😂
Failed to show any results after downloading and only redirected to search on line for all searches.
I clicked purchase unlimited access. And it still appear nothing. No word can be searched. The catalogue still showing need to purchase subscription
App is good and informative. But for expansion of education it should be free for under developed countries. There are many app like it are free then why it charges that much high.
What a kidding apps!? Keeping errors after waiting for a huge download... I am interested of what great features can provide by the largest non-gaming apps I ever seen... but I cant justify as this doesn't work at all
我買了iOS及Android版, 可惜只有iOS版有例句搜尋功能, 例如打"Which do", iOS版會找出"Which do you want?", 但在Android版上是完全沒有反應的, 請問會否跟進？ I bought this app both in iOS and Android version, iOS version has sentence search feature but Android version doesn't work in most cases. For instance, when I search "which do you", iOS version will show the example sentence but not in Android version, very disappointed.

Large size file download but get nothing. Need to complete a complicated registration to have a 14 day trial. Not recommended

after the app update, the app became buggy. It only showed the definition of the last word meaning even if you typed in a new word
This app can never get basic functions right. Now it force me to delete bookmarks while adding new one. You should change your developer, seriously.
I spent $198 to in-app purchase another dictionary, oxford collocations dictionary, but unable to find the app and use it.

There is no show-word-translation with text selection feature
I can't update the app! Google store just tell me update the app just need 31MB, however who can tell me why I already update 310MB can't not finished yet!
The content is even less comprehensive than a free app! Even worse, it is expensive!

Pinyin is essential for Chinese learners. Please add the feature.
I'd subscribe if this app supported Dark Mode. Many people are more active at night so it would be considerate of the app developer to implement a night mode feature. Please let me know when that's implemented and I will come back to subscribe. By the way, there seems to be bugs with the Bookmark. When I add a new word to the Bookmark, a pop-up window appears repeatedly for every single word I added previously. That's annoying. Please fix that. A great app in general. Thanks
