Easy to download and set up. I don't know why the app needs a location to pair but I don't think real privacy has been an actual thing for decades. It works perfectly, much better than some other device apps and is the perfect backup for the remote
Was able to install and open, but app immediately crashes afterwards. Would highly recommend not promoting the software at its current state. The fan, however, does work quite well and I'm very glad to have the remote, lol.
App will not pair with my Note 9!!! The App crashes each attempt. UPDATED 4/29/20 : NO CHANGE, UPDATED 5/22/2020: App finally paired with my Note 9 and fan works well. UPDATED 5/23/2020: Just one day later, app won't pair and cannot find fan. It now crashes during each attempt. Totally frustrating, especially given how much money I spent on the fan!
I'm mad i didn't read the reviews. This is sad for the price. I searched high and low for a Bluetooth fan. Sounds as if everybody deserves half of their money back. I just got mines and I can't even get the app to come up. Its been searching for 10 min. now. I've installed, un-installed re-installed, reboot my phone. Yet i still don't even have the Remote screen🤦🏽. I'm truly disappointed in this produce. Take this off the shelf🚮
App works (but I have some rants) • No widgets makes me have to go into app for access to Fan remote. • Fan itself stands too tall for the oscillating base. (unstable turn-table base) CONCLUSION: All and all its a good fan and app works fine as described. (NOTE: I'm only 1 hour in, updates may likely follow.)
Was fine.. The app i download ozre was working exellent all of the sudden it keeps sayn loading and stiill not working. One the reazon i bought this fan was because the bluetooth i have a S 9+ android what it the issue need responds please AND YES I CAN USE THE REMOTE CONTROL BUT THIS TINY REMOTE GET LOST ALL THE TIME IM A PERSON WITH DISABILITY AGAIN I BOUGHT THIS FAN BECAUSE OF THE BLUETOOTH APP... HELLOOO Another issue is that everytime i use the app i have to scan/ paired is so annoying !!
Should have listened to the reviews!! Wouldn't find my fan!! Luckily I don't need Bluetooth and only bought it for the full remote control BUT...if I had bought this for the Bluetooth capability I would be pretty pissed and I'd be looking for a refund!! Anyway...app is UNINSTALLED now and will remain that way!
Easy to setup. No need to use Bluetooth setting for cell phone. It control the timer, speed, and rotation. Very nice features.
Update to my previous review - App now opens without force closing right away while searching for bluetooth devices. Thanks for fixing that. Another update - Back to force closing again. 😡 - Galaxy S21
Ozf5-bt: Phone can detect the fan in bluetooth menus, but the app will not... did the 1 minute reset process with the fan.... I also have the latest operating software as well....
Doesn't hold the mapping so have to scan each time. Today it stopped scanning. Uninstalled/reinstalled but wont scan.
All the app does on my Pixel is crash. Not worth the hassle over the normal remote control.
Bought the fan for this app, can see the fan in my bluetooth, but shows no devices in the app. Will be returning.
This app couldn't find the fan through bluetooth after the latest update on my Samsung Galaxy 8+.
Why would this app need location access? sadly the app is better than the remote but at the cost of privacy.
ios app is working fine however your android App is not detecting fan. Please fix the issue with android app.
Update. Working great for me now. Took a bit to pair with my phone but works swimmingly now. No complaints!
EXTREMELY TEMPERAMENTAL. Sometimes the App won't connect with the fan.

Reviews are not promising, I bought the fan and just downloaded the app, but the reviews are not promising - is there anyone from the developers reading this? You need to do something about it fast or your reputation will diminish.

The fan itself is good, nothing great. As far as the Bluetooth goes, it quickly paired but it unpairs every time I close the app making me have to pair it again each time. I got the fan specifically for the Bluetooth option, not sure if I will return it yet considering I paid over $100.
I recently purchased a Bluetooth enabled Ozeri fan specifically because of the ability to control the fan via Bluetooth. The fan arrived today, and while it's a terrific fan, the app leaves much to be desired. On my Shield tablet (the only device I use), the app refuses to even search for my fan, with the exception of the first time the app is run after downloading, when it can't find the fan despite searching. On my husband's phone, the app searched for and found the fan okay, but kept refusing to connect the first dozen or so times we tried. Eventually, after resetting the fan's Bluetooth via unplugging for several minutes as the instructions state, my husband was able to get the app to connect to and operate the fan from his phone only. On my tablet, it still refuses to search for or locate the fan at all, despite the fact that I'm running an operating system well above the stated requirement. To say we are disappointed with this app, which was the primary reason we chose this fan, would be an understatement. But at least the fan itself works, and comes with a decent remote. I'm hoping this app will eventually be updated to work with more devices, like my tablet. As someone who is bedbound with a terminal condition, it would certainly help me.
As others have said the app has problems. However this does work for me in my galaxy note 8. I have had it not able to find the device but after turning location back on on my phone it went back to functioning fine. It does require pairing every time I use it but as it takes only a sec or so to do I'm not the least bothered by it. Could use an update as it was last updated in 2017 but as it's been this long I seriously doubt it will ever see one. Fans fantastic though.
