PACIFIC RIM: KAIJU BATTLE

The Pacific Rim: Jaeger vs Kaiju Battle game, powered by Qualcomm's Vuforia augmented reality technology, allows users to play as the giant Jaeger robots and fight monstrous Kaiju from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures PACIFIC RIM in a real-world environment. Using vision-based image recognition, users can set up gameplay on any flat surface and see the film's combatant characters come to life on their tablet or smartphone device. The gameplay features on-screen controls for attacking, blocking and performing special finishing moves. Join the fight!
Secondary app functionality allows users to add the Jaeger and Kaiju characters into their own photos. Take a photo from within the app interface or select from your device's photo library and add one of the giant robots or monsters into the scene. Controls for scaling, positioning, coloring and a variety of character poses allow users to customize the scene, which can then be saved or shared to social networks.

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictues PACIFIC RIM is in theaters July 12.

Only because I can't give this game less than 1 star. Did it so I could say this WORST GAME EVER GAME PLAY IS USELESS CAN'T SEE ANYTHING DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME DOWNLOADING. UNLESS YOU KNOW THEY HAVE FIXED IT SO GLAD I DIDN'T PAY EVEN THE 99¢ FOR IT

For those thinking it only has a top down view: it doesn't. When you are prompted to "choose your target", find a flat space, like a table or book you want your jaeger to fight on. Put your phone a foot apart and parallel to that surface and click OK. Then angle your phone away as down under "Jaeger and kaiju battle". Then battle!

I like it. Especially the photo tool. What I dont like is how the object youre placing with the photo tool doesn't work in a lot of pictures because you cant manipulate the y axis. You can rotate it side to side, but not up and down. Oh and the limit on the bottom is too shallow, while the top is too high.

Game puts you off the screen, buildings and debris randomly placed in nonsensical positions, the game is completely unplayable. I hate rating low as I know a lot of work goes into games and software, but this is necessary to let people know the game may not work for them.

The camera for the fight doesnt work. It works for far away and then the buildings freeze and view gets stuck

Overlays are spot-on perfect, and the action well rendered, but gameplay is far too easy...nifty though. Oh, the photo stuff is a fun idea, but its UI is laggy, and it failed to load previous photos, forcing me to take a new one.

I dont know what to rate this, because of the camera i cant give 5 stars. Everytime i try to take a picture it wont let me use the first one so i take another, after it makes me go to photo library. Then when i select the photo, the game restarts... HELP

The game crashes repeatedly over many aspects of the game. Really needs some bug fixing. Will change review when a stable release comes. Love the movie though.

MIndless quick diversion. The way you execute power moves is cool but if you miss the first one you're gonna get whacked. Neat AR demo to show off your phone.

App crashes every time I select my target for the game to use as a background. I was really expecting the web browser game, however what I got was a really poor AR game that is wasted space on my ASUS Transformer tablet.

The game is Awesome I don't really mind or care how the angle is when your fighting because I don't think it really changes how you fight it's like your the helicopter and your looking to see what's happening so I don't find the game I find it fun and easy for kids (my opinion because I am a kid :D)

The interface or software is were there are more then one image of the kaiju and jaegers so it makes game play difficult by trying to locate your character, other than that a fun game.
