Package Disabler Pro (Samsung)

It's tricky, 1) you'll have to keep buying every 3-6 months as it stops working. They'll just charge you less! 2) I've on and off using this app - different versions of it. Had to buy it twice as the previous versions (like this one disappeared or stop working). I've learned to customize which bloatware to shut. Using the default of the app can cause some glitches. Overall with customizing what you don't want, does extremely well for as long as the app lasts!

Used it for many years, but now it doesn't work and it's been a nightmare to get a response. Continue to get canned responses over and over. Paid for the app originally in Play Store and then again recently on their website. The standalone version doesn't work with Android 11. They want me to download the cloud version which is a yearly subscription. Also, no place to enter discount code. Continue to contact them and still no response to my questions. Will change this review if resolved.

The app works as expected on my Galaxy S9 with Android 10. A little disappointed that I needed to buy this app again after the developer changed the name and the old version no longer being updated and not working on anymore. Would be a five star if not for that. One last point, it doesn't seem to be able to disable packages inside of the secure folder, but that might be a limitation of Knox.

UPDATE: I uninstalled the old version of the app and everything that was disabled was re-enabled. I could click on them to disable again, so I guess that fixed one issue. I emailed my receipts to the dev as requested, but got no response. --------------------------------------------------- After paying for this app a second time, I can no longer re-enable services that I previously disabled. I uncheck the box, close the app, and the box is still checked when I open it again. I would give the app 5 stars if I could get a refund for the second payment and if they'd fix the re-enabling issue.

Yes!! Finally, can disable OS update without root! Thank you so much. I really didn't want to upgrade my OS beyond 8.0, and my phone kept pushing the notification, and recently told me I can only delay it a limited number of times. Not to mention the constant notification that I couldn't get rid of. This app fixed it instantly without root, and no other compatibility issues 👍👍

It's a great app and does what it's supposed to without rooting. Been using it since Note 4. But I think this is my 3rd time buying it? I understand you keep getting taken off the store. But at least give us that paid in the past free access. The last version stopped working entirely, even tho I had it installed when it was taken off. Now I have 2 versions on the same phone lol. It's cheap, but still, it isn't fair to us loyal to you.

Great on android 10 - not so great on One UI 3. Bought it for my S20 Ultra (T-Mobile) and did everything like it was supposed to. Once I upgraded to android 11 with one UI 3 i have not been able to use it anymore. Contacted the dev team and they said i could buy it directly from them so I did but still didn't work. Happy when it worked but now I can't use it after paying $2.99.

Garbage developer. App stopped working so I emailed them. You get the same canned response whenever you contact them, even if you're replying to a previous message. A live person finally wrote back and they blamed the Play Store for the problem. They said they could only support the app for 6 months. I sent them a receipt showing I had purchased less than 6 months before and at that point never heard anything back. App is great when it works, don't know why the developer treats it like a scam.

Stopped working with no warning, no remedy. Started with a weird screen saying to retry a bunch of times but it quickly closes itself and briefly displays a message about not being able to validate. I've paid for this app three times for different phones over the years and found it super helpful; now very disappointed and sadly unable to recommend or continue using it myself.

It works fine, I've had to re-purchase it whenever I change/upgrade to a new Samsung phone; and each time I have to buy it again. NIT GOOD. Usually after about 6 months the app refuses to open if I wish to make changes. This is because the developer wants us to keep buying the app. I am not sure why Google allows this behavior to go on with as many people complaining about the behavior of the developer. I wish I could find another app to be able to disable Bixby and usual Samsung bloatware.

Great app, works really well (no root). Turn off all features you don't use, saves battery & system resources. If your'e unsure of what a particular package is or if you should disable it, instantly search the web for more info from within the app in one button press. Highly recommended. Must have app for security, and to conserve system resources.

STOPPED WORKING. SCAM. ==== Samsung was trying to pressure me into updating Android, even though I knew it would break one of my apps. With PDP, I was able to turn off the constant notifications and reminders. Bonus: There are apps which I use, but which have no "exit" button. I used to have to go to settings->apps to turn them off. Now I have those apps flagged as "widget" on this app. There's a widge for my home screen. I just press it twice (block and unblock), and they are turned off!

Was a great app, but I've paid for it several times throughout the years and on each occasion, it's only lasted a few months and then the developers scrap it and bring out another version which basically does the same thing, I don't mind paying for this app, even though I've purchased it in all it's versions several times up to now, I just wish that the app would continue to function on a more permanent basis, rather than having it fail after several months and having to pay for it again.

ALERT, ALERT This app, will only work for 1 year, then you must buy it again. There are better options out there. I have two different apps, one changed the name with plus on the end so it seems the app is canceled every year, then re-released under similar name. As this is not written anywhere in the purchase agreement, I will be contacting Google Apps to find out how this is possible. Mine expired after 7 months. In this case they will help with the problem but after a year, too bad.

What a great app! Super simple to use - just tick the items you want to disable and they turn off. I had to turn Facebook Installer back on in order to install something, so I unticked it, installed my app, then ticked it again. Worked immediately with no restart required. Not sure whether it has improved performance, but from a privacy perspective I like to turn off all those Bixby/Google/Facebook processes and for GearVR it lets me use it as a cardboard headset.

This app worked great while it worked, but like many other reviews you'll see here it stops working a few weeks to a month after purchase. Emailing the developer yields an automated response asking if you've purchased it from his website or the play store. You won't hear from anyone after the initial automated response. You won't get a refund, and your app will not work again. I've been trying to find a solution for over two weeks, no word from the Developer and no refund to be seen. DON'T BUY.

I paid for the apk but the licensing system is not activating the key. It's always saying not valid key. I emailed the developer including the Google pay information but no reply. This is the second time that I paid for the software. The first time was 3 years ago for a different phone. Developers get it fixed!!! Why must you force an activation system? Why not just have a paid version and no activation required?

Had a major problem with the OMADM notification and could not disable it nor the pop up that followed. The only way to do so was to root the phone and disable it but the risk of rooting a galaxy is a road I'm not trying to take. So I tried to turn to the internet for advice and users are having the same problem for years with the slightest solution which is factory resetting the device. But if the device was rebooted the notification and popup will start again. Thanks PDP for ending the chaos.

Donot buy if you own Samsung. I requested for refund but not received. Not working at all since one month!!!! Old review :Works perfect as expected. Must buy app for Note 8 where other apps don't work. Saves my battery to almost 40% by disabling bloatwares and installed apps which I use rarely but keeps draining battery in background. Need tasker plugin support on SOS basis.

So far, so good, on my non-rooted Galaxy S7. It seems to work like it did the first time when I downloaded an app disabler a few years ago. It's been a while since I've been able to disable the bloatware, and I'm very pleased. I imagine it's a constant battle between the phone guys and app disabler guys, so keep up the good work!! Worth the $!

I paid for this app last year at playstore and it was working fine well. I was able to disable some services but now when I try to enter it, it refuses. By the way my phone is not modified in any way, its still the same way it was when the app was still working Any help would be appreciated Thank You

I think this is first time I've ever reviewed an app, or anything for that matter on the Play store. However, I feel that it's warranted to advised everyone with a Samsung device to stay away from this app. I bought this app, and convinced myself to get passed all the intrusive permission requirements. But once I saw my new Note10+ started to freakout (UI crashing, can't update apps, and over all slow downs) I deactived the admin rights and uninstalled almost a few hours later. Refund plz!

This did exactly what I needed! My Verizon LTE tablet, which isn't currently activated with Verizon, would pop up a Verizon Logon dialog box every 15-20 minutes, trying to connect to the Verizon network (even though I keep it in airplane mode). I was able to disable Verizon Login, and now no more pop-ups interupting me. Thank you!

It lists bloatware and there are boxes to check, but if you go to the drop down menu, there's no setting to disable the app you check and there's no info on how to do it. If you tap uninstall, it uninstalls package disabler pro instead of the app you checked the box for. I would appreciate some advice. Thanks

At first, it didn't work, now I've edited my review because it has started working. It works very well indeed and does the job. I'm very happy with the application and how it handles things. I have GS10+ and this Application disables all bloatware in one-click. No need for root access whatsoever, which makes this App probably the best compared to all of the other one's available. Thank you to the developer for making such a crucial App for Samsung devices! Many many thanks to the developers!

3rd time purchasing this app. Does not run properly at first.. Finally after several attempts its functioning. Though I'm noticing a bit of lag when typing and intermittent freezes while using browser.. Cant say for sure but device was not performing this way before install. Going to clear cache & dalvik and run system cleanup to see if it snaps back

Same problem as others. I've purchased this and it worked great, until it didn't. It seems like it has an auto deactivate built into it, so after a period of time, it no longer works and you're forced to buy it again. I've given it two chances, and both times I get the "failed to validate product key" error message. Save your money. It will work for a while and then all of the sudden it won't. It was nice while it lasted. So, save your money and stay away from this one. You'll thank me.

Hey guys, before I leave a final rating for this, I want to bring up an issue regarding the password. I never set one up for the application to begin with and now I cannot login to the app. Clearing the data isn't an option because there was never anything saved to the application. Please assist me.
