I personally think this is a must have tool for owner operators it does what it says. And after testing it on a couple of trucks it works on paccar MX Engines, Cummins and Detroit DD15 and very impressive that I can email the pdf file to the service advisor of your choice along to your self. I'm looking forward to and updates and any new products.
reads codes and live engine gauges
Use it for work very simple update with the last update it will not let me change the app to legacy mode and connect to my 2015 paclink
i have a blue fire adapter i cannot get the paclink out of demo mode
We purchased 30 units for android for our company, but they will not generate the report, when we try it gives an error code. We have tried multiple trucks and phones.
What a piece of junk DO buy it. Waste of money
I have to use it for work
I work for a Peterbilt dealership as the service writer. I use Paclink to check fault codes prior to assigning a certified tech to the job, it is helpful to "triage" when we can. Sometimes I can advise customers of the active faults when they don't have time to leave the truck, or instances where it is a MIL not a check engine light. I can also use it to obtain engine data for writing repair orders. It's a handy little device.
Would be nice except it keeps putting me in DEMO mode. Haven't got to fully use the device because of that
Cannot clear codes. Clearly intended as a driver toy rather than an actual tool. Better luck next time!
Minor issues works great
It connects with cummins app but not paclink
It's fairly disappointing, gauges don't work at all on a cummins or mx. Almost too basic when reading codes, no snapshot data and very basic code descriptions. Why not allow the option to delete codes? You have to drag a laptop outside with you every time after I use this due to its lack of feature. Paclink adapter is worthless at the moment.
When will an update be released so we can clear faults?
It is important to also capture mileage & VIN not just fault codes. Why would I have to use my phone's screen shot function outside of the app.
While connected it will not let me capture the screen. I would like to see the mileage/odometer reading on the same screen as the vehicle info (vin, engine etc). A print option would be help full as well.
I have used paclink tool so far it has read cat, Detroit, international, Cummins, and mx also can read chassis nodes in Paccar products and Eaton automated and also Alison transmissions great tool for a quick heads up diagnostic tool for being a field technician
It advertised that it would clear codes. The code I have is pertaining to the after treatment..aka Def. I had ran it down to just about 1/8th of a tank, then the check light or mill light depends on who you talk to came on. I connected the paclink, and told me what it was, I filled the tank and light is still on. No option to clear code on app. ????
Need to be able to be able to read inactive faults as well as real time gauge data. Also, PLEASE have update include the ability to capture all data (faults, gauges, info) by clicking capture only once and then send all data together.
Showed no faults and then hooked up DAVIE and it showed five active faults. None were 1939 faults. Also the email is in black and printing the faults is an issue. Please change background.
Gauges not running real time, does not show inactive codes.
Does not display inactive codes. All diagnostic downloads require inactive faults with time stamps. This app will not be of any use until this functionality has been added.
5.9 brings huge improvements from previous versions, active and inactive faults and number of occurrences. A must have triage tool for Paccar and Cummins engines.
Got the Paclink service adapter but will not connect to phone app. 2015 nor 2016 version
I like the reports, wish it had a few more, have difficulty clearing inactive fault codes. Program locks up occasionally.
