I get a lot of notifications that when I open do not go to the apartment mentioned in the Pop-up. My searches do not seem to take into account the filters I setup. I keep getting results for apartments outside the price range I set. It will show units with no "in-unit washer/dryer" when I have it as a setting.
You either get listings you CANNOT filter through (for size or price) or if you start with the filters, the app fails to show results. The very definition of useless. UNINSTALLED.
Hides listing sources now. It's clearly including results from Craigslist in the local area, which is why I've used it in the past, but now they completely hide where the listing came from so you can't dig up additional details manually from the usual low-quality Craigslist post itself (mandatory in high demand areas).
I think that this app is absolutely great! Shows a lot of different places, with rooms included! Also a fairly good amount of configuration options!
App not working to post. Was told to use Zumper. I have, but doesn't work to show up on padmapper the same. Am basically told to be happy with it not working properly. Used to work well.
Good searching tool with some pet peeves: sometimes places say "no info" regarding pets, but when you check out padmapper in a browser, it says "no pets." also, my searches seem to get combined sometimes in ways I don't expect. often it can be hard to return to an original search. finally, the "check availability" button automatically sends a generic message to the listing poster on your behalf, which I did not know and wish I could more easily edit on the app - but otherwise, I like this app.
In padmapper current state, it is unusable for creating listings. First, images either cannot be uploaded or are loaded in incorrect order. Second, editing the order is impossible as it will consistently say that your edits are unsuccessful. Third, if you even get to this point, posts that are successfully listed cannot be updated since it will break the whole post. Unfortunately, something on the backend has broken the app, and nothing for the past month and half has address these problems.
Really not useful. No one replied to me at all and there's way too many Airbnb ads which once you open they don't load properly. Zooming the map in and out is really sporadic and when you close a listing to look at the one next to it the map will zoom you like 8 city blocks away. And pressing the arrow keys to look at the next posting doesn't show you the next one ohsycially next to it but instead goes like an entire city over. But that's probably not possible to fix. Depends who posted first..?
This app looks nice and is a good way to compare what rental rates in your area are, but the functionality is lacking. I posted my condo for rent but PadMapper never completed the verification steps on their end so the listing never went live. Also, there isn't any way to delete your account. They only offer a "logout" option. Which is disappointing 😕.
Clicking markers shows the same apartment again and again regardless of which marker is selected, even if they're not in the same area, have to hit the top left icon to actually view the available apartments in a list. Hitting the back button exits the app instead of returning to map, which is the most annoying part. The desktop site (and possibly the app) used to cover Kijiji listings but now doesn't seem to aggregate them, as there are hundreds of apartments not being listed on here.
Unable to post ad. App hangs on the 'verifying Facebook account' screen and never completes. Also you can search for places on the web but not post. Quite obnoxious to have to rewrite out the entire ad that I've already written or start transferring files around so that I can access text through google drive). Ultimately the main problem Is I can't actually post the unit for rent.
Useful, though constant notifications for the same old apartments (at least in my city) can be annoying.
Searching for an apartment is great! Looking for places is fantastic and easy to use, but the support team doesn't respond to requests to make a listing public through the method they specify. I like this app but it renders a huge piece of it completely useless. Other than that issue, would recommend.
It's not clear on how to get things listed. Emailing them for assistance takes a long time. Searching google to find help, and it showing their site with a way to get a pad posted, and to verify via Facebook and their security algorithm, wasn't valid. I couldn't find the verification stuff on the app. They need to update their methods and reply to emails within a better time frame.
Horrible experience trying to create an account. I validated my email address and my identity with my id. The next day I went to login, and the site said my account didn't exist! Now I can't edit, view, or even delete my ad. I don't even know if it's visible. Very frustrating and unsettling.
This service is difficult to use for landlords. there's no desktop-based way to post your rentals, no automatic verification process, and while it automatically posts your unit on other sites (like zumper), you can't manage your property on those other sites. this service doesn't offer anything new that countless other rental sites already offer. That said, its a stable app and it did give us some leads.
It won't keep all the photos I upload. It randomly posts one or two out of the 8. Super frustrating. In the end, couldn't even get it to save any of my edits and the app sends me tons of emails a day trying to sell me on other posted apartments when all I want to do is post my own. Garbage app, stay away or try it if you love wasting time.
Only ok. It shows results, but filtering based on listing type is essentially useless. I searched for just houses and I get back everything else in my search as well. Also sometimes clicking on a listing on the map takes you to the details of a completely different listing.
Not effective. Submitted an apartment and the ad was pending approval for over a week. Also very annoying that renters can search on desktop/laptop, but someone posting an apartment can only use mobile. App was very buggy when posting. Lots of freezing/error notices. I do not recommend this app for posting a listing.
You guys send way to many notifications to my phone and even if i turn off all notifications you still mangane to send me some. please stop
Works fine, but I want two things: first, email me a record of my messages to landlords or keep a copy in the app. Second, warn me that the app sends a generic default message with 1 click. I expected to be able to customize the message.
Only able to post rental ad for a few days and now the app doesnt work anymore. It keeps giving error prompt that doesnt allow to publishing. It also goes to someone elses unit rental when i click through provided email link. The site is VERY glitchy and didnt work for me at all.
Filtering does work. Ads are not properly categorized. I filter to exclude houses and rooms in shared spaces and get primarily houses and rooms on shared spaces.
Worked right up until I sent in my ID. I was told I had violated their terms of service, which I definitely did not. Should have known better, I guess. Run from these scammers.
App wants you to set up with your Facebook account but doesn't "require" it. I went with the email account I actually wanted to use. Since I did that, they won't let me log back in, won't let me close my account, and don't respond to questions or attempts to get customer service. Looks a lot like they're just Phishing for personal information to sell off.
Just downloaded the app. Find the app user-friendly. Highly recommended as the app to use to find your new pad. Love it!
The map is a good idea, but from a listing perspective it leaves a lot to be desired. I can't edit from computer. Description doesn't show on computer. Don't know how your msging works, but not very well I think.
The app was easy to use, I was able to find a place to live. Something I would like to see is a reset button when typing in a city. I was curious but not interested to move there, but I kept getting listings in that area. The second is a pause button so you stop getting emails for listings you no longer need.
