Painnt - Pro Art Filters

Dreadful, awful app! It doesn't give the results indicated in the sample pictures, and each Effect takes AGES, (far too long),to apply! And EVERY edit/change you try to make also takes such a long time - so long, in fact, that it spoils your workflow, especially if you don't like the result! Dev. promises "regular" updates, but it hasn't been updated since Oct. 2017...over FOUR YEARS...and you're expected to pay nearly £10 per YEAR for the privilege, if you want the full version. Go figure!

Forgot this app existed, I've played with this since 2011, the effects were always the best, you might have to play with the settings though. Glad that it's still around and free after all these years. To make your own filter, you need to be subscribed, which is probably the most annoying, that and the watermark, but it's still free.

Just beginning to get used to predicting which filter works with which photo/painting I created. Try many styles,1 at a time to get the feel for the final look. I choose a filter I like, upload it into my pic. Then I alter the values of color quality, tones, sharpness or blurred, etc. Play around with it. Easy enough to use, great for beginners. It can be quick. I love the shared filters and art from other users and I upload to our friendly communityto enjoy (or chuckle over my masterpieces😉).

Great amazing program. There is only one major flaw. We need the ability to save the medium output files in high resolution. The effects are almost always more desirable in the lower outputs than the higher or 4k outputs, but then we are stuck with low resolution images. Can we use the effects of the lower outputs and convert into a high resolution image to be able to actually use it to print on posters for example? Its a shame to see such nice effects that are too low quality to use as a print file.... your biggest competitor recently added this function I hope you all do as well....

I'm really enjoying this app! There's so many great effects and I like that three are unlocked every day to try out. My only problems are with the photo crop feature (lines are a bit thick so I sometimes misjudge my crop borders) and the watermark. Can you make this optional without the premium package? If not, please reduce the size and make it transparent so that it's not so intrusive. Otherwise, this is a great app as far as I'm concerned! Thanks!

I Love It, but... I've spent hours on this app on my tablet, so I guess that means that I love it. Technically the app could use some feature tweaks, like allowing layers or feathering together images, applying more than one filter to an image, and most of all, a more intuitive filter / style creator (So that its less miss and more hit, especially when you pay for them.). Just one or all of the aforementioned tweaks, especially the last one, would bring this app to a much higher level. That's why I'm only giving it a 4 our of 5 stars. I'd honestly buy a lot more priority credits if I managed more what I intended when creating a filter, and got better than 10 good filters out of around 75 attempts, especially when I paid for 50 of them. Its not a deal breaker, but it sure would make me a happier customer. It would also be sensible, as in more than just a good idea, if I could sign into the Windows app without having to by it again. I Pay for Painnt every month, which I'm not complaining about, and I paid for SuperPhoto separately, which I'm not complaining about, and I pay for priority credits, so I dont understand why I have to pay for Painnt again, just to use it on my PC.

Excellent app to use free. I haven't paid for it, so I am always having to go back into pic somehow (I use built in Editor in Photos app) & crop out the watermark. The filters are quite good, very tweakable, and generally high quality. I'd suggest 2 things -- a flat purchase price <$5 and I might buy it, and also some way to preview the effect of a change w/o a render. (I have a PIxel XL, so maybe that's slowing me down?)

Can't save anything... ...even after paying nearly $10 for a year's subscription! Whatever wonderful thing you create with this is as ephemeral as a dream. There is no way to save anything or to print it. I have been seriously ripped off! I gave them a few days to fix issue. Nothing! So, I am deleting this ripoff app. Of course, I have lost my $10. But I have learned a lesson that this Developer is a ripoff!

I have been subscribed to this for years. I am not subscribing again, however, because I find that no matter what l do, my photos look nothing like the ones which are shown as examples. I am an artist, by the way. I find other app, such as Prisma, make much better photos than this does. Horrible effects, most of them are, and far too strong.

Great selection of effects - though it seems you can't tell which are free until you try using each one. Reasonable subscription cost, though. BUT: each action takes a few seconds to process which is very wearying, is bad for productivity. Can't save to external SD, which for me is also close to a deal breaker. And tapping "☑️" doesn't save, you must tap again and then select save - so unintuitive! This lost me the first few images I worked on, and sooner or later I'll forget and lose another.

DEVELOPERS: please work on the upper right section, and overlapping lines for 4k output sizes!! No matter what, the background color is quite different from the other 3, and is almost never a usable image as is. It's fine with detailed images, but 50% of the pieces I work with cannot be done at 4k because of this. Very disappointing for a paid membership. Aside from this problem, I absolutely love this app! You can upload your own effects, and the effects available with the membership are vast

This app has a lot of potential, example; it has a lot of choices within it. My opinion, and this is where my frustration has taken up residency: this app has one of the worst abilities to recognize faces, clear and very pronounced faces. It puts up a propt that says that no face was detected. You can only crop out so much of the picture before it takes away from the final product. Please work on this

Crashes constantly, effects fail, regularly will act like I didn't input a photo after I have, won't store downloaded effects outside favorites list causing you to download them again every time you want to use them; and no effects uploaded by users can be saved to favorites. If you like one of those plan to scroll through hundreds to find the one you want to use, then wait for it to download, then there's 50/50 chance it'll fail and another 50/50 chance it won't load the photo you've chosen!

After using an App that allowed me use tools by hand (user freindly) No choice to erase or highlight areas with desired options was a huge let down! This was exciting to find and couldn't hardly wait... However not having user friendly desktop tools to control how filter used was a big deal for me. Not sure if that explains well? On this app could only adjust by a sliding scale of options: not get to control the page by tools at my desk with what options were provided . Great app

This used to be my favorite App for years and years. Now you have to choose filter first, then import photo, preventing quickly trying several different looks. No longer has Oil painting, watercolor sections but groups everything into a singular category called Classic, with 500 filters. Typed in "impressionism" and got "No Results Found". Which is singular reason I paid $11 year to have. The Filters are great if you have time. Wish they would bring back the original, easy to use Painnt.

Love, love, LOVE this app. It's intuitive and easy to use. You can make amazing art in unlimited styles. Start with a photo, add a style from the library and then individualize the color, effects, lighting, hue, details and make it a masterpiece! Worth buying the whole program if you can. Unique and serious fun.

I did not find any styles I liked on particular photo, so it has not worked for my purposes But I do appreciate the prominent notice that the image is processed locally. Did not immediately delete. Will try some other photos that may be better suited to the available styles.

Usually fails to download filters, I've paid for the premium service and can only use about 1/8th of the filters because they won't download (yes, I have a connection). Definitely a 4-5 ⭐ if this was working correctly.

* Despite many known flaws and glitches, there have been no updates to app in nearly three years! * Overpriced subscription only works for one device -- paying for premium version on phone does not give same version on computer. * So, you pay *again* to get the premium version on your computer, only to discover that it's missing several functions found on phone. * Frustrated, you contact the developers, only to discover they are completely unresponsive. (Maybe related to #1 above?)

it freezes way too much. On top of that, everytime I try to edit the sliders, my picture just vanishes and the screen all becomes one color. right now I'm receiving an infinite load on the filter i'm trying to use. Also if I may, most of these filters, the finsl product that comes out is completely lack luster (splotches are seen, color loss) sometimes it feels like the lesser quality renders are far more prettier to look at than the 4k versions, heavy technical improvements are needed.

Awesome app! It is so fun and addicting! The range of artwork filters is more than enough to entertain yourself for hours, even the free version. The community is awesome too, you can scroll through artworks of all other users and leave comments ❤. The app runs without problems and once you get used to adjusting the filters, it doesn't take long before your page is full of your own masterpieces. One of two apps that I spend too much time editing pictures with, on a daily basis! 😍💛👏🌻⭐

oh my gosh!!! this is sooooooo much fun! you will find yourself getting lost time wise because ya dont want to stop! well worth the download *Free** and if later you decide to purchase other apps? you can! but!!! you have soo much to work with! incredible coloring options with the use of different artistic impressions! you can be a picasso!! try it!

Before I bought the year subscription to unlock the high res images the shakespear Filter looked great on the low resolution preview but after unlocking and using it on high resolution strange ugly un-natural patterns started showing up in the images like big X and (o) type patterns which make the images unusable. Also they look ok on a tiny previw window but when you zoom in, even on high resolution they become very pixelated and weird. Not good especially if you need to print the images.

excellent tool for converting photos into 'painted/drawn' style images, looking to get a photo converted and printed on canvas with that more 'thought out' style then this is the perfect tool for the job. hundreds of pre-programmed styles to choose from which can then be tweaked to your own preferences, but if you want your image without the painnt logo, make your image slightly bigger then crop the bottom off with your regular picture editor app 😉

Love my Mobile App, but when I had to pay another more expensive fee to use it on my laptop, was stupid, when I already had an account paid for, but also very annoying right now is I saved over 300 favorites on the windows version, and I had planned on using batch editing(that is why I wanted the windows version) anyways, I closed it on my laptop, next day opened it up and every single favorite is gone. But when i go back into save the favorites it says I already have them, but it says zero in favorites. Then all of a sudden it said I had 324 favorites, but not one of them are showing, when you click on see more, goes to categories and no favorites showing, so frustrated and confused, I emailed customer service and have not heard back. This is my business, this needs taken care of.

Being an artist I love to create, this is a Excellent app! So much to offer.. NP about the ads. Some ads are helpful. I appreciate all this app offers. Its perfect. I Love it! You'll love it! easy to use, use it for hours it's in a great way addictive! Thank you!!

I am really impressed with the app. I highly recommend it, my only issue with the app is that hte pictures don't look exactly the same after saving. I edit the picture to my taste and after saving it changes a bit. Especially if I use Smooth ans Wash options. Anyone have a clue how to fix it?
