Every Paleo person I know has said this to me within the first three sentences of what is paleo and what is not "Peanut Butter is not Paleo" the other one is "Corn is not paleo". Whoever did this app could not be on the paleo diet since peanut butter was listed in the forth recipe that I looked at. Sadly ... I will have to uninstall this or analyze the meal plans and take them with a grain of salt or perhaps sea salt.
I love this app. Been using it for 5weeks. Meals are great and easy to make. I started this plan to start living a healthier lifestyle as I have been having problems with my stomach. The weight loss was just a bonus. Yes the first 2 days for me was a bit of a detox. I followed the beginners plan and felt so much better after 5 days. The meals as small as they seem keep me going all day and I sometimes even skip my snack or supper because I am just to full. On the weight side I lost 4kg within 2weeks, 6kg after 3weeks and after 4 weeks I lost 7kg. I currently have lost 8kg. My staying weight was 101kg and am now on 93kg. Friends and family have also started the plan and are also boasting nice weight losses.
It's apparently designed to make u lose 5.7kg a month based on ur profile, wich you have no control over. And its all in metric, so if ur not handy w conversions, u pretty much can't use it. It needs an options menu.
I have been doing paleo for a year now and each day i discovered things i could and couldnt eat. Some concerns in this app. Esp the fact it contains foods that are not supposed to be consumed on this diet like deli meats and peanut butter. Also there is way too many eggs and only coconut oil and pure lard or ghee should be the only fats allowed and a limited amount of olive oil. The creators obviously haven't done their research. Big fail!!!
I've been doing a lot of research on different diets and settled on paleo. I'm new to it and I have a hard time planning meals week by week. This app helps take the guesswork out of the equation. I do encourage any one wanting to go paleo to research the diet in order to develop a good foundation of what the diet actually is. One thing about this app I wish to know is whether or not it refreshes it's listing of recipes in order to keep monotony at bay.
Anyone who has done their research in the paleo diet would know that 1. Eggs are suppose to be limited. 2. Canned meat/fish is a no no 3. Deli meat is also a no because of its high sodium content. This "meal plan" consists of eggs everyday almost. The paleo diet book doesn't recommend more than 5 per week. Also , olive oil at every meal isn't a good balance of omega 3 to omega 6. Vinegar is also not a part of the diet. You fail. Do some research.
And simple minded then this is the app for you. Simple proteins, a few veggies and nuts and low carb berries along with coconut milk or almond milk and voilá you have this app's version of paleo. I'd give it two stars if it didn't scroll slower than a snail crawl
I've been a type 2 diabetic for 22 years and have easily maintained a weight of 116-119lbs (not to mention a total cholesterol ranging from 90-101). I've done this by eating <24 gms carbs a day. (organic eggs, bacon+butter on MASSIVE scale). Anyway, the food was great, but I was starving AND my sugars went crazy for the 9 days i was on it. I had to go back to my regular low carb diet. (and yummy fat:) it does work for those who wanna lose weight. (cuz starvation diets work for everyone). Uninstalled.
I have been thinking of starting the diet and thought this was a handy resource, esp when shopping. But i can never read a whole minute without having to deal with pop up ads. I would have to stop and X out the ads then it brings me back to the app but back at the very beginning part of the page, and not where I left off, EVERY SINGLE TIME!! It only happens with this app. The caption at the bottom of the ad states: "ads by Google". So irritating, so I am deleting it. I will find my info some other way.
Peanut butter is not Paleo, deli meats, and so much more about this drove me crazy as soon as I started reading it! Most of the meals are ridiculously small and you'd starve if you followed this. Also, vegetables are supposed to be prominent in each meal and they rarely are on this app. Also, have someone proofread, "neeeded", really? Very disappointed in this app.
Is not format it correctly on the Galaxy Note 2. Cannot read half of the cards
I was on paleo diet for over a year and a half and switched to bodybuilding carb cycling diet for a year but it didn't work well for me. This app is good for beginners and those who stopped paleo for a while. Good job y'all 👍
This is a really good app for people wanting to start out. Im sure its not the "strictest" of Paleo's food lists, but as i am starting i find it very handy and very simple! And simplicity is always good in an app.
I've been thinking of starting paleo and I found this app the easiest one from all paleo apps out there. Its very good for a starter.
Doesn't have THAT much variety for long term use. But it's way to slow and glitchy.
Doesn't want too many concerning permissions, I've never noticed the app running when I wasn't using it. It's pretty slow and glitchy, though. The menu integration is great, though I'm doing paleo with only eating lunch and dinner, without snacks, so I wish that when generating the menu, you could select which meals/snacks to include.
Menus are almost identical. No recipes as promised. Can't create profile...no option. It's really a very basic plan that lacks imagination. "150g meat and 170g of veg" really doesnt say much. Will up stars when improvements are made.
It would be better if it wasnt all in grams and you could replace what you dont eat such as avacado which is in most of the meals.
Downloaded this app because I wanted a nutrition plan for muscle building and fat loss. Sooo.. All tho it may not meet my protein standards a little recipe tweaking and it will be A . OK lol
This would be awesome if I could change it to ounces and also take some foods out.
No recipes, thats what I was looking for. At least it's free because I was totally disappointed.
Very informative and great for newbies like me trying to get this paleo diet right. Shopping lists are very helpful if your a man like me who doesn't know where to begin at the grocery store.
This gives you meal plans for the diet, but no real info on what foods to eat and avoid. I found much better apps to install instead.
Would like a way to set up a profile with measurement preferences. Shopping list is great but since a lot is fresh produce you can't always do a 14 day list. Food doesn't last that long
I must be missing something because they're are no recipes to actually make food just a list of stuff to eat... Could be better.
Okay for people who love to spend hours in the kitchen and have no clue what paleo is
Everything you need is right at your fingertips. Don't complain about the ads. That's why the app is free. It's totally worth it.
My friend told me about this app and it is awesome. I don't even gave to stress over what I can and can not eat. It is wonderful. Please keep up the great work. A+++++
Peanuts are verboten in a paleo regime. Also, by coconut milk, do they mean coconut water. Coconut milk is for desserts. And almonds are paleo (in small quantities), almond milk not so much - not pure and one would be consuming too much of the equivalent in actual almonds in a serving. This app is only useful if one already knows how to eat paleo and wanted easy menu plannning and knows how to substitute ingredients.
