Functional. Could be quicker. Can only upload one photo at a time. Sometimes I have multiple photos for one section in the report and uploading each one individually can be a pain/time consuming. Also drop down comments are limited and changing one section can affect many other sections which isnt intended and frustrating . Picture quality is not great, sometimes I upload pics and you cant see what I'm referring to, due to poor upload quality.
The app takes sometime to get used to. It is a powerful software. The main customer serve person makes you feel he has something better to do. There were a time span in the past I called approximately 6 times in 1 1/2 months left messages did not get a call back. I did finally get a text. By the time I got the text I finally figured out the problem on my own. Customer serve phone skills need improvement at Palm Tech Home Inspection Software.
Do not download if you use a S10 or Note 10. The last update by Android (January 2020) made it to where it will not save photos taken through the App into the gallery. There are a number reasons why you'd want a copy saved in the gallery. This problem is disappointing enough to have to have gone through over a month, with tech support knowing of the issue. What puts this experience over the top in terms of negative is that Palm Tech the company is not putting resources into fixing the problem
First of all 21 years as a Home Inspector hands down!!!....Palm Tech is better than it's competition. The upgrades come regularly and are priced more than fair. Seeing is believing...try the demo is all I can say. As far as tech support goes...Adam and Dominic are very knowledgeable and in my case extremely patient!!! Palm Tech is so bad it has literally destroyed my business. I have a report due and the program is messing up again. DO NOT BUY THIS PROGRAM!
I been using palm tech for three years. This is one of the best home inspection report software money can buy. Very easy to write reports and easy for customers to read and understand. Tech support go out of their way to help.

Rarely have issues with the app. Occasionally freezes and need to restart app so I periodically save report to ensure I don't lose anything entered. Overall one of the better inspection apps available.
This app works great. Use it on every inspection I perform
I have used PalmTech since 2002, never had an issue. I do miss the drop down menus that were in Pocket PC because it was faster. It would be nice if you could arrange the order of the photos within the program without having to delete them and start over....Also, being able to add a "text box" to each photo so you wouldn't have to search for a clear area on the photo and choose a contrasting font color would be nice. For those of you who have taken photos of an Asphalt Shingle up close, you know what I'm talking about......

My inspectors and I have been using PalmTech for years. Love it! Great support! Easy to get help. Fast and friendly staff. Well worth the investment for multi platform inspecting. We use Android or ios in The field and then Windows to proof read and do pdf conversions. I've occasionally submitted reports from the app on site when returning to the office wasn't an option. On site delivery is simple and effective. I'll continue to use!

I see nothing positive with V. 8. How do I revert to 7 on my mobile devices?
I am not impressed with the software. Its sluggish, lags, freezes. The UI needs some serious work. Why in the world do I have to tap/hold in order to select? Missed your section, continue holding and wait for it to come back around. If you don't want to use the tap and hold method you can double click and use the "drop down" menus, but even that is terrible and not user friendly. Why can't I just have everything on one screen with drop down menus? For instance I click on lots and ground, double click driveway to get to the drop down portion and I have to have a dedicated screen for driveway, hit next (wait a second), walks hit next (wait a second), steps hit next. On the screen where are these items on listed vertically there should be drop down menus for A,NP,NI, etc and te box portion should have a drop. Tap and hold or double tap to select is not user friendly and adds time to an inspection.
Works as advertised. Very stable. Very flexible. Excellent tech support. We've been using it for 12 years. Would like to know when the next update is. Haven't heard much from Palm-Tech technical people lately.
The Palm-Tech software has increased my ability to deliver reports to next day from 2 days.

So glad it crashed after a year. What a waste of time and money.
I've been using this for three years and I've gotten it customized to the style of inspection and report I want. There's many confusing things about the program, but once you get your head around it, it's fairly easy to use. Just remember to make changes on the desktop app, save the template AND library, and upload them to the cloud. Then download the template AND library to your portable device. It took me way too long to get that.
