Moreover I like this app very much!!! But, the disappointing one is the swipe & share. It works normally but It is not playing long duration videos, When I swipe long duration videos It says "CONNECTION FAILED". Why i say this because I went my uncle's house they are having an other brand LED TV, that tv brand also having this kind of App. That app works without any issue with no buffering. So that, I feeling this as a major issue for me.. Anyway fix this ASAP!!!
Fantastic in principle but poorly executed. It would be really useful if the screen mirrored the layout of the remote control ( or at least have the option). Having to flip through screens is really annoying. SO you use the arrows keys then have to flip back four screenshot get to the OK button then back again. Aarrgghh! Please have the facility to display the TV guide on the app. Include the ability to jump a page at a time (using channel Up / Down button) like every other remote control configuration on the market (unfortunately, lacking in the current setup of the Panasonic remote control)
Used this app a lot in the past few months after i lost my tv remote, but lately i had some problems with the connection and today it decided not to connect at all! I am quite mad since I tried other apps and they can connect, so the problem is not the TV but the app. I loved this app for its simplistic yet complet service, but now I am forced to switch to another...I hope there is something to do about it.
Why is it so bad? (Genuine question.) Very much worse than the real remote control, when it should be much more useful and versatile. The main thing I want do is type in order to search Netflix, etc, but literally nothing I type appears in the app, let alone transfers to the telly. The app says 2014 so I figured it's redundant but here (in the Play Store) it says last updated 2018, so what's going on? Anyway, do download it, but only as a last resort if you don't have a working real remote.
Useless 90% of the time. The TV is there to select but u can't select it. So you delete it n start again you think. But no. The only device it finds is test mode. Then randomly a week later it'll work once or twice then it'll stop again. So useless and pointless. I hope the developers aren't involved in the space program, healthier or organising drinking sessions in breweries.
This app when it works is great and couldn't be beaten but for some unknown reason it doesn't last, The only way I know how to make it work again is to uninstall the app, then reinstall it again and then activate it. A most agrivating point is their is a little red button when touched glows red and switches the TV on but when it comes to sending a movie to the TV it informs me there is no conection but touch the glowing button again will switch the TV Of ? no connectivity ??.
It takes ages to load when it loads. Sometimes it opens right away. My Android phone is not old and supports many heavy apps. It's very poorly developed. Doesn't work as it should. It should load the app and then show something scanning the local network (it's the same LAN and it's fast, gigabit switch and good access point to one network) and with a status, no UI best practices at all. A splash screen with "Panasonic" taking so long to disappear is very annoying.
Absolutely excellent. It does everything my remote does (or did until the ok button decided to work part time) only better!! I love how easy it is to navigate through the menus and options. Works beautifully with my Panasonic Viera. I use it a lot for youtube and media player. I'm super happy with this app!!
This app is not updated from last 3 years, There is no one to look after it. Remove this app from play store as soon as possible, the app was working last year, this year app doesn't detect my same panasomic tv, its not my problem only, you can read too many negative comments about this app that doesn't connect anymore...
Only app, which works with 58HX80. It's ugly, but functional. To enable power on/off from the app: MENU > Settings > Network > TV remote app > set Home streaming to “always” and set Allow power to "yes"
Have been using for years (on HTC phones, and now OnePlus). Brilliant when the misses falls asleep on the remote and I can't be bothered to move! Great functionality, and much quicker for opening TV apps than using the TV remote. Love the media swipe to open for quick viewing/listening.
Why no close button? Force quit is the only way to close the app. Otherwise, works okay. Not the most intuitive and an option to customise layout would be nice. Clearly developed years ago as a basic remote control, and no one has been maintaining this app to keep up with modern requirements of smart tvs.
It's OK. Layout is confusing at times and what should be obvious controls are somewhat buried. No normal way to exit the app. Force closing it seems a little extreme...but is what they recommend
easy to install but not necessarily to do what you wanted to do. it showed some but not all videos on my tablet. was very hit and miss sekecting then actually playing them - the default was to pointlessly play what was on the TV on the tabet. It brought up a lotof jpeg photos but then said that they were not playable. very little help, none of which was useful.
Works just like the physical remote control. Only slight complaint is that when I close the app, continues to run as a small icon at the top of the screen. Can only close it by using "force stop" command. Panasonic TV remote 3 app seems to have fixed that problem
This app is extremely poor, I'd have expected more from Panasonic! The app feels very dated, poor connectivity with TV and just doesn't seem to operate as expected. Such a shame as the idea is great but execution could be improved upon.
Unable to view TV in app. Connection is intermittent, not stable. UI design needs improvement. The voice control is suprisingly good. After a while it stopped working!!! It just can't find my TV.
I use this for the smart calibration tab, which is so much easier than going through the tv menus. I can see why other people would rate it poorly as a remote control...but my TV already came with two remotes.
It works the first time, but won't reconnect to my tv after the 1st time, so I have to keep uninstalling it and reinstalling it. On the plus side though, it's the only remote that I have found that works for my tv
One star is too much - it indeed deserves zero stars or minus points. The worst UI I have seen... Layout and functionality is non intuitive to say the least. There is no way to easily sort files or browse folders. You can wonder how something so simple can be made in such a bad way. And it has Panasonic name to it. Avoid.
Installed it to try to show photos on the TV. The interface is really hard to use and it the photos have to be pushed manually one by one. There was no way to browse by folder.
When I first downloaded the app it was working perfectly and then all of a sudden it stopped working and now it won't connect to my TV. Please help Update 6/7/20 - it's working fine now. However voice command not responding properly ⭐⭐⭐⭐ new rating
Could've been better. Please add live TV feed panel in the app, so that we can remotely control our TV from blindspots. The keyboard input to TV doesn't seem to work and it's one of the main reason I looked for an android remote. Also need a button to quit the app.
Not only this app, ever it's previous version too failed to detect my Panasonic 65GX500DX. I do not know in what way, the TV is called as Mary TV, as there's no voice control feature, no apps could be installed, no casting directly from my android mobile phone, and above all, no software update available, nothing... If the company really wants customer base, they need to get these things going....
Ez65950 only connects 50% of the time on remote 2, but is better than the Panasonic remote 3 which just crashes all the time. Also you have to force stop it as it won't shut down. Maybe it's time for another go Panasonic and try Remote 4?🤣 Just copy some of the universal remote apps out there as they work better than the ones from Panasonic. Go figure!!!👎
Nice to have since my original remote's LEDs have to be pointed various directions away from the TV screen for some reason. However, Android on the phone tells me this app is using battery. Four stars instead of five stars due to battery use. Fortunately the actual remote does still change channel and volume, so I don't have to use the app very much.
