App is a very true representation of the board game. The sound effects and music are all well designed to make you feel the tension the game creates. My one issue is the movement. Before the latest version, the drive/ferry was automatic. Having to confirm the selection now is just silly and takes you out of the zone for a moment. Please revert movement back to old standby.

Love being able to play this when I can't get with friends. Please revert to the previous movement set-up, however. Used to, when you moved one city away, the game assumed you drove/ferried and moved you. Now it makes you confirm even though there's no better option. Conversely, the game used to confirm that you wanted to spend a city card for a flight, unless there was no other way you could reach the destination. Now it just takes your card without asking, even when there were better options.

Previously great game, now nearly impossible to escape - there's no easy way to quit the app from a menu item, and when I try to bring up the native OS buttons to leave it that way, it just keeps opening the options menu... This is on a Google Pixel 4a 5g. If you're also having this problem, the only workaround I've found is to take a screenshot and then choose to "edit" when the image comes up so you can jump to the photo editing app.

Great game but I ran into two issues with the app. 1. The game actually glitched and one character drew a card that was already in the hand of someone else, so she lost it, which messed up my whole strategy and made me doubt if I could trust the game would let me keep my cards. 2. You can't choose which card to discard for the operations expert when moving from a research station to any city. You have to use the first card in your hand. This also messed me up cuz I wanted to keep that card.

Love the game but you can't randomize which player is in which seat, you can't opt out of the game automatically zooming in constantly without opting out of the map following the movement altogether and you have to constantly approve every move your characters make even though you have a completely free and unlimited undo button. This app used to be great but has gotten worse and worse over time.

I have played the game in the app quite a bit over the last few weeks. It was thoroughly enjoyable. The controls were intuitive, graphics were pleasing, gameplay was smooth. I was shocked by today's update! The new graphics layout doesn't fit on my device screen, the buttons are so tiny that I can't select anything with any accuracy, and the controls are illogical. Please, I beg you...abandon this absurd, useless update immediately! Go back to the previous version.

This game was perfect. Tight match to the board game, clean, elegant graphics and efficient UI. I play it a few times a day, it helps reduce my stress. (That's an embarrassingly large number of hours. Usually on legendary with 3-4 diseases eradicated) This new UI is amazingly bad. Even if it wasn't buggy, it's quite ugly, distracting and inefficient. I don't need to see a moving avatar of my character while I think through my turn. I don't need the delays between each response to my tap. I could get past ugly if it's efficient, but it is not. I tried a few times, then gave up. I uninstalled it, and will continue to play the old version for as long as I am able. Just to be clear: Version 1.1.32 was *perfect*. No room for improvement. 5+ stars. This new version is unplayable.

Have played this game for a few years, it was awesome. I can't play it anymore with the update. It doesn't fit on my screen, the disease cubes are difficult to see against the background, controls are confusing, and every turn and action now goes super, super slow. It's terrible, please bring back the old version. Update: was excited to see an update available. Nothing has been fixed. Remains a 1 star.

I love this game, but there are a few of bugs. Firstly, sometimes I'm unable to see my players' cards, the toggle stops working. i have to reload the game to get it back. Secondly, the sound effects sometimes cut out or go glitchy. And thirdly, and most annoyingly, I cannot ever look at my unlocked achievements without the app completely shutting down. This really needs to be fixed, because the main reason I play is to gain the achievements, and I can't ever see what I've gained at all.

I've literally played the previous game hundreds of times. I really enjoyed it. The latest update made me feel as though I'd gone to an early beta release. It doesn't fit on my screen. The font feels as though it has defaulted to a basic system font. The overall look feels less cohesive. Some elements of the interface are now tiny on a phone screen. It is much slower and chunkier than the previous version. All my achievements seem to have vanished. How do I downgrade to the previous version?

Used to be a great game but awful after the latest update. I had a lot of fun playing the challenging well crafted app that was a good reflection of the board game. The app is unplayable after the update. The sound effects are clunky, the animations are distracting, and the visual layout is confusing. It seems like you can now only play with 2 characters instead of 4 which limits the challenge and variability of game play. After 10 minutes of frustration I uninstalled the app. Sad!

Just auto-installed an undocumented update. It was a step backwards. Interface had been almost perfect. Now, the ability to choose between move options is gone. For example, when I want to move the Operations Expert from a Research Station to a new city, the game takes a card automatically; it doesn't give me the option to select which card I want to use. Very poor decision. Please go back to previous interface.

I love the board game so I bought this. Was a bit skeptical thinking the game play wouldn't be anything like the actual game. I WAS WRONG! I absolutely love it and have been playing maybe a bit too much! The only issue I've encountered is sometimes the option to view all players' cards disappears. If I close the app and then reopen- the problem is fixed!

The board game is very well ported to mobile, graphics are good and gameplay is smooth and straightforward. Lost one star because the menu interface is unintuitive, it took me a long time to figure out how to change the difficulty. I would prefer to set the difficulty as I'm starting a game rather than having a separate menu outside of game set-up.

Dan. S. May 4, 2020

New UI is awful - it takes longer to play the game and it's nearly impossible to get it to change the route you take from one place to another because the arrows are too small. It's also more difficult to see when a city has 3 cubes on it. The graphics are 3d now - wow! But it doesn't help the gameplay in any way and makes it less fun. Taking this down to one star because now I can't play without it crashing.

Dim. U. Apr 12, 2020

This a wonderfully strategic game to play with great replay value if you are into boardgames. The recent update has some improvements, but also drawbacks. It calculates all the routes which you can take to reach a destination, which is useful but it is difficult to switch to the desired one ( the arrows are too small). The most annoying issue is the inability to turn off all the sounds. I would still recommend this game, but the user experience would be improved if these issues were fixed.

It used to work great. Now it doesn't. So sad it used to be one my favorite game apps. I have a Samsung Tab 4 and stopped loading and playing. Later I tried it on Samsung Galaxy S9. It runs but it is too busy, too many lights and flashes and it doesn't fit on the screen. I can't select menus to do anything. So the new implementation is junk. I wish I could have the old version. They should offer two version that you can install. The old version was efficient and tranquil, near perfect.

Gin. J. May 25, 2020

Review Update: with the updates made since the April release, game play is better, but not good, and i would not recommend anyone purchase it. I can barely read the cards and writing, the graphics are flashy and unnecessary. There are times i click on the same move three or four times before the game recognizes my move. The screen is crowded. UI is less intuitive. Progress moved backward. I keep hoping that Asmodee will revert back to the old version. At some point I will just delete this game.

J. U. Apr 15, 2020

The new update is glitchy, especially difficult to move due to screen not responding and too many unnecessary buttons. The previous move functions were much better. As an operations expert I should be able to discard any card to move from a research facility, but the arrows to select the type of move don't work. Also I don't like that to see the rule book it takes you out of the app. Please go back to the old version. The only new feature that's good is selecting how many players. :..(

Boz. H. Oct 11, 2020

This version has a lot of improvements which are cool. But it also is quite buggy and has removed some features. For example viewing the discard pile at any time incuding and especially when there is a choice to be made. Same for scrolling the map to see where the current Hotspots are. Especially when there is a dialogue box up. Its kind of too cute by half. Still very fun to play though.

Gle. K. Jun 15, 2020

The previous version was much more intuitive. It was easier to see which cards had been discarded (either player cards or city cards) in the previous version. Another confusing aspect occurs when one wants to make either a direct flight or a charter flight; it makes no sense to show all possible routes. One then needs to sort through the cards to select the appropriate city card. Also, more clarity is needed in trading cards. Hard to tell who gets what. The new graphics aren't as helpful.

Jos. H. Apr 9, 2020

Edit 4/8/2020... why did you change the interface? The recent update to the game has made this more difficult to play as far as control goes. Several elements do not appear on the screen correctly. This game matches the original card game very well. For new players it can be difficult. Expect to lose a few games. Once you get used 2 figuring out what cards players have, positioning yourself in creating research stations, and manipulating card play, you will definitely start winning games.

Eri. B. Apr 18, 2020

The new user interface is abysmal. It is so much more complicated than it used to be. Moving is so much more difficult and time consuming. Sharing knowledge just lists all cards that can be exchanged, regardless of direction. It was so much simpler when you could just specify give/take before showing the cards. Overall, just a terrible and nearly unplayable update.

Jay. V. Jul 30, 2021

I love this game, but the latest version is so buggy, it repeatedly gets stuck with no menu, no way to continue. It's so frustrating to spend 20 minutes on a game, only to have to quit and start it all over when it freezes. EDIT: While some improvements are added with this update, the gameplay is actually worse! Why should I have to verify every individual space I move twice??? It's SO annoying!

T.. S. M. May 6, 2020

The update makes this game terrible. I loved the previous version of Pandemic, more, it has been updated to the "Switch" style of UI. A terrible choice. This game used to be better, now it is basically unplayable slow. The map looks better, but the usability has been reduced to nearly zero. The old version was a much faster game play with all of the needed information visible at any moment easily. Excepting the bug that forced restart sometimes, the game was far better before you changed it. The big picture is that game is now about 100% slower than it was. I have the Switch version, but I gave that up to play the phone version, now it has chased me down like a bad curse, and - comically - it has done so during a real pandemic that would give me some time to play it.

Ore. K. Apr 16, 2020

Before the update, this was a terrific implementation of a terrific game, but the update has made it unplayable. It's really not a good look for a digital app when it's less of a hassle to play the physical copy than the digital, but that's what it's come to. I had been hoping for the other expansions to be added to the app, but unless the UI is completely fixed I wouldn't bother.

All. D. Apr 20, 2020

Used to be perfect but has become basically unusable since the update. Text is too small, training mode seems to be perpetually turned on, it takes way too many moves to confirm a single turn, and the constantly moving graphics are distracting. The old version was much truer to the board game and had a clean, intuitive UI. Please tell me there's a way to roll my version back to the previous one!

Eug. M. Dec 3, 2020

I really enjoyed the older version of the game. The new update has made gameplay more tedious. The screen is much busier now than it used to be, and even basic movement has way more steps than necessary. Every update resets everything and it forces me back into the tutorial. Edit: It's still buggy with the newest issue being that every time I use the Event cards, it leaves the description of the card on the screen. And there are still intermittent game crashes.
