It works for middle range ok. Low range may be off but the adds stop the tuner from working every 3 or 4 sec. Very small adds so hard to hit the x and end up pulling up the adds instead of turning them off. I don't have enough time to get the note before another add pops up and pauses the tuner. This makes me go past the note since it is longer listening or responding.
This is the best tuning app available, period. I've used it for several years, but I was surprised when I went to pick up my once-in-my-lifetime custom classical guitar that the luthier, who makes instruments for world renown guitarists, was also using it! Inexperienced musicians may find the precision in tenths of a cycle per second frustrating, since the tone of musical instruments is not constant unless they are digital. But, this is the best.
This used to be my favorite tuner. Now there seems to be some adjustment to microphone sensitivity that is not working well for me. I'm sitting in a quiet room with an unplugged electric guitar and it will not pick up the sound of the strings unless the body of my guitar is basically touching the phone. This thing used to pick up notes from across the room but now barely picks up my guitar?? I saw some reviews where people complain about it being too sensitive. Maybe make that adjustable??
I love this tuner! It would be 5 stars, if I could adjust the sensitivity of the microphone. This thing picks up the air conditioning vent noise (which runs right between B and Bd by the way). As long as I'm louder it's no issue, but add in a few people talking, other instruments tuning up and sound checks, it becomes impossible to use. It's the only online tuner that can read my low B string as a B as well. Edit: still looking for that microphone sensitivity addition to this app.
This came recommended by a YouTube harp coach, and I have to say, it's much easier to use than the black thingy in the harp cover bag with green and red flashy lights! Also nice that u don't need to replace batteries. It was a little hard to work out at first which way the dial turns, so, intuitively, for me, sharp would be to the right, flat to the left..? And the note names... So, read the note names to work out if you're going sharp or flat! From one Dummy to perhaps one other, out there...
gets the job done. interface makes it pretty easy. dont have to select your tuning, tunes to all notes. works well enough for quatertones if you can figure it out.
Doesn't seem as consistent as Guitar Tuna. Even fan sound can affect its tuning. Sometimes it responds and sometimes it is stuck. Erratic tuner for me. Expected it to be a lot better and even purchased it. Dissapointed
Recommended by my teacher as a good tuning (free) app. The color coded "in tune" (green) or "not in tune" (red) work well to tune 36 strings (harp) quickly and effortlessly.
As long as you dont have too much background noise it works. If what you're tuning is the loudest thing in the room this is reliable. I was able to tune my guitar with a tv playing in the background if i just kept striking the string. Dont know what more you could ask for. You could also sing into it to see if you're too flat like me.
This tuner app hasnt left my phone. Its the first thing I install on every device. It has never failed me. Never crashed. Never gonna stop using it! and its free, the worst part is me not buying the full version after 2+ years of it
This tuner was my favorite. I actually purchased the premium subscription because the microphone works better. (Miraculously, I know.) But it's only two bucks. The premium subscription was canceled twice without my approval. At least I got my money back. Twice. 💰
I'm a beginning hammer dulcimer player, and I think it works really well for my level and experience. I dont know enough about music to say much more, but I think my instrument sounds fine after tuning to this app.
Used to work great but then Google had to go and add an advertisement banner across the top of it so now it just sits there for 5 minutes then all of a sudden it jumps then nothing for 5 minutes and then it jumps. Don't waste your time with it now. I'd give it 0 stars but it won't let you.
Very convenient app for checking your tuning anytime, anywhere. I keep my phone on my stand and after I have been playing for a half hour or so I can quickly check my tuning.
Ive used pano tuner for years . don't want or need any other .other than a regular piano tuner this app gets me closer in tune and i can walk up and play with any other player of any instrment in seconds and refer pano tuner to all
Perfect for all instruments works wonders on My guitar and best thing is you can change the while frequency the CA.. don't get that option with many guitar tuners l... 432 or 442 concert a is good but you can play with all frequencies
Can get as accurate as 2c. Excellent tuner If the user is experienced enough and their understanding of music and pitch.
This has been really helpful for me when trying to tune my heart. There aren't any devices out there that will let me tune a harp, so this has been so helpful, especially since it's free
Great tuner. Easy to use. Ads don't interfere with use. Looks cool, too
Easy and precise to use. A brief introduction/ instruction page could be helpful.
This last update kind of ruined the tuner. It feels like it's just going back and forth randomly with no real accuracy.
This is a great tuner. It's fine in the style of the strobe tuners. I really like the tuner. It's very accurate and easy to use.
I've attempted to purchase the full edition twice, and the purchase has been refunded twice. Not cancelled from my end. What gives?
I regularly use a Korg tuner, but sometimes I I need a tuner when I'm not in a gig. This puppy is a lifesaver! Fine are the days when I get stuck without a tuner.
So easy to see what the app is hearing and knownhow to adjust my tuning. Better than my clip on tuner, for sure!
Latest update made this tuner unusable. Wish i had a way to go back to the old version. Latest update would get zero stars, previous version is a 5-star. Please fix this
Very hard to get back to the tuning screen when you have been switched over automatically to the other screen
Was working great. But now shows an ad, goes to settings. Can not get out of settings
I have been trying to purchase this app for several months, ONLY so I can get rid of the annoying ads. I keep getting a refund without asking for one and WITHOUT ever joining the beta tester option. The app works fine for the most part, but the developers will not let me keep the app WITHOUT the annoying ads. It is a mystery why they will do something like that after you've already given them your money. If it is a bug, then they should give the app for free WITHOUT ads, since it is not working
