I love the fact that i can communicate with my children's teachers &/or school so easily it definitely makes it easier to stay informed about their progress &/or any concerns the app also helps me be more involved with their education. Being able to send absent notes on the app is convenient too and helps eliminate any possibility of written notes not making it to the appropriate places. I LOVE THIS APP!
Not of much use: click on notifications and they open in browser not in the app. If you want to see your kids photos, you will be stuck waiting and waiting for thumbnails to load so that you can then click on the thumbnail of your kids photo to see the actual photo.
Everything works properly with the exception of when you have a second school added for next school year, your profile defaults to that new school and you no longer get updated on the current school. The current school notifications are a hit and miss now.
I really enjoy receiving my school and district message through the app. Everything is conveniently located. It keeps me from receiving a ton of emails and txt messages.
It's a great app but I have issues uploading photos. It's not as smooth and to the point as it should be which is frustrating.
Too many options on app but maybe because I haven't used the app much as I would like too it seems we have apps for everything . It would be nice when an email comes in and we click on a link is goes straight to the app so we can see posts and pics but it defaults to web browser and you have to sign in.
Every time I try to login either with email or my finger print it says invalid/error. So annoying. And it hasn't worked right since I installed it on my phone 4 years ago.
Great way of communicating with teachers and school, receive notes, updates and messages, good way to stay in top of what's going on in school!
I like the ability to check with the teacher, sign up for attendance and various activities. It is Awesome!
Great app for communication with teachers. Great for being updated with school activities and programs.
Doesnt load properly. All I can see is the text within the message but no buttons to view attachment or reply or react. I used to be able to view it properly, but now it doesnt load properly, ever.
Changed schools and two weeks later, still getting texts from the old school, none from new school. I texted Stop to get them to stop. I went into Parent Square and got a message that I had stopped all texts for both schools. I texted unstop to be safe. Got a text that I was resubscribed, but days later app still says I'm not. I set to send all notifications immediately, still no texts. Now I see that I there was a message from the school yesterday. I got it as email 24+ hours late. No text.
Easy to navigate. Response time is good. Cannot respond via SMS to this app. Responses must be made within the app.
It cuts off messages not allowing me to see the full length of conversation does not allow me to scroll further.
This app is a great with all the technology needed since COVID-19..I miss the play ground of children at Recess with excitement..PTA..Principles and Teachers..you're so amazing..a smile a day helps while my children is away..
Very helpful. Anything I want to know about my child's school, upcoming events and details it's all right here.
I have enjoyed consistent on current notification which was very informative in order to know the lastest information.
It gives important information regarding bus schedules, meal plans and sports. It would be nice if there could be more discussions on topics which children are learning at school and otherwise so as to engage more parents together for studies and other extra activities as well. TIA. Thanks for all support.
Great for messaging teachers. Search function is difficult to use.
Love that it's very convenient and gives updates on events and the children teachers can contact you about child's behavior and progress!❤️
Mobile app is designed for phones, so landscape view isn't available on tablet unless you hold it like an ereader. Sometimes the app freezes (menu button doesn't work). Tapping on a notification of a msg only displays msg, doesn't open the app for use. This is a good start to providing a single medium of communication, but needs some work. I end up going to the full site on my browser to actually be productive.
Easy to use and extremely convenient to have all notices in one place for multiple children instead of my email which has everything else. It is also super easy to communicate with teachers and school staff and not wait a long time for replies. Only feature that could be helpful is a filter so you don't have to scroll through everything to find the entry you want.
Clicking on notifications doesn't take you to the new message/post. Instead you end up going to the message/post you were previously looking at. There is no way to save a draft of a message. You cannot search through previous messages. When moving away from a draft before sending it, it doesn't prompt you that you're about to lose it either. App sporadically sends you message notifications. Sometimes people write to you and you aren't notified.
Clunky, hard to navigate, hard to find old messages, to actually take surveys, etc, I have to go to the website instead of the app, contacting anyone through the app is difficult except as a reply to a message but the teachers say to do it that way, oh and then they don't see the messages. Basically, I think the school made a poor choice and now we are all stuck with it. 4/15 update: still a disaster
Long email chains and can't save images. I want to like this app but two main features that I use a lot stop me: when you get the messages in email form you get every single message in that thread so it's super long. The second issue is that images that are shared in the app can't be saved. I think it's a bug but they haven't fixed it in months.
I have multiple kids it's hard to sift through and find messages. You literally have to scroll and scroll and scroll to find what you're looking for. Also, it's hard to zoom in on things. I personally would prefer to just email. Email is so much easier you can organize it into folders mark important ones it automatically adds things to your calendar, it's in the order in which it's received and most importantly you can search for things! I can't stand parent square!
Won't let me set up app notifications instead of text. Overcommunication. Way too many irrelevant text messages. They need to develop the functionality of filtering messages so only those that are relevant to my student. When I get 10 messages a day and almost all of them are irrelevant, I'm going to either stop paying attention to them or just turn off the notifications altogether.
It was great in the fall (2021), but I've had several issues in the past month or two. It seems like it became less intuitive. When I open the app it now defaults to a page that rarely has relevant information, which adds extra clicks in order to get to the posts I'm looking for. Annoying. Last month I also realized I was not getting some critical alerts from the school district, but it was not obvious what settings I needed to change.
