Park Columbus – A Smarter Way to Park in Columbus

Payments are a mess. Only allows two cards to be saved, but no way to delete or edit any of the old payment methods. Doesn't allow you to pay with amex but allows you to add an Amex card with no warning that you won't be able to use it. You try and change the payment method from the pay for parking screen and it deletes the details of your parking payment when you return.

Literally the worst app I've ever downloaded. 😬 Crashes randomly. Problems at every turn while signing up. Finally got to the end to enter our duration and the button to submit simply didn't work. We've been messing with this app for fifteen minutes. We are parking elsewhere simply because the app doesn't work and there's nowhere else to pay in person. 😠

Tried to use the app with a new vehicle, and after manually entering the new plates, my parking spot was assigned to my old vehicle. Called the Parking Services office, whose number is listed in the app. They claimed to "know nothing about the app" and told me they have no control over anything in the app, and directed me to ParkMobile. ParkMobile's number is an automated menu that offers no help whatsoever. Definitely the most flawed parking arrangement I've seen in a city.

Pretty bad app. Takes WAY TOO LONG to enter a plate or add a payment option. Speaking of, it allows you to choose PayPal as a payment option, has you enter all your information, plates etc. Then you go to click on Start Parking and it's "oh sorry that meter doesn't take PayPal" Hot Trash. Gave it 2 stars only because in the end, with a credit card that I DIDN'T want to use, it worked.

I registered my brother to park in front of my house. It showed that he was registered and it still does. He got a $50 ticket for not being registered! I appealed this ticket by explaining the situation and sending a print of the screenshot to city parking division. No forgiveness! He could have had his car ticketed and towed for hundreds of dollars!!! I've talked to many people who have had the same experience. I have not had friends over to my house for 2 years and I guess I can't anymore!!!

Park Columbus is an app designed to graft your money. It's clunky in design, costs more than the meter and, laughably, the function where they ask about your experience with the app doesn't even work (no button to submit your critique) If you have multiple cars and mistakenly select the wrong vehicle for a session, don't worry... you can edit the duration of that session after paying, BUT YOU CANNOT EDIT WHICH VEHICLE IS PARKED; you'll just have to PAY TWICE, SUCKER Just quarter the meter

A must-have app for Columbus Ohio residence to park with as all meters are Digital in the city of Columbus. You pay on the app for your parking place and choose the amount of time needed. It also send you an alert when your time is running out and will allow you to extend your time so you don't get ticked or towed.

Confusing to set up. Wasn't sure if I was parked in the right spot. Felt relieved when returned to car and didn't have a ticket on the windshield. Felt like it was a 50/50 gamble. The car next to me had a ticket. Feel like I've figured out the system for future use, but didn't have a high level of confidence I had everything set up to park where I was supposed to. Should be good moving forward on my visits to downtown area.

Aweful! The worst app. Not user friendly. I have tried many times to use the app, with zero success. Locator options don't work. Try to scan a code-- broken. Type in a zone, doesn't work. And without either of those the app doesn't allow payment.

Your confirmation takes 1/2 hour after you submit payment. Your 15 minute reminder will come in around time you get home or a ticket. The time should be displayed on the meter. If you stay for 5 minutes and pay for 3 hours who keeps the money? You don't get it back the next person doesn't get it and if you're looking for a parking space you could look at a meter and won't be able to tell if someone's time is up soon so you can get that parking spot. These are easy fixes.. They just chose not to

Usually I give apps some time before I review them, my experience with this app was disappointing to say the least. I thought the app would be a good alternative to no coins. Boy was I wrong. The app tells you they will send a notification prior to expiration, mine came in 5 minutes after I got ticketed, so much for relying on an app to tell me when the meter will go out. Don't have enough room on this comment box so I'll just say this. Pay meter with coins and save yourself the hassle.

Horrible, unintuitive, and bulky sign up. After you put in a car info, you need to tell the app that this is indeed the car info you wish to use. 🙄 Especially unfriendly app for downloading and setting up on the go.

Hideous app, took 15 minutes to pay 1$ Asked for the same information multiple times, rejected my email for trailing white space, and more. '.trim' is 5 characters someone didn't bother to add to the validation code. After I picked my parking location, I selected a payment option. After filling out the information, I was informed the payment method was invalid for my space. WHY DIDN'T YOU FILTER THE PAYMENT OPTIONS BASED ON MY PARKING SPACE IN THE FIRST PLACE? Simply awful.

After logging in to manage my passes, my session times out after just a few minutes or if I switch to another app. This is very frustrating when I'm trying to generate a guest pass code. I can't believe this POS app was approved for use.

Very faulty and glitchy. Couldn't sign up with my number and claimed to already have my email registered. When we finally signed up it wouldn't allow me to pay until I had a default vehicle but would refuse to select a default vehicle. Terrible.

Did anyone test the functionality of this app?! It asks you to choose a payment method - I chose PayPal which was one of the options and entered all my info, which the app accepted and confirmed. Then the first time I tried to use it, the app said PayPal is not accepted (even though it lets you register that payment method). Then after I entered my credit card info and selected 2 hours on the app, it told me the amount due was zero and then asked me to enter my credit card info all over again.

I link my PayPal account, and immediately I'm told where I parked doesn't accept PayPal as a form of payment. Why did it let me link that account then? Oh, and by the way five emails immediately, I understand one for setting up the account, and another for paying to park, but three additional emails within minutes of each other.. absolutely ridiculous.

You couldn't make a worse app if you tried. Word on the street is that City of Columbus spent over $300k to have this POS built by a company that specializes in making apps just like these. Unfortunately, it is total garbage. Crashes just about everywhere. Constantly needing to close and re-open app after crashes. Just all around bad. The developers that built it need to be fired because they are obviously incapable of making functional apps.

Didn't accept paypal for my parking spot. Also, if you have to add a car or payment method it keeps asking for the duration over again. Lots of popups and reminders that make the UI seem cluttered.

I paid parking and they ticketed me anyway. Not only for the parking but for no front license plate. I wasn't aware the new law hadnt come to pass but still this is a meter maid. Not a cop. $100 even though I paid for parking and someone tickets me anyway. Their appeal process is by mail, which I'm sure I'll be fined some more before they would get it. I'm never parking on Columbus streets again. This is a false sense of security so they can squeeze money out of you further.

Rarely works. I have to make a new account pretty much every time I've used it. I recieved a ticket from a rent-a-cop even after paying through the app. Absolute garbage. Just bring back the quarter machines.

This app is awful. I get that it's supposed to be convenient, paying for parking with my phone, but I think it's garbage that I can't renew parking in a zone also from my phone. I mean, I work a 4 hour shift. I don't want to leave my place of employment, run to my car, then drive around the block to park my car across the street, due to the 3 hour parking limit. I think I'll just take the bus next time.

Awful, it never sent a password reset email. Apparently, I've inflicted myself with this torture before. Many of the buttons lead to no discernible outcome.

I hate this app i wish i could just use quarters. It's neither convenient nor cheap. There's a credit card fee that did not exist before they switched parking to this app. Setup before use is a minimum of 5-10 minutes

I work all over the city as a contractor & this app is perfect to eliminate the constant worry about parking meters & allows you to set 2 payment methods so you can easily keep from getting costly tickets! Extra nice in winter!

Honestly this app is garbage. It automatically changed my license plate to my old one even though I added my new one so my car wasn't covered under parking. Its terrible. They need a better system.

Terrible app. I literally drove and found free parking instead of paid parking because the app was not working properly. What a hastle, and a mistake to make this switch by the city of Columbus.

worst app ever. i paid to get a parking pass. then this app didn't let me login. when i correctly answered the secret question, the password it sent after some 20 min was not accepted, and i got locked out. this review, like any otger complaint against the great municipal corporation of Columbus is gonna fall on deaf ears.

Ok parking app. Not optimal that it doesn't accept Paypal for some zones. Also not sure why required to save payment methods. Convenient? Not really, two extra clicks

Not easy to add new credit card on the run. One had expired, had to delete all to be able to add a new one😥. I miss coin meters.
