I haven't used this app in a very long time. I forgot my pin. It won't let me change my pin until I update my bank card on file. That bank card is cancelled and can't be updated. So I can't get into the account or set up a new account. This is so frustrating and inconvenient.

As others have stated, in order to use the app, you have to sign up for an account and they force you to preload your account with a minimum of 20 dollars, which is why I gave it 1 star. Very disappointed in the app architecture and I hope the project manager, architect, and app team work to update this on the next feature update. There is no reason to have it set up this way and this app should be considered a cash grab by the company until it is resolved.

Why wasn't pre-pay functionality added to the app? In order to pre-pay in any particular zone, you have to use the box, which is an inconvenience. The app should be more advanced than the box. Poor development.

Please provide the ability to see the hours of a zone and schedule parking if you arrive before the zone parking time starts. While parking tickets are not the app's fault, if you are in an appointment, unable to reach your phone and start a session when a zone starts, you can't start a session, at risk of ticketing. At least provide start time of zone.

The one thing I wish the app had is the option to load smaller amounts, as it stands the lowest amount is $20 also a flat convenience fee rate.

I did get a ticket once because the stacked letters on license plate where not entered but I felt the app should prompt the appropriate # of symbols needed to have complete license plate # as I had been using the app for years without being ticketed with same incorrect plate #.

It works but charges you a convenience fee. It's already digital and done via intent of you pay at the box...

Easy to use if there would be a scan poles near the parking lot would be way rather then we have to find a parking meter and see number but over all this app rocks

20$ minimum upfront payment. I don't think I will ever send 10$ in my entire life of parking in Chicago. Why the hell is this the only option. I should be able to pay as I go

I like using the Park Chicago app. I highly recommend it, it's very easy to use & also so convenient.

TL;DR - Use the pay kiosks rather than this app. They have you "pre-load" with a ridiculously high amount of money using a credit card before spending it. Installed as a backup while partner was waiting for her new phone to sync all the apps. App seemed intuitive for UI and all. When i finally got to point of setting up the account, it asked for credit card info to "pre-load" my account with $20 to use for the first time. He-double-hockeysticks-no. Pre-loading should not be necessary for this. I am OK with preloading my IPass because I receive a physical device, but not for just installing an app. This is such a scam - a way for the city to make money for those that just need to park for short amounts of time. City should be ashamed of this cheap money-grab tactic.

Works like a charm. Ability to extend sessions remotely is especially nice.

The app itself is great. It's easy to use and the timer is good, as is the reminder notification. The cutoff so you don't pay during free parking times is nice too. However, I got this app so that I could avoid the pay boxes, and my car was towed because the paper saying no parking was, you guessed it, on the pay box, not on the parking sign that I was next to. The papers stopped at the pay box, which was about 30 feet short of the edge of the no parking zone. App cost me a few hundred dollars.

the only 2 things I would change is add a feature to the add time menu to set the exit time as an alternative option to just adding time. takes away the math if you know you're leaving at a certain time as well as with this app feature, it would be nice to be able to do more than 3 hours. most work days are 8 and that would eliminate the chance of missing a re up on your meter. otherwise it's a great option to pay your meter. thanks

this would be a great app if it works properly. the idea is great, but the app doesn't ring when the session is almost over, or it says that there is no connection (and I had the Internet for sure). it takes me to the beginning, trying to make a new account with the same pin number. i have screenshots to show this! can't wait to stop having a need for it! hope some time soon

Dont bother with this app, they charge a service fee every time you reserve for less than 2 hrs and additionally each time you want to extend your time. The app forces you to pre-load $20(minimum). I figured it would be an easier way to park on the streets but like everything else in Chicago, they're just squeezing money from you wherever they can.

This app is completely unreliable. More than once have I gotten a ticket because the app does not properly Implement notifications. Additionally, not only do they force you to load money into your account, they force you to reload before you use all of the money. You are charged additional fees for using the credit card and less you pay the maximum amount... this might be fine except when the maximum amount is 2 hours and you can only load up an hour and 45 minutes. Which means it actually cost you more money than if you were to load the actual maximum amount.

Works as expected. I've been using this app everywhere and it does what I need it to do and that's to stop me from getting tickets. I'd pay the $ and fees to avoid a $60-75 ticket. Downtown Chicago parking is just a robbery to pay $8 for just two hours for lunch? Jeez! Still saves me $52-68 though. You get what I mean. It has a reminder to let you know that you have 10 minutes left before having to extend it, but the price is more expensive per hour. Definitely recommend this app.

Easy to use! Really helpful when your errands runs longer than anticipated.

Vau. T. Jan 15, 2020

This app is actually a pretty good app that has worked even at last minute when scanning problems have occurred at the parking box. The reminder function comes in very handy as well as being able to see your time count down. The only part I really don't care for is the mo ey part were you can't choose your own amount to renew card on file.

Garbage, it never notifies me when my time is about to expire. Utter garbage, FU Chicago dept. Of Finance

Ben. L. Apr 29, 2022

Easy to use. Saves your cars. No more going to the box

Vad. B. Apr 30, 2022

I have a new phone and I can't sign into my account. "sign in" takes me to a setup page.

Cal. N. May 3, 2022

It's very easy to use the app. It's a lot better than paying at the meter.

Bri. R. May 3, 2022

1 star because a private corporation owns Chicago public parking. I have to pay investors for the right to park on my street. Also, Google keeps removing my 1-star review.
