Parler

Decent enough but still a little rough around the edges. Doesn't feel as smooth and responsive as Twitter, but is getting better. One glaring issue currently is that I am simply unable to change my profile picture through the app. After I crop it and try to export it, nothing happens and I'm just taken back to the main feed. Otherwise, really glad to have a truly free speech platform. 🇺🇸

I have Parler, and I love it, but with each new update it seems to get slower and slower and very glitchy. Sometimes I can't check my notifications; I tap on the notification, and I get a message saying that "Parler isn't responding ", then I have to hit "wait" before I'm able to see comnents from others. Please fix this glitch, if possible. It's not a smooth experience. 10/7/2020 Parler continues to have issues. It freezes constantly. PLEASE FIX!

Don't listen to the lies! I've been on Parler for over 3 weeks now, and it works perfectly. I had NO problems signing up for the app, and I'm on it daily. The interface is easy to use, and the app is stable (no problems with crashing or other issues). It's a great conservative social media app, with true freedom of speech without the censoring and silencing of conservative voices on other social media app.

In principle, this is an excellent idea and probably the first truly free-speech oriented platform around. But there are technical issues that need fixing, and design flaws that don't work well. Often settings and lightbox elements don't load. Parler tries too hard to make e everything dynamic, instead of keeping is simple and lightweight, so many phones just won't be able to handle this. It's got amazing potential, and I hope it eventually buries Twitter and FascistBook completely.

I'm trying to like your app. I want to like your app. But so far it's not user friendly. First, please make the page jumping while scrolling stop. Second, I don't want to have to let you photograph my government ID just to use private messaging. Third, simple home features showing who my friends are and trying to find them is confusing and difficult. Lastly, the feed is slow with little variety despite the fact that I'm following quite a few people. So far, disappointed. Hoping it gets better.

I found Parler a few weeks ago and I really like it and what it represents. Unfortunately, the app as it is is not really useful, as I cannot log in. It just keeps dropping me back at the main log-in screen. Strangely some notifications do come through but I cannot open them, as it just pops back yet again on the log-in screen. I would really love to be able to have the app, so hoping for a bug fix

Great Start, but a little glitchy. I actually had to sign up on my laptop vs. the phone app because when trying to sign up via the app, it would get stuck at a point in the process and wouldn't let you go any further. Once I signed up on my laptop, I was able to access and then navigate through the Parler phone app. Love Parler!! Hopefully, they fix the minor glitches with this update 🙏 🤗

Update! Fixed within 12 hours! Thanks Parler! This app worked when I first downloaded it, but now my "request failed due to timeout" every time I go there. I can't see anything in my feed. I've tried logging out and back in. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I tried going to a "help" page linked in one of the emails I was sent and got an error page. I would like to use this app, but I literally can't! Help! I'll gladly change my review if I can get some help.

Parler itself is amazing, however the app has many bugs that need to be worked out. After logging out and later attempting to log back into the app, I never got past the captcha. It doesn't matter if you match the uppercase and lowercase, as it automatically reverts back to all capital, as soon as you enter it in it says "unauthorized" and kicks you back to the log in screen. I've seen other reviews with this issue as well. I've tried several times, it just won't let me back in.

After the latest update when I click on a post in my feed, the article opens up initially and then a blank white screen after 2 or 3 seconds. I can't read any posts of the people or groups I'm following. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice. My phone was purchased last November (2019), Samsung S10e. Not sure if it's a phone compatibility problem or a glitch with the app. It worked perfectly prior to this last update.

I love Parler, but not this app. Not yet. Remember the good old days of signing in to AOL and browsing the 'net with nothing but a dial-up modem? Yeah, it's that slow. App freezes every few seconds, when posts load at all. Navigation is poor. Can't zoom images. This app is frustrating, but new, so I'll give you guys some time to fix it.

Interesting concept with terrible execution. I downloaded and installed, jumped through all their hoops to get an account and can't even use it because the app constantly freezes up and gives me a 'Your request has failed due to a timeout' message on a blank screen. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, their Captcha and security code system is a real pain also. I hope they can sort this out and make a usable platform out of it but I have run out of patience with them for now. 1 last try.

Great Innovative App! Been an active user for months, but recently uninstalled the app to re download the updated version of the app (May 2019), and am unable to download and install the new version. Perhaps its a glitch, but it would be nice to get back an Parler since its been growing. I was forced to download the app from a 3rd party since it wasnt working on the google play store. Not sure if thats happened to anyone else trying to get on Parler

Too many updates. I have extremely limited internet access and data. This app wants to update just about every day. If you do not update, you cannot use the ap. So, half the time I cannot use the ap because I do not have enough data to update (although there is enough data to use the ap). Another issue is with autocorrect - after each autocorrect, the cursor moves so you have to stop, go back , and move the text around.

Pro's:- It's brilliant, very simple to handle and you can say what you like without worrying about people censoring you! Con's:- It can get a little glitchy at times and certain features like playing videos sometimes don't load but this can all be easily fixed with a debugging update. Overall it's a great app, has potential to be even better but it functions very well at the moment. Just a few bits and bobs that need to be polished up but all in all an impressive app!

I was really excited to use this app. However, right away trying to make an account was next to impossible, the passwords would not work at all, and when I finally did get a password to work the app crashed. I rebooted it multiple times each with the same outcome. Sometimes, I would get to the main screen other times It wouldn't. This app needs major work before it should even be on the play store. My family and friends also had a similar experience to mine. I wouldn't recommend this app 0/10

I like Parler and I want to support free speech. Unfortunately this app is clunky, unintuative and hard to navigate. For example I view comments on a post then return to the main feed, but it does not return to where I left off it takes me back to the top of the feed and I have to start scrolling from the beginning again. I rarely scroll far because of this.

Great app for news. Very friendly UI. However, I think there are a couple things with it that could be better optimized. For instance, instead of having to click the post to see the comments, instead have it where you click the comments button and it drops down a tab of comments and the ability to write one of your own. Couple other things here and there, but other than that its great!

great platform, but completely undermined by the color selections. gray text on a white background is impossible to read the menu items are practically invisible. I can change the motif color, but not font color or background or the menu items. so I guess I'll just have to use their website on a desktop until this gets improved I won't be able to see it to even use it to begin with

Update: Captcha function epic fail. Excessively hard to read. Does not have option for reading impaired. Great app. Very responsive and fast. Well designed and speedy. Easy to adapt to and built on a premise of true free speach, within the constraints of law, of course. Only been there two days, but will probably be very long term. Good replacement for Twitter, IMHO.

Great application. #1 feature is its non toxicity. It's easy to exchange with people, the app is very easy to use with meaningfull and subtle animations. It allows changing the main color, though I like the default. They also have upvote/downvote system that is nominative (you know who did vote). Messages can be 1000 which is long enough to express yourself in most situation. Helped by people who can handle an adult conversation. Good!

I saw some people said the app was buggy but that wasn't my experience. Maybe it's been fixed! I created my account on a computer and was able to log in with the app in >1min. Navigation and UI is very straightforward. No issues making comments, navigating within the site, or going to external links. This looks like a promising alternative to the big tech censorship programs like Twitter, Facebook, and Google+.

Excellent app works great and is easy to use. All these reviews saying it was hard to setup are wrong. I've had the app for months and it has never given me an issue. I've used on a S7 and S10 and it's worked great. I find it easy to navigate and I really like how I can easily setup my notifications. Thank you for creating this platform!

Parler is pretty good but still needs a lot of work. For one thing it's very data-hungry, seems to use up alot of data, it's almost like it reloads/downloads everything every time you open it & some of the videos automatically start playing which they shouldn't. You should have to click on them otherwise you're using up a lot of data. Also they need to fix their verification process, no one should take photographs of their driver's license or passport to get their verification badge, crazy.

Amazingly excellent for a new social media app, and I love the free speech, you can hear all voices on a subject and come to your own conclusion. A few minor bugs though: 1. Videos play when not interacted with and even have sound, they also can and quite frequently play when scrolled off screen even 20+ posts away. 2. When trying to zoom in on pictures posted it has a habit of swiping them away, also after zooming dragging the picture around is buggy and centers the position every time.

I like the concept of the app but it just needs better design. There is no way to follow a topic or read trending news. You literally have to go search for each individual person to follow in order to get any news on your feed. How am I supposed to discover new people to follow or see what trending topics are. My husband also found the app confusing and wasn't sure how to set it up. It's not very user friendly. They could use a better UX designer. I want to like it, but find it unusable.

Awesome Potential ... I would love to migrate my instagram accounts. While Parler offers the option of having multiple accounts, it won't allow you to create multiple accounts if it's the same phone number. There are a great deal of reviews from peeps that haven't been able to recreate an account because their phone number is in the system already. This needs to be fixed.

It took some getting used to but now that I know how to navigate through and properly search for content on Parler I am very happy with app. Overall the platform's free-speech policy and interface/setup are personally excellent, but I will not gloss over the fact that oftentimes the app has issues loading and uploading content. Perhaps it is merely my connection but I haven't encountered upload fails like this on any other platform. I do enjoy Parler but I hope these issues are adressed.

I had no problems downloading and installing the app. I haven't been spammed and loaded several days ago. Opens right up into my account like any other app once installed without verifying again. Like having a platform that let's you truly see what's going on and is informative without pushing you or forcing you into some kind of submission to view like someone else does. Still trying to learn how to make the best of it. Hoping there may be a tutorial but if not, I'll figure it out. Just want to get up to running speed. Keep updates coming.

This app seems to be incredibly slow to navigate, I get a blank screen for over 10 seconds when going between my feed, and notifications. The worst thing is that every few minutes I get a message stating that "Parler has stopped responding" and I have to choose between waiting, or restarting the app. I am hopeful these issues will be worked out soon.
