Perfect. I was worried about setup because of all the negative reviews but for me it was great. I used a samsung A7 (2018) and the Boron / Xenon were connected to a mains usb not a computer. The account setup and module setup for all 4 units was finished and working in under 15 minutes without any problems. Easyiest and smoothest setup I ever had. Spark works well too. Good job on the App, excellent products all round.
Tried to setup a Boron, followed the instructions, but the QR code scanner doesn't work. I can see the code clearly in my phone screen in the box, not fuzzy, great light, but nothing happens. No advice on alternate setups. DOA. -Update: we were able to get it to run by using the command line interface, though not yet the QR scanner
Mesh setup doesn't work with Samsung note edge. Flashing using command line doesn't either. After waiting and waiting for delivery of these devices it's been incredibly frustrating getting them even setup. This is a letdown after such excitement to get the devices. Disappointment Particle.
Frustrating to say the least. I have a Boron I am attempting to get on-the-air. I have downloaded the App. It only shows Photon, Electron and Core as choices. It also shows version 2.2.2. I am getting nowhere with this. Support said to run CLI. Docs say I need to run App for Boron. Very frustrated.
Ive used this app for years and loved it! I noticed an update and decided to try the Tinker function. Without warning it re flashes my Photon and installs the tinker firmware. There goes the code I had! I have it installed on my reef aquarium controlling a whole host of different parameters and now need to head home to reflash it back to my firmware... This could have easily been avoided by a simple warning in the app...
Works as described and makes it easy to interface with associated devices. For 5/5 would be nice to see: 1. IDE ability; be cool to reflash "on the fly". 2. Widget that gives you dasboard functionality; ie. Display variable/events and also send particle.function() calls. On a side note; even works with the original kickstarter "spark cores" wi thout problems :D
Particle sells hardware that can only set up through this app. This app is not stable and hangs at setup which imposes a firmware update. It's a really bad idea to use an app that uses Blutooth to flash firmware. Make a USB connection for setup and firmware flash.
Can't update Argon from a Nexus 6P. Freeze on "Sending part 1 to device" around the 12% mark; the red/blue flash stays on solidly for 10 seconds before it is replaced with a blue flash. Going to try again in a few days when it stabilizes but for now quite disappointing.
Would be nice if the app supported MESH devices. Downloaded the app from Google but ... hey ... GUESS WHAT??? When you hit the "+" button to add a new device, the app only allows you to setup a Photon, or a Electron or a Core! What about Boron, Argon and Xenon? Particle needs to get their act together and publish apps that support their devices.
Setup is simple and straightforward. Bug: All of the links are http instead of Https which throws errors and won't open in app
Thanks great app and new interface definitely brings some better UX. One suggestion would be if it is possible to tag devices to notify next time they come online please? Either way thank you
in older versions of android, like kitkat and lolipop, the mesh option won't appear on the menu. there is no way i can setup my argon.
App errors and crashes prior to completing device setup and association to my account. No way to complete setup via website.
The device appears stuck in upgrade. I quit setup and went on without any problems
Newest update breaks connectivity for new photons. Seems like every other update breaks something.
Everything works for me. Would be five stars if I could see full events without having to copy / paste. Why are events truncated?
Tinker it doesn't work, I have a Z2 force Android 9. Everything went well but tinker it doesn't :(
The device keep failing to add new devices even after successfully paired with the phone.
Love the app. Would be grateful if the web ide could be bundled in the app.

Just fun and new which I love the most
I like the idea of the app so far however I'm unable to use. For my phone I am able to select add my device and see my photon. The setup process goes smoothly however once it's complete I receive the message saying my device is now connected. After continuing from that screen I'm brought back to my devices and it says I have no devices. The setup so far is frustrating and I would really like it to work.
