Particle Flow

This open-source app displays 50,000 particles attracted to up to 5 points that you can move with your fingers. You can adjust most of the parameters in the settings menu (tap on the top right corner to display the rotating gear, then tap on it to display the settings menu). You can also use Particle Flow as a live wallpaper!Inspired from the following project: https://code.google.com/p/renderscript-examples/wiki/Gravity

This is a fun little app, but it doesn't work well as a standalone visual. I like to leave it running at my office, just watching the view, but it never changes on its own, and it gets boring. If there were some randomness injected, like maybe the strength of the different points, it would make the view constantly changing. This turn this app from a 4 star to a 5 star.

I thought it was kinda meh, then noticed the invisible settings gear in the upper right corner. Look up an rgb 0 to 255 interactive color chart, increase particle count, turn up drag and turn up attraction. It is really fun to play with. Note: lag can, to some extent, be overcome with higher attraction to adjust for low particle speed.

This app has been on all my devices for a very long time, as it's always been super calming and helpful in some of my cloudier moments. I just got an S21+, and the smoothness with 120hz is incredible. I only wish that it could be updated to take advantage of the entire screen of my device, but that's not a huge issue to me.

Beautiful! The only thing that would make this cooler is some sound. Ambient music would be nice -- NO, it would be cool if it could dance to music too like a visualizer! Of course I want to be able to turn this feature on and off as I please uwu.

Another fun graphical fidget app. I like it, especially while playing music when I don't feel like playing a game or something. being able to set it as live wallpaper is a nice bonus and it's completely free which is becoming more and more rare for even mediocre apps and this one is actually nicely done. Try it out.

very simple interface and fun customizations. it's a pretty basic app, nice diversion when you're waiting in line or if you just need a little stimulation without committing to a specific chunk of time. beautiful colors and fun physics.

Its beffently a fun and cool looking app, there is only one other that I find to be a bit more customizable. But neither of them have a record option, at least not in the free version(I never pay for apps like these) but I think that is about the only thing I would add.

OMG I love this app ... I m not sure if the intention of the designer or if I'm even right but I suspect it's a simulation for particles in a vacuum acted upon by gravity...like space but by touching the screen you can create gravity Well and watch them implode, drag and swirl them and even, and I won't say how but you can counteract the effect across the whole screen and freeze them and they look like a universe.

I love the concept of this game! I have anxiety and whenever I play this game I feel at ease, and helps me create a quiet place for me to just relax. I believe it may not be suitable for all people because it's simple but I believe this is a beautiful calming app. But the one issue I have is about the settings! I wish there was a setting button right on the corner ready for me to push! but it's so hard trying to get the setting icon on my screen.

Pretty neat. If you create a gravity well and circle the center you can herd all the particles into a small space. Then drop your well into it and the program resets because you beat the math in the engine. Very fun to mess with and pretty.

Performs exactly as I expected, with the added bonuses of the live wallpaper. Spin your finger in a small circle until you get all the dots in a small little ball, then let go. They all explode out and it's super pretty.

Maybe I'm weird, but I've spent hours just messing with the settings trying to find amazing shapes. Tip: use odd attraction points for better patterns and try 15 attraction and 1 drag to start. It's a good fun area to mess around with.

Amazing app, I love watching the particles dance aroundand such. My phone is kinda slow and I wanted to install it on an emulator (Bluestacks) on my laptop, but it doesn't work. It's a minor setback so you get 4.7 stars.

It's real fun at first, but there isn't enough to play with it for long without taking long breaks from it. Still, it's a mesmerizing little app that runs really well without slowdown. I definitely recommend it.

Very cool, could you improve it so we can "throw" the points and they bounce around forever at the thrown speed? That would be super nice. Thanks! Or a setting to give the points a math driven sin path to follow?

Enjoyable app. Didn't keep it for long, though I re-download it once in a while, and admittedly I haven't played around with the settings/variables as much as I could have.

Not very optimized for different screens, when i adjust a setting, it's impossible to click out of the keypad, so when i scroll down to the bottom of the settings menu I can't reach the OK button to save my settings!

This app is great, its really fun to create different crazy wallpapers, or to just mess around in the app, my only suggestion is that you add the ability to save several wallpapers instead of having only one

Picked this app over Particle Live Wallpaper n Play by Rubbish Collector because I can screen cap this app easier. I like to make art with the particles, not just play with them. Definitely a soothing thing to play with though!

This app is amazing in ways that I can't describe. There is no goal, or enemies, or gamification whatsoever; just colors, light, particles, and exquisite beauty.

Most simplest yet most engaging app ever.. File size very low and interface bare minimalistic even without credits!.. Loved the physics engine behind the app only feedback is to better the algorithm

I like it, you can change settings from a lot of movement to a little, fast, slow. It's always moving and goes wherever you touch.

Such an intriguing app. Does nothing much, but keeps you engaged. kind of a stress reliever actually. Sometimes the simplest things are the most gratifying :-)

This is beautiful beyond imagination! You can touch a galaxy! The colours, the patterns, the engagement, being able to direct and create! Wonderful! Marvelous! Incredible app! I love it!

This game is amazing and relaxing. I love how you can change the size, colour and shape of the particals but it would be nice with some music.

Ric. H. Nov 30, 2018

Neat app to pass a few minutes. A nice feature would be to save some of the touch designs and change particle size, number of particles, speed.

Oph. N. Aug 19, 2021

I love this but I really wish you had the option to customize the size of pixels and add other effects. I had something similar to this on an old ipod touch that had way more features but this is still cool.

Beautiful to look at & play around with, but a word of STRONG CAUTION! This app has a very hypnotic effect, basically shutting your thought processes down to a minimum. Some users with anxiety have said it calms them down, & no wonder, it stops you from thinking. Also, stare for enough time & after moving on you won't be able to get the patterns out of your eyes for hours, if not days. Seriously, it's stimulation of your retinas has a long-lasting effect. It seems to be a dopamine shortcut, making you want to stare for longer than you really should. So, I'd say, as with any relaxant/hypnotic, USE IN MODERATION ONLY!
