Particle Sandbox

A basic physics sandbox type game that allows you to control various particles to interact with other particles. Based on well known Flash sand games like "Falling Sand". Simply select a particle type and drag your finger!

Features 29 different particles, and 6 tools.

Press the menu button to show and hide the game menu.

Tools (From right to left):
• Pen Type - Change the pen type to either "Pen" or "Fill" tools.
• Pen Size - Adjust the size of the particle placement.
• Spray Can - Adjusts how many particles are placed when dragging your finger.
• Fountain - When turned on, any particle placed will continuously drop that particle type.
• Clear - Clears the entire sandbox to Air particles.
• Border - Toggles solid border on and off.

Menu Options:
• Particle Panel - Select the particle to drop.
• Play/Pause - Toggles particle logic on or off.
• Tool Panel - Open the tool panel.
• Exit - Quit to the menu.
• Save - Opens the save panel.
• Help - Displays tooltips for each icon.

Notes:
• This is not meant to be an accurate representation of physics. All particles more or less behave like sand particles, even liquids and gases.

Hopefully it works on most devices. I will continue to improve and add new features and particles, if you have any ideas or criticisms please feel free to leave them in a review!

It's super fun, there are alot of fun and cool interactions, but can you add one more feature please? Can you add a feature that lets the player create an "elememt" please? I mean, have a initial preset of maybe sand/dust, you can change it's color, change it's interactions with different things, for example: when it touches iron, it turns green, floats up, and after a few seconds explodes. I think it would be awesome if you could do that. I think it would give the player more freedom of stuff.

All in all a good port. It's pretty pared down compared to the desktop version, but given how much of a drain on the processor it can be, its understandable. I still wish there was more interaction between particles and temperature physics.

Interesting game but not as good as the original falling sand game. Having to pull up a menu every time I want to change items is tedious and I cannot find the spout option. I like the fill and spray paint controls but the menu is still too invasive. Download Sand! (not Sand:box which is an even worse immitation)

Awesome app😃😄😃😄😃! Please add a "Past Items" category to hold deleted items(currently dry ice and gunpowder). Can you add 6 new particles: asteroids, meteoriods, comets, molten iron(molten iron and magma do not destroy everything but the steel and expect other particles of the same type, they only destroy flammable substances), shocked rock(solid rock that was shocked to dust by a impact shockwave), shockwaves (created when solid particles hit a solid surface and makes a crater.

The only thing I want is a element created like if something touches water it evaperates goes into the sky changes red and falls back down and explodes on impact, or just add something that explodes like the weird bar that explodes purple, but explodes if it touch anything

I really like this app. Is an interesting concept, making a draw that is a chemical reaction. But to be more enjoyable, why can not we make a video of the whole thing that we are doing? That would be awesome.

it keeps crashing whenever i place any particle. is this just an issue with chrome,or is it a glitch? if it's a glitch, please look into it.

It's almost brilliant.. just needs the ability for particles to be moved by the gravity of other particles.

The physics arent to my taste and act quite strangly. (And a message to those who think that sand:box is a ripoff of this game) -> The game "Sand:Box" cannot be a Ripoff of this game. Sand:Box was released in 2015, whereas THIS game was released in 2017, according to the Google play store.

Good. Wish it wouldn't reset on its own accord the view after only a few minutes. Wish I had more particles to work with.

Wow, amazing! Actually not really... You need to add new element, which is called and make it workable! 4 stars for now...

I think there should be a speed toggle. Things move way too slowly.

The function is all wonky and the visuals are lame. Seems like homework for a programmer that still in school. Sneaks by with D+ at best. Pure garbage.

It needs more elements it good and all but for that reason that's what brings it Down if you could add a element creator it would be better

Alright. Lags too much when the screen is over half full.

Just get Sand : Box (Thats the actual name of the game). Sand : Box does the same pixel physics sandbox but actually makes it fun
