Very impressed with this mobile app. It has all the features that we want and demand in today's times of online-only banking; e.g.: depositing checks, transferring funds between internal accounts, 24/7 push balance info, alerts, notifications, etc., everything is intuitive, familiar, and easy to master. The only feature I want to see is a dedicated "log out" icon on MY home page, that TOTALLY logs me out of my session. Currently, I must scroll to the bottom of a drop down menu to end the visit.
UI interactions like swiping and scrolling is a bit sensitive and requires you to be excessively precise. Also, very frequent maintenance downtimes (security purposes, I guess) and relative alerts for the aforementioned pop up on every screen which is annoying. Otherwise, it is a great app that does the job... much better than what other credit unions offer their customers.
It has been a useful app. I like being able to check account balances, transfer funds, make payments and deposit checks on my phone. However it has been glitchy lately. the home page no longer loads correctly. I came here today hoping they had updated but no update. I worry about security of app due to glitches. Like other posters I've had issues with rejected check deposits. There is no way to look at your check photos to confirm that the picture is good untill after you've completed the dep.
Auto capture for depositing checks is so glitchy. Take a pic of the front, fine. Try to take a pic of the back, suddenly the screen is tiny, flipped around, and refuses to go back to normal. Had to force stop the app twice and had to try 4 times with auto capture before it gave the option for manually taking the picture. I'm just trying to deposit a paycheck!
Mobile deposit stopped working, one of the main reasons to have this app. Every time I tried to take a picture of the check it would save to the rear photo slot so I couldn't save a front photo. I re-installed the app to see if it would fix the issue and now it crashes on launch! Totally unusable for anything now. PLEASE fix this.
Help! Having issues opening on Samsung Galaxy S9. Worked fine for over a year. Now I get either a blank screen or red screen with logo. Seems the app freezes when opening. However, if I go to the website in Chrome on my phone and log in and go back to the app it opens. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times. Nothing works. Apps for other sites work fine on my phone.
Easy to use, only 2 issues that are more of a personal preference or desire. No link for automotive buying site, and no info on how to obtain the direct deposit numbers. I am sure there is a reason. Still a slight hassle on my end to make a phone call to get direct deposit info for my checking. So 5 stars my personal preference doesn't count for how great the app works.
What happened?! This app used to work reliably. I've had to uninstall and reinstall the app twice in the last 7 days. Back out your recent upgrades/patches, they aren't working.
when conducting transfers within the app, its delayed to reflect in your accounts and dashboard. makes you think it didn't go through so you redo it only to later find out you did two transfers, when you only intended to do one. I refreshed it many times and logged out and in and it still took several mintues to reflect.
Less functional than the website. Imo the app is only good for depositing checks and possibly transferring money. I'm very disappointed that the budgeting features aren't available on mobile — they're clunky enough to use on desktop, I was hoping it'd be easier to use on mobile. Please add this feature!!
App was fine until the recent update. I agree with the previous revised as well as my own experience that I now have issues depositing checks. It now does not capture the image of the check automatically even though it says it does. Never had that issue before.
App was great until recently when App won't open on my android Samsung Galaxy S10. Turned off and on, uninstalled and reinstalled, no luck. An email or note with estimated fix time would be nice. It's useless right now and very frustrating.
I had to disable my VPN to deposit checks. Now, a few months later, even with my VPN disabled, I haven't been able to deposit checks for a few weeks. I keep getting a server error message. I can do anything else I need to with my phone anywhere else except deposit checks with this app. I tried using WiFi and cellular connections in a few different places but it still doesn't work.
It's great for an app to be compatible with my device's biometric fingerprint security. Great feature to quickly view account balances. Additionally, taking pictures of checks to deposit are quick and work very well.
frustrating to use! makes me enter in login info 3 or more times before it actually opens. lately it has gotten worse, and I give up after the 7th or 8th login attempt. also keeps forgetting that I've set fingerprint login and won't give me the option, and asks me if I want to set it up.
Great app! I love that I can simply open the app and it will show me the balances in my checking and savings. I can then tap the account and it will show me my last five transactions all without having to login. Very simple and easy to use. Credit Unions are definitely the way to go.
Excellent app. I moved to an area that did not have a Patelco Credit Union making it very hard for me to cash my checks when I get paid. I would have to drive over 30 miles to get to my bank normally on a weekend. It's very convenient to have this app and be able to do a mobile deposit every time I get paid.
WAS a great banking app until recently when mobile deposits completely stopped working. taking a picture of the front of my checks always works but when you try to take a picture of the back the screen becomes tiny and the image warps so you literally can't take a clear photo. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!
I need the text ability to be restored like it used to and show my BALANCE after each texted transaction, please! And text when I transaction is pending also. These featured helped me stay out of trouble catch trouble in the past. Now they're gone!
This still has so many bugs. It is often difficult to use. Seriously the verification aspects are rediculous when you already enter your password plus other verifications. Just to look at the full account detials. No other banking app is this frustrating.
I do really like the Patelco app however it losses 2 stars because it no longer has the quick account view access. It was so helpful & made checking my balance on most used accounts quick & easy. Because the password had to be long it's a pain so this feature was appreciated & needed. Please bring it back!
perfect for travel, I'm able to manage accounts, bill pay, send messages to the bank from anywhere. I can buy an overseas phone and get it "registered" by email notifications, something I can't do with my other bank's app.
I love the ease of use with Patelco's Mobile App!!! The fingerprint login is fast and cool. I also love the quick on line check deposit feature where I take a picture of the front and back of my check to deposit. They really know how and what their customers like when it comes to features on this application!!!
Mostly nice app but requires username password login to the regular website to see rates and/or make transfers. It would be nice if those features were also in the mobile app. I use the fingerprint logon because I use long random passwords not practical for regular entry on my phone.
I would give zero stars, but it's not an option on this rating scheme. the mobile banking app is supposed to allow log in with my fingerprint, but doesn't, only shows the pw/un fields. Remember this device never works, I always have to request a one time password every time I use the app.
Please revert to the previous format. Besides this new format somehow being hard on my eyes, this one makes doing transfers feel more clunky, and because everything's thin and white you have to pay close attention to which account you're transferring. The old red block format was fine, everything was clearly laid out and easy to use. Don't quite get why the change, besides the good ol "companies and apps must always change" mantra everyone runs on.
