Pathbuilder (Open Beta)

Fantastic app! Easily the best one I've come across for pathfinder. Loads of content to draw from for character creation (race, items, classes with archetypes, spells, etc.), as well as the ability to create your own race and items. I've reccomended this app to every pathfinder player I've come across in the past year. It's super convenient, and I get all my new players to use it in place of paper character sheets.

This is the absolute best character building app. I've spent countless hours building with this app, and am always blown away with how well developed it is. It has all the content one would want to build and then some. The ability to export a character sheet is phenomenal, and saves so much time as it does all the math and fills in all the relevant boxes. I can't imagine using anything else. Great job, devs!

This seems like a very helpful app, if a little hard to navigate at first with the way leveling works. My only problem is that I'm having a little trouble selecting a Special patron for my witch, as the "select special" button doesn't seem to do anything. In addition, clicking for info on some hexes brings you to a third party website rather than Paizo. Not a glitch, just a weird decision that makes navigation a little more confusing. All in all the app has been very helpful though!

Absolutely superb! Everything is calculated and updated on the fly - perfect for transferring the characters my children have created into easy-to-read, formatted sheets as we begin our first campaign. One less thing to think about on to of learning (and teaching) the rules and how to GM. As a developer, I know how difficult it can be to create apps, so wanted to say: fantastic work, thank you! :)

Essential. Complete. Updated frequently. If you play Pathfinder, David has made character management as easy as possible. The functionality is intuitive. It's seriously impressive and sets a gold standard in TTRPGs for digital management. Some feedback: I frequently lose my character images. I've probably uploaded my two year old character on a monthly basis. A combat function. I have a barbarian who rages, gets enlarged and bulls strength and what not. Auto calc of what to roll would help a lot

I've been using it for a while now, and to my experience it is the best character creation app available. Feats/skills/spells selection is extremely pictoral and intuitive, making planning character development easier than ever. Just one question though: -what is the best way to provide feedback, including notes on inconsistencies and mistakes in descriptions?

Just started using this app. In the custom race builder, changing anything causes it to scroll back to the top because the focus is still on the Race Name text field. This needs a way to deselect the text or not have it cause the unwanted scrolling. Once you get to the bottom of the list, it's really annoying to have to keep scrolling down every time you make a change.

This app is crazy good! The UI is seamless. It's scalable for every level, and I love being able to revert back to lower-level character stats if I need a less powerful character for a different game. I also really liked the "popular feats" notations. My only criticism is that it's not on iOS. My friends are jealous because there's nothing on iPhone that even comes close to this. Please consider making available across all platforms!

It's a fantastic app, and it makes drafting up new characters a breeze. Not everything is implemented, because there's just so much stuff in Pathfinder, but it's still a 5 star app. If I was to make a request, it would be the addition of the magical beast companions that the beast speaker feat give you access to, to be added to the list of potential animal companions within the app.

I absolutely love the app. It helps when brainstorming an idea. The only thing i wish it had was support for the optional gestalt and mythic rule sets, though i know that would have added a lot more work which is why its not a complaint just a wish as it would simplify things sometimes. Beyond that one thing i recommend the app to everyone i play with, especially the 2e app.

This is both the best character building tool and best character sheet app I've found by miles. Unfortunately, it doesn't currently support gestalt characters and, since my group has decided to run mostly gestalt games now, I can't use it to its full potential much anymore. It would be incredible if this functionality could be added.

Love the concept and ease of use! However, when I went to print the sheet, despite all the numbers showing in the app, the sheets came out blank. I surely would have supported the app and gave a 5 Star rating if everything came out properly. I would love for this to be fixed, as this could be great!

Nice app, using mostly to transport my characters off another app so that I can have the PDF. I'd love if this had a website as well, similar to D&D beyond, So I could hop back and forth between phone and PC for ease of access (thus the reason I took a star off) My only other issue is that I have to play with stats sometimes to make things line up, and I would love a search bar for feats and equipment and stuff to cut down on search time. All in all, not bad though.

This app is perfect! Short descriptions for each feat/spell/etc, with links to the SRD for details. Character creation is broken up into chunks that make sense, you can level a character easily, and you have the option to negate the need to look up specific info in the book by printing additional pages. I wish all apps were this functional.

I would have given this app a 5/5 happily save for one major issue. I was forced to factory reset my phone, using it's backup feature. When I looked again at Pathbuilder, all of my character builds had been erased. Apparently they only existed as data, not in any cloud servers, or backup saves. So, I effectively lost countless hours of work and homebrew. Except for that, this app is excellent, even unrivaled, in building Pathfinder characters.

You should allow a way for people to be able to import additional books or info you don't already have or have more custom options for people to add in more things. Other then that the app is pretty solid and looking forward to future updates hopefully the adventurer's guide makes it into the app or more ways to add in custom stuff for more flexibility.

This app is amazing, but there is a problem with it. The skill point chart does not factor in INT increases from bonuses. It also doesn't recognize alternate racial traits for prereqs. The prereqs problem isn't too bad since you can take feat anyway, but there will definitely be problems elsewhere. The SP problem is an issue since once they start accruing bonuses, for a lot of people, this definitely cannot be used as a character sheet. Also, CMD seems to include AC bonuses.

This is one of very few free apps I'm willing to donate to. It's extremely well organized, fairly regularly updated on content and doubles as a fast resource in game for various feats or spells, quicker than most other reference apps. It is hands down the best at what it does having downloaded almost every other pathfinder related app I can find. Unfortunately BECAUSE I use it so much the fact that the 'tags' function doesn't seem to delete properly when being used really throws a spanner into my organising the over 300 characters I've built on here for various purposes. Hoping that will get a fix. I am still eagerly hoping Redrazors will turn their attention to Starfinder next.

Almost perfect, if only you could create custom feats and specials. In example, it lacks some of alchemist discoveries, despite clearly stating that this rulebook is supported. Weird and annoying on this topic, otherwise perfect.

This app has everything! I love how it calculates all of the stats based off of the skills you picked and puts it all in a pdf version of the standard character sheet. Very easy to use, and also allowed me to better explore the list of skills/races/traits that exist out there. Thank you so much. Great app! :D

This sheet is near perfect! Gives you a wide variety of things to pick from and streamlines the process of making your character. While there are definitely a few additions I think could make it better, such as more readily customized inventory or spell slot/damage trackers, the app is still amazing.

Love this app I make a lot of characters randomly when I get bored and everything is set up very organized. However I would like the option to make custom archetypes or the alternative classes like Ninja have access to the base classes archetypes.

Have been using this app for a long time and made many wonderful characters. I still play the first character I ever made on this app and she has become my favorite. I would just like to see an option for going beyond level 20 when multiclassing as she is currently lvl 15 Ranger, Lvl 1 bard, and I'm not sure how to factor that in. Otherwise this is perfect, and I love using this system so much. Thank you to the developers for putting their time and energy into something so very beneficial.

No, not everything is supported, but dang this app allows near everything. Well built, and it makes it so much easier to figure out what feats and options you want for your character. Excellent app. I recommend it to my friends often.
