For Salary calculation just enter Gross Pay amount, and put nothing into rate and hours fields. For Hourly enter hourly rate, hours, overtime and double time if applicable.
Application will calculated payroll taxes for the current date and tax year (2016 is included).Application features 8 deductions that can be set as pre-tax of post-tax deductions.Each deduction can be customized to be a fixed $ amount or a % of the pay amount. Deductions can be excluded from a particular taxation., i.e. 401K as a pre-tax deduction will not be subject to Federal Withholding, but is subject to other payroll taxes.
Payroll Guru calculates net pay, Federal Withholding, Medicare, Social Security, State Withholding and State Unemployment and Disability Insurance (where applicable).
Payroll options include selection of:

- marital (filing) status,

This is a great app and is very accurate, probably only off by a coupe to a few cents. It would be a perfect app if you could input a Gross amount and setup your W2 information then it would give you a net and show you all the deductions.
Fix please. It was working great. For the last 2 days I've not been able to use the app. Everytime I go to calculate my pay it faults out. I've put to sleep. Restarted my phone. Same thing.
This is not accurate it is off alot on Your net pay comparing it to my pay stubs it use to be more accurate but with holding laws have changed. It always says way more out of your check then is coming out. So at least you won't expect more money than you get.
I have 2 jobs with 2 different pay rates. One of my jobs, I work 2 positions with 2 different pay rates(16 hours at one rate amd 24 at another). It would be helpful to be able to add multiple hourly rates on a profile and to be able to set and save different hourly rates for each created profile, much like being able to save different deductions to each profile.
i don't know what the problem is but i can't see my total after calculating. it's like the display is too big and running off the screen. looks like it zoomed in. had started randomly
on a older version it was great, but now the federal tax is incorrect by almost 50%. please repair!
This app used to be great. everything was exact down to the cent. Now it is off by large margins.
Asks what extra deductions you have, then doesn't calculate them into payroll. REFUND & UNINSTALL. pointless without the deductions
Really nice app but it doesn't calculate the federal and Massachusetts rate properly off by $100.
Paid $5 for what? Premium still has ads??
Fairly decent but you can't add bonuses with the paid app
When calculating take home pay state shows $0 which is wrong
When it take out my federal taxes it takes out of mine check $50 when it should be $26 there's a big difference

Great help..love the app and that you help me..but It was working great but, I wish I could save setting. I got a new phone, but I couldn't get old info. Other then that I love it.
We need the option to exempt from FICA and SDI for California, so two stars until it is corrected.
It's ok. I need more than 8 slots for deductions. So I'm not able to get exact pay
Used to work great. Now I can't get it to open. I have to uninstall and reinstall change all settings back to my info. Getting to be a pain
Just updated it to the new 2018 tax and it gives me the same exact to the Cent numbers nothing's changed
Love the app when it works. Can hardly ever get the app to open. It's always saying network not available... app does not work 95% of the time....
App force closes after attempting to calculate payroll after new update
I compared this to my actual check stub. Each time it is about 30 dollars off.

I love this app. I use it every pay week. However I keep having a problem with it saying "network not available"and then it crashes. I've restarted my phone and cleared the cache and data and it still does that. I am using the paid version and would really like this to be fixed.
This was the greatest app until the last update. Now the select profile option does not show anymore. Notified them on this but did not get a logical response. I'm sure I am the only one with this problem. I have the latest version and the same problem. There is no way to create or select profiles. Would you like a screen shot?
Would give it a 5 But I work at UPS At UPS they take a local county tax out on top of our regular state tax But this app doesn't calculate local taxes so I will have to give the app a 4. Please add this feature in next update and I will change my rating.
The app is awesome! I've used for several years on multiple devices. However just two days ago it stopped calculating. The app would either close or not calculate as it should. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app just as another user suggested but I get the same result. Will there be another update?
The app was great but now it says network unavailable. I tried clearing data and cache and I have reinstalled it numerous times and still the same issue
You can gripe about the numbers not being exact or super close, but I dont mind. Where it is off, it is a little low. I use it to plan my budget and the would rather a little low than high. I use this app frequently and couldn't be happier.
