Note: the capture file has to have the *.pcap extension, or it will not be visible in the "open" dialog. Not especially pretty, but functional!
Launches successfully, but crashes when a .PCAP file is selected to be opened. (Moto G4+, Android 7.0)
App is able to read filesystem and find pcap files, but crashes when I try to open them.
Tried to open some pcap files created by NetGuard (app) running on my devices, but the reader crashes on open. I would have expected a more robust implementation which gives at least an error message instead of just crashing.
Very basic. If all you need is to read the tcp metadata you're good, but if you want to analyze anything else, for example diameter traffic, there doesn't seem to be a way to configure that so you are stuck with seing the payload raw in a window where you can't even copy it.
The interface was pretty good. Managed to open pcap files without any problem. Would like to see text selection and auto recovery after clearing ram.
Just wish it had text selection and simple filters for protocols and src/dst ip addresses
I am able to open the pcap on my desktop but not through this app on my Galaxy s5.
I am missing a back and forth option. It would be cool to swipe left and right to browse through the packets.
Looks nice in screenshots, but as another reviewer stated, crashes opening PCAP files saved by NetGuard. Running Nougat 7.1.x, so maybe incompatibility w/ Android?
Is there a specific way the files should be saved? Keeps saying please verify this is a pcap file, but no way to verify it. They are.
Does all it claims too. Room for developer to improve app? Sure and hope they do.
Doesn't see my SD card
Needed to analyze a Wireshark capture from a remote host. Used editcap to "convert" the pcapng to pcap and this app still wouldn't even load the file.
It's good and functional. Will give 5 stars if you add a filter or search options
Crashes immediately when attempting to open a PCAP file exported by NetGuard.
It's pcap
App only sees folders and does not see any files whatsoever on my GalaxyNote8. Absolutely no use to me. I can't give any opinion on how it functions because I can't even try to open my pcap file.
