PCAPdroid - PCAP dump without root

In order to run without root, the app takes advantage of the Android VPNService API to collect the packets on the device (they are *not* sent to an external VPN server).

Dissappointingly now shows [Ad]s Perhaps consider a grace period, or a "hide ad" option to stop ads. Works well still (IAP prices show AU$3.19 rather than $33.99 that came up yesterday) also a "pro" version could be an option (less bloat built-in)
Really buggy. In the time I used this app it crashed like 5 times within the span of 5 minuites. Opening the app filter brought up the apps but the names were corrupted. When the app did work, it was very slow and unresponsive. I can see that there would be a good product here, but sadly it's just broken :(
Very useful! This is the only app that allowed me to easily view which app is always connecting to dt.beyla.site which is tagged by my router's antivirus a suspicious site. Uninstalled Shareit app after that! Been wanting to know which app is the culprit for a month now. Thanks to the developer for making this very useful app!

This app is absolutely amazing! Takes all the work out of setting up a proxy for captures. Would love an option to save connections. Definitely a 5 star app!

Better than what I was expecting! I really needed to see UDP traffic more than anything and boom! This app does just that (and more)! I'm even surprised the app doesn't default to hiding itself from DNS lookups and what not. Impressive!
What an amazing app and it deserves more then 5 stars, Very useful application for people who wants to know what's going on in the background of there phone and what application does how often it connects to the internet and where. It's just what I was looking for and this app gave me the information I needed. Thank you so much for creating such an amazing application.
Extremely useful application, the developer is fast to respond and working on updates to improve the app to make it more user friendly. You will not find another app like this for non root devices which is key.
Since there is no Wireshark for Android this is a nice alternative. It captures pcap files that can be viewed with Wireshark on a PC.
this is really cool, sharing hotspot I can analyze all the traffic from test devices. not to mention that python script in your gitbub to use Wireshark !!

Does what it says. Very Useful. Suggestion: Add a pcap viewer section to allow opening and viewing the saved pcap files.
Fdroid version won't start. Unfortunately only gplay version works for some damn reason.

PCAPdroid is an amazing tool that gives you an ultimate insight into exactly what various installed applications on you device are sending and receiving. It's very easy to use, requires no complicated setup, and seems to capture everything. The UI is simple enough, but it also has the ability to export pcap files which can then be opened in any capture viewer, like Wireshark. All in all, this app is awesome both for beginners and pros, it's well built, 5/5 would recommend!
