PCGen Character Importer
It is unfair to leave a 1 star review complaining it doesn't create a character when it is highlighted in the description!---Just a quick note about the promised updates (21st May 2016):
I have had a few emails lately about the features I have been promising to bring to the app.
Admittedly I put that there were new features coming a long time ago, but since then I have started a new job and had to dedicate a lot of time to family, and as I develop the app in my spare time, progress has not been as fast as I'd like it to be.
Additionally the current app is not very maintainable and therefore hard to add new features without breaking things, I therefore have started from scratch for v2.x, this means it will take longer but already have a group of testers testing the new xml/portfolio importer.
Hopefully the approach I have taken this time will allow me to expand beyond just supporting Pathfinder and offer support for 5e etc...------PCGen Character Sheet Lite offers the same experience for free with adverts---
PCGen Character Sheet allows you to import .xml files generated by PCGen to create dynamic character sheets for use on your Android device.
If you want a character sheet app for your device but don't want to enter all the information manually onto your device, PCGen can do all the hard work of creating your character for you, and then just use email or Dropbox to import it into the App and make your character sheet mobile.
When you want to level up, just update your character on PCGen, email/Dropbox it to yourself and re-import!

Things to note:
*Read the help screen on first load
- it answers most questions!*All code used to make the character sheets look familiar to PCGen users, is my own.*CMB
- the app detects whether your imported CMB Stat value is the same as your STR or DEX modifier, to determine which stat should affect it through Stat Linking (due to certain feats, whether you character size is Tiny etc...)*Conditional Save and Combat modifiers don't appear to actually be exported in the .xml, which is why the boxes will be empty, the boxes are present however to balance out the look and feel of the character sheet, and in preparation in case the information is exported in the future (though an app update would be required to read it).*Stat Linking does not affect damage done by bows, as the .xml does not identify Composite bows, if the name and description is custom and did not use the word "Composite" the app would have no way of knowing so this was omitted.*There is no ammo tracking as the .xml does not provide enough information to efficiently do this.*If you have you imported a problematic .xml file and the app crashes everytime it loads, use the app settings in android to clear data associated with the app.*Use the csheet_fantasy_generic_export.xml template to create your .xml file, all .xml files need to have the word PCGEN somewhere in the file name (upper/lower/mixed case is fine), and the extension must remain .xml, the app will try to read the files from default Downloads directory of your device, which is where email applications such as GMail should save files to by default.

I can't get by the welcome screen. Nothing I do gets me out of it.
This app works really well. The support is really good and resolve problems fast and work hand in hand with you to adjust, fix or just help
The app works more or less as described. It's not super user friendly but not too hard to get working if you have a little knowledge. I would definitely pay a bit more if it let you apply conditions on the fly. That's the main thing missing compared to using herolab for me.
I bought the app after using the lite version, I want to support more features in it in the future, having exp/gold and hopefully level ups someday, keep it up
Only thing I can say is that current gold and xp do not port over.. other than that it's flawless!
First of.. Why is it so closely connected to Dropbox?? The app located a local file, but won't load it.. That is ridicules.. Second, why can't you edit some things?? The only way to advance to a new level, is to start PCGen up on a PC, and enter the new stats. Export the character. Upload file to Dropbox. Import the new file. Delete the old record... :-(
I like this app. I could be a great app, but I think I ran into a bug on my Samsung Galaxy tablet - Android version 4.2.2. I imported a character which works fine until I access his spell sheet, then it crashes and won't restart. Uninstall and reinstall is the only option. The character has no spells per se, but has a few spell-likes from items. If anyone knows why this is happening, I'd be glad to know. Without this problem I'd give it 5 stars.
It just does exactly what the description tells you, and does it quickly and with no issues. Even my overly complicated 18th level Mythic Tier 6 Faerie Dragon Unchained Monk/Lore Warden Fighter/Soul Taker Stalker imported without issue. Awesome stuff, and looking forward to updates!
This app is great but it won't stay open after loading a character. It makes the app unusable
It's great! I would like to see the ability to make your character on the app but other than that, it's fantastic :D
Great program! I really like the way it looks - like a character sheet. It would be really great if there where individual notes for each character, but the regular Notes works fine as it is. I'm looking forward to version 2, but for now, version 1 meets all my needs!
If you didn't have to use Dropbox it would be better.

I only wish there was a way to advance characters from this app, but then again that would require access to all the data sets, which of course would take up WAY to much space. Other than that, I don't have to bring anything to game other than my tablet, and maybe an extension cord! (For when sessions run long.) I hope the makers keep supporting this app, and maybe create similar app for DMs to run combat? I know there are others out there for that purpose, but This app is laid out so intelligently, and is so intuitive, I can only imagine that a DM app in the same style would work far better. Keep up the good work!
This is a solid compliment to the pcgen program. It gives quick access to the important character details that are needed during a play session. I would like to see more cloud storage services integrated, and the existing notes system from pcgen rather than a separate one. I would love to see this become a creation tool rather than just a viewer, but I do not know if that is practical.
With everything it already has, I don't know why this guy doesn't work for the PCGEN group. It's a beautiful app does everything I want it to. My only wish is for it to hook up to the PCGEN DM utilities.
Cleric spells which are auto known in pcgen did not come overwith the import. Otherthen that great app.
Simple, does what it says, and developer is super responsive to feedback. I reported a bug and it was fixed the next day! Best tool available to bring my characters from pcgen to game night.
I would love editable gold and inventory notes. Something of the sort. Otherwise, this app is the greatest.
I had used the d20 Character Sheet app in the past, but the moment I tested out this I couldn't go back. The interface looks so much cleaner. It's easy to navigate around, and being able to switch through multiple character sheets without any trouble has been surprisingly useful. What's more is Disfunctional Apps' quickness in fixing what bugs may come up on importing. Definitely worth a purchase.
so good, I upgraded from the free version. Works fine on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10. As pcgen is highly customisable (and free), it should be possible to get the xml output from it enhanced to include any other bits that could be displayed
I thought that this would be the answer to my prayers because, let's face it, Lone Wolf aren't going to make an official version. But when the other version of this (the one that works with .por files) didn't work, I uploaded a bunch of .xml files. It didn't recognise them, saying they needed a to be renamed, and then didn't work after I renamed them.
