PCGen Character Importer Lite
It is unfair to leave a 1 star review complaining it doesn't create a character when it is highlighted in the description!---Just a quick note about the promised updates:
I have had a few emails lately about the features I have been promising to bring to the app.
Admittedly I put that there were new features coming a long time ago, but since then I have started a new job and had to dedicate a lot of time to family, and as I develop the app in my spare time, progress has not been as fast as I'd like it to be.
Additionally the current app is not very maintainable and therefore hard to add new features without breaking things, I therefore have started from scratch for v2.x, this means it will take longer but already have a group of testers testing the new xml/portfolio importer.
Hopefully the approach I have taken this time will allow me to expand beyond just supporting Pathfinder and offer support for 5e etc...---Download "PCGen Character Sheet Reader" from the Google Play store to have the same experience without ads.
PCGen Character Sheet Lite allows you to import .xml files generated by PCGen to create dynamic character sheets for use on your Android device.
If you want a character sheet app for your device but don't want to enter all the information manually onto your device, PCGen can do all the hard work of creating your character for you, and then just use email or Dropbox to import it into the App and make your character sheet mobile.
When you want to level up, just update your character on PCGen, email/Dropbox it to yourself and re-import!

Things to note:
*Read the help screen on first load
- it answers most questions!*All code used to make the character sheets look familiar to PCGen users, is my own.*CMB
- the app detects whether your imported CMB Stat value is the same as your STR or DEX modifier, to determine which stat should affect it through Stat Linking (due to certain feats, whether you character size is Tiny etc...)*Conditional Save and Combat modifiers don't appear to actually be exported in the .xml, which is why the boxes will be empty, the boxes are present however to balance out the look and feel of the character sheet, and in preparation in case the information is exported in the future (though an app update would be required to read it).*Stat Linking does not affect damage done by bows, as the .xml does not identify Composite bows, if the name and description is custom and did not use the word "Composite" the app would have no way of knowing so this was omitted.*There is no ammo tracking as the .xml does not provide enough information to efficiently do this.*If you have you imported a problematic .xml file and the app crashes everytime it loads, use the app settings in android to clear data associated with the app.*Use the csheet_fantasy_generic_export.xml template to create your .xml file, all .xml files need to have the word PCGEN somewhere in the file name (upper/lower/mixed case is fine), and the extension must remain .xml, the app will try to read the files from default Downloads directory of your device, which is where email applications such as GMail should save files to by default.

love the sheet for pathfinder characters. if I could view my starfinder characters this app would be an automatic 5 stars and I would download the p as I'd version. please, please, please add starfinder sheet option.
I created a character in pcgen and it will not import. Terribly disappointed
Seems like a great app for bridging PCGen to other devices. However, its use of Dropbox and limited ability to use files outside of Dropbox makes this a no-go for me. I use google drive and had downloaded the files off google drive to my asus chromebook 3 's download folder. This software expects the files to be in a different directory and you have no control of where it looks to import from (other than Dropbox). I would give more stares if I could simply import from google drive, not sure why this isn't the new default as dropbox is less popular.
Perfect companion to PCGen. Use it for my Pathfinder sessions on my tablet when at the table. Love the live stat updates for ability changes and effects. Saves a lot of time and takes some of the pain out of play sessions so you can focus on the actual gameplay.
I'm sure it's wonderful for Pathfinder and looks great. Just wish it worked for 3.5 since that's all my group plays
Works great on tablet, but on Android phone there is no way to get past the welcome message.
It seems cool except it tells me I have a file on my SD card it can see but I can't load it without using dropbox which I don't have. So for me, useless
It syncs most things nicely and looks relatively easy to use but some of my skills don't import?

Does exactly what it says: read character sheets exported from PCGen on your PC. Works great!

Does what it's supposed to do
I really like the app. It has most Of the essentials that you need with only a few glitches or things missing. One feature request for v2 would be the ability to prepare spells for casting instead of access to every single onein the spellbook. I still highly recommend this for any pathfinder group! :)
Good app for character sheets. Dissapointing it can only import and not edit characters. Great feature with all the dice
Simplifies the complex combat for my barbarian nicely. Will rate more after my next bard
If you can't import from downloads, try renaming the file to include 'pcgen'. This is a VERY important step that I didn't see written anywhere.
Works just as described. Little bit of a pain to get it to export and import correctly though. I do wonder why there is a paid version? Reading descriptions (briefly) i couldn't find any differences.
Dont bother.
No condition calculation. Only imports from Dropbox. Handy character sheet based on the demo character. Not terribly useful otherwise. Certainly not superior to paper
You can't create a character with this app. Worthless
Hy, so i was looking for a app with a dnd character sheet...so i could put my paper away. But i don't understand...what should i import and from where?

The app is not seeming to work right. When i boot it up it stays on the "do you want a quick guide?" I have no way it seems to click off or get rid of this screen. Id love to try out this app, but this screen seems to be blocking me. Ill gladly update my review once i can try it.
