PCGS Cert Verification
The Cert Verification App makes that confirmation process much easier and much faster. Rather than typing in the coin’s certification number, simply scan the bar code (obverse) or QR code (reverse) found on the coin label.
With this app, users get access to valuable information, such as the coin’s denomination, date and mintmark, grade, mintage, holder type, PCGS Population and PCGS Price Guide value.
Supplemental coin information may also be available, such as a high resolution image of the coin, the coin’s last auction appearance and its current presence in any PCGS Set Registry sets.

So far so good. But,I have a question for a developer- what happens if someone just copies the bar code? Would your system detect it? I don't think so, because I was able to scan the bar code from a computer screen and it worked...you need to add more security futures...
Literally every time I try to use the app, it opens to a blank screen and a pop up comes on saying the app had to close. Tried reinstalling, tried clearing cache, tried everything. Nothing works. Not sure if anyone else has this problem. But it's certainly annoying
The PCGS certification app is easy to use. Scan or type in the number you wish to certify, and the app connects you to that coin, medal or token Assuming the person who had the item graded also paid for a high resolution picture, you should see a bright and clear image of the obverse and reverse. Take a look at the stats to see the number of coins graded, and those which graded higher and lower. You can use this information to help decide if the piece is worth purchasing, keeping, or selling.
Great app to have if ur own PCGS graded coins. Big thank you to the creator. really helped me snag a few morgans that i would have walked and passed . But now i look up the coins barcode to see prev-sales its a good/reasonable app so you dont get ripped off by a dealer or average Joe when purchasing. Seeing how many of the sellers that went GuSt0 and used the MAX price point when they listed it ,but one lil scan and i see what it sold for past auctions.

I just downloaded this but I've been using PCGS's website for years and i presume this will worke just as well. But the one bad thing about both companies is,after they Grade them they never give you the price of the coin either to see how much it's worth if you want to sell it. Or if you want to keep it,even years after grading there is still nothing to even give you an idea of how much the coin may be wort.
Not good for a price guild only gives prices on some coins you have to log in to other apps while using not enough insructions clunky app . Runs like the first atari and probably just as old you can got to ebay and get faster better results. Dont waist you memory on grandpas old big four door Buick. If i could have gave it 0 stars i would have.
The app does not work. All I get is a cannot connect to database error.
man, this app shows everything you need to know about your coins and currency. submit the barcode # or scan the barcode itself and WAMO! there's all the stats or statistics, prices received for the product, on eBay or at Heritage Action house, Stackbowers Auction on cignsignment, etc., etc., etc. and the whole 9 yards go to speak.
I have a few PCGS graded silver dollars and this app said to check the registration number on 2 of the coins. Both were MS 70 First Strike type 1's and I didn't have an issue with the First Day of Issue coins which showed all the information right away. Just saying this for what it's worth
sure saves time & up to date daily.
Your little moving arrow at the bottom of the page doesn't make me want to click on it . Makes me only want to search ngc coins and their app
This ecosystem is really cool. I know PCGS' ownership of the space is... questionable morally speaking, but honestly as a user it's quite nice. I think I will use this again in the future for my more valuable pieces.
At first it was ok but I shop a lot on eBay I like to check the real value against the asking price but more often than not you don't have any prices.what that has done Is cause me to avoid any thing in a NGC slab and just stick to PCGS they are way more dependable and when it comes to my money mister dependable gets it very time and mister undependabl goes hungry.
The one star rating is hopefully temporary. I've downloaded the app and it crashes every time I try to open it.
Good APP, I always enjoy using this APP... Especially when I acquire a new PCGS graded coin & I get to scan the barcode on the holder, etc. Always a rad app, very knowledgeable also, etc.

App is great, other than when I receive an update notice, and I update it clears my history of all certified coins I have entered and own. Can this be fixed? My phone is a Samsung-SM-J320A, Android Version 7.1.1
This app makes looking up graded coins a breeze. It pulls up ill the information you need about that specific coin and lets you know if the grading is authentic.
The info is good, but I have noticed that some how if a regular person send a Coin for certification it's not Graded the same if that Coin belong to PCGS or one of their Big Custumers. Those are always Graded higher than a regular Joe Custumer.
Just let me you there's and update available. Don't glitch out the app to force it. Include coin facts in the populated info.

info isn't always accurate & more info on graded coins would be great.
Awesome everyting in one spot and thy are the best i know of and i do buy other places many others i do busness with but these guys you ever have a chance to work with them do they are so awesome.

I should had have this app in 2003 it would have given me a lot of info on the coins I was buying and selling...

The scanner has maybe worked for me one time, and that took a long time. NGC's barcode scanner works great for me. The lack of available sets for newer world coins is annoying, and frankly another big reason I pay for NGC vs PCGS. On the plus side, I can also add enteries (minus cert #) for all my NGC graded coins, so I can see a list of all my graded coins, with the caveat that many newer coins NGC graded aren't even showing up in PCGS, and may not till a year from now. Could be much better.
